Before reading this book, read the -In Love With The King Of Harlem 1-5 -In Love With An East Coast Maniac 1-3 The King of Harlem’s princess is all grown up and ready to do everything her father said not to do. Living on her own proves many challenges, but has its rewards too; boys sleeping over. While Paris knows that Boo isn’t good for her, the thrill of doing the opposite of what her father says feels so much better. When Paris starts to realize that Boo may not be her happily ever after, will she leave him alone, or does she try to hold on praying it works out? Pinky, Paris’s best friend is a stripper, lives in public housing with her gamer boyfriend, who works part time. She brings the money in and he spends it on games. When Pinky has a gig to privately dance for Biz Giovanni, manager to Nice Giovanni, she jumps at the chance and drags Paris too. One lap dance turns into an entire rollercoaster. There’s one thing; Biz is engaged to be married. When he sees Paris stripping, he automatically assumes she’s a stripper, but she’s so beautiful. He never would assumed that she was a freshman student at Columbia university. Paris isn’t interested and turns his advances down every chance she could get. The fact that he’s the new star basketball player on the Brooklyn Nets doesn’t interest her at all. Nice Giovanni is the golden child, everyone wants him on their team, but he settled his roots on the court of his home team, Brooklyn. While Nice wants Paris, he knows she has a situation, but he’s not willing to take the back seat. What happens when he finds out that the pretty college student is the daughter of Harlem’s notorious gangsta?
Paris was the King of Harlem daughter and was spoiled but she was her own person. Paris was trying to shredded the image of being a daddy's girl . Going to college and making something out of herself and knowning her wortread Pinky was Paris best friend she went thru a hard life. Dealing with no good cheating men and falling for Biz the brother of Nice Giovanni the golden boy of the New York Nets basketball player. Paris meets Nice and couldn't stand him at first. Paris and Nice started as friend and ended up as a couple. Nice was her first and he treated her with respect and love and supported her dreams of being a doctor. Biz was engaged to marry Kamora and was messing with Pinky and got both women pregnant. Pinky had a abortion she wasn't ready to a baby mama and a side piece. Paris give her best friend Pinky a reality check and took her to her to Kamora brideal shower and Brian surprised his fiance with flowers and a gift. She saw the writing on the wall and she left him alone and he left her check to not com back to the strip club Mrs. Lillian believe she could better than that. Pinky moved to Miami and runing her own juice bar personal trainer. Biz married Kamora and he having a baby girl. Parrish and Remi is still going and dealing with motherhood and post partum depression and therapy. Lira is Paris mother and recently divorced and needs to be a mother to her daughters and stop partying all the time she acts like she resent her daughters. I would love a spin-off about the couples and her best friend Pinky. Great read I really enjoyed this book
Yyyyyeeeeessssss, it was great that Pinky realized her worth. It took two to tango, but at the same time, Biz should have been ashamed of himself. Biz knew that both women, his fiancée, and Pinky deserved better than what he gave. Biz took advantage of Pinky.... she was a good girl, that just wanted to be loved.
Paris was raised correctly. It was good to see how I watched her grow up...... Paris wasn't that little teenager anymore, and Uzi should have been proud of the young lady that she had become. She put her school first, and she didn't let being a McKnight brainwash her, which I respected. Nice was good for her, and I wish their was more to their story.
It was a long journey, but the McKnights have finally come to an end, and I'm going to miss them. Thank you for a good read.
We, the readers asked and you delivered! Paris turned out to be such a headstrong, bright, and compassionate young lady. I love her relationship with Uzi and Remi. I’m glad she handled Boo the way she did and I love her and Nice. You don’t even have to write about their future I know it will be the bomb. Pinky had a hard life but she had a true friend in Paris. She made such an impression on Biz. I don’t really know who is the true winner between Kamora and Pinky. Biz has a lot of growing to do. The brief glimpses into the rest of the squad were everything!
Yes!! Ok Paris!! Her and Nice r so cute and made for each other! I love they stori! Im glad she and boo didn't work, but it take bein fed up and recognizin her worth! Im glad Pinky found her worth, she was about to settle for less than! Paris is a good friend, they may hve they arguments, but they got bck right, smetimes tell people the truth they spaz, but its because they dnt wnt to hear it and they knw its the truth. Nw Lira, i knew she and knight wouldn't last🤦🏾♀️, she is who she is and Paris is ok witout her, she tried to make a relationship and it didn't work 🤷🏾♀️ oh well! Good read! J never miss!
This book was everything! As women we tend to use the word friend and don't know the role we should play. A true friend is there through the good and bad times whether they agreed with your decisions of not. Paris was a true friend and at times overstepped her boundaries, but her intentions were good. It takes some longer than others to know their worth. Biz was true to his word when it came to Pinky and I was impressed. I could go on and on because this book was EVERYTHING! If you want a good read, this is it.
I really enjoyed this book. This was such a good read for beginning to end. Paris character was that of a friend that you would definitely want in your corner. Along with that she was strong and smart loyal and patient. I just really enjoyed this book, how life hit her friend Pinky and how Paris was her support no matter what. What friend you know gonna do what Paris did for her friend and wasn't pressed, not gonna tell it cause I don't want to spoil the book for anyone. Read it
I really enjoyed reading about Paris. Glad she left Boo where he was and got what she deserves with Nice. I felt so bad for Pinky but in the end she got herself together and it was pretty much a learning lesson for her. Jahquel it sure would be nice if we could just get a quick update on Nice, Paris, and Pinky. I felt like it was more to be said but glad that we got what we got. Great read!!!!
I loved that Jah brought back The McKnight Family!!! I expected Paris to be a bit more entitled but she has evolved quite nicely. Boo was utter garbage as most f-boys are, but Nice was a great game changer. Now Biz is a whole other type of character, I would love to see how Kamora evolves as a wife and mother. Will she be similar to Wynner, in how she responds as a wife scorned. Pinky is definitely a glo-Up tale. Overall, I was beyond pleased.
I enjoyed this book, because it showed how so many young women can get caught up in stupid relationships. Biz was a typical man whore. Boo was a typical low life who didn't mind giving girls babies, but that was all he could give. But most of all, Jahquel showed how many of us are Pinky's. Thank you. I learned valuable lessons reading this book. Too bad it came 50 years too late.
What a way to end the McKnight legacy. I absolutely loved reading about Paris and Nice. They were amazing together. Pinky was a broken woman looking for someone to put her back together versus loving herself. Paris and Pinky needed each other more than they knew. The book was bomb!
This was a great book to end the McKnight run. I was so proud of Paris and her maturity. Glad she finally let Boo dumb self go and gave Nice a chance..MAJOR upgrade. I’m glad Pinky finally saw her worth and left Biz no good a** alone to his miserable life. Overall, this was a GREAT book and is definitely added to my list of faves. Awesome job Ms. J👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
The King of Harlem’s Princess finally Becomes a Queen
Nice was definitely made just for Paris. As shady as Biz was he was still a good guy. It wouldn’t be Jacquel if she didn’t give us a laugh about Jah minding his legs. Now she knows we want a sequel on Pinky,Biz Kimora & Manic& Paisley.
Absolutely loved EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BOOK!!! Will recommend this to My young daughter, so she’ll understand more about not settling! WHY Should ANYONE.. trying to rate this book Five Stars but my app is acting up! dropped current reading when i saw this release through my email, because this Author is Lethal with the pen and paper!!! ✅✅✅
Please give me book 2&3! I loved this whole series. From King of Harlem, East Coast Maniac, and Rose in Harlem! Updates on all the couples would be appreciated. More on manic is necessary, he's interesting and sweet. Growth of the kids too! Please he!p Emory to find herself so her husband can stop being a playboy.
I just love everything Jahquel puts out. It always has a good storyline and ending. Both woman had to realize they were worth more than what these men were providing. I grew a heart for Biz when he gave her that check to get herself together. Nice was the perfect gentleman. Loved it.
It took awhile for me to get into the story. But it turned around for me with that threat from Biz to Paris. I like how she handled it. For me everything took off from there. I couldn't understand Pinky and Jonathan at all. That was time wasted. Poor Pinky was looking for love in all the wrong places. The story ended on a good note.
Loooooved this spin off that allowed us to get a view into Paris life as a grown up. Despite her trifling non supportive mother she has flourished into a lovely young lady. Pinky was definitely more talented than she gave herself credit for. I’m glad she didn’t let her past define her future.
Little Paris done grew up into a beautiful and smart young woman. I glad she finally let Boo go because he was no good for her. I love Nice for her. He motivates ,encourage and support her schooling. I felt bad for Pinky and I'm glad she finally found her worth. I'm sure Biz loved her in his own way but she didn't deserve to play second. ❤️❤️
Omg, I was thinking that Paris would be this spoiled little brat but she all grown up and i love it, she was a real friend to Pinky by taking her to Biz house, that was a bold move. So happy my girl Wynner got her Groove Back😍 the ending was amazing👌
Great book, I like how you painted Paris more mature and not the spoiled brat we’re use to reading about. I’m glad Pinky got it together and bossed up in the end. It’s always great to hear about everyone else. 5Stars
I couldn’t get enough of Nice and Paris. He was bae all day! Biz got just what he deserved. I was happy Pinky came to her senses and did was right for her. Boo & Jonathon wasn’t ish. I’m so going to miss these guys!
Everyone can hate Biz but he was very upfront about the situation. Pinky should have walked away period. I absolutely loved Nice and Paris together. I would love to hear about them in the future.
Awww I love it That dam Brian had me in my feelings for a min and I am so Happy pinky finally found her worth. And paris got her Happy ending to Jahquel you gave us another banger nothing but 🔥🔥🔥👏
Great book! Paris grew into a wonderful woman. I was so glad when she finally dropped that bum Boo. I loved Nice!!!! Poor Remi...I loved how they all had her back tho. It was good catching up on then. Im going to miss the McKnights!
This story was amazing. It was long but not dragged out. I’m glad Paris was able to find love with the right person. I know the book wasn’t about Pinky but I wanted her to find someone to really love.
I’m sad the McKnight family is over, but I absolutely LOVED this book. Maybe one day in the future you can write to let us know how everyone in their family is doing especially Pinky.
Of course the book was worth the read. I see the family is still they same crazy self. I’m so happy Paris found her happiness. This book was definitely a good read. Read it in one day.
