the first part of the book deals with a kidnapping scene which is quite interesting when I think it in my head but when it's written it's not that expressive or u can say its not that interesting when I read it but in my mind if I imagine it's really cool. So I can say that it's one of those books which has a really good story to it but it's not that well written. I m not trying to say the writer doesn't write good or something like that. Its just what I think about it because I have read earlier books with similar plot line before and I am a extremely emotional person and I cry by the end of almost every book ,I either have happy tears or sad ones but when I was reading this one I didn't cry it is generally I get emotionally attached to the books but when it came to this this one I didn't feel that much and that has been my point since the first day. That is since the the first part of this series I have not felt that connection. But let me say that the story line is really good and this book doesn't ends with a cliffhanger so that kind of good so if I want I can stop reading here but I actually want to read it because I know there are two more books in the series I will read it and let's hope for the best.

The second installment of this story left us in a moment of despair – watching Harley get kidnapped by Parker who we have not seen the last of. We know that he’s a loose canon and sadly, Jackson gave him the perfect opportunity for Harley to get abdjucted.
If you remember, in the last installment, we saw Jackson and Harley fall out because Woodward claimed that Harley was an escort and Jackson made a comment to the notion that it was ok if she was one before. Harley of course takes offense to this and they split up.
While they tried to go their separate ways, it doesn’t work, and Harley goes to his house to make amends, only to see Jackson and Aurora (his ex wife) in an embrace, she leaves, and finds herself being pulled into a van at gunpoint.
The path of this book is one of uncertainty. Jackson realizes what’s happened, gets into his car and takes chase of the van. That doesn’t end well as the van has managed to slip through traffic resulting in Jackson getting into a car accident, getting his by a truck and we have to wonder what that means for his health and well-being.
The plot of the Ponzi scheme takes a bit of a back seat in this book while we wait to see what happens with Harley. She’s taken by Parker and another man, she doesn’t know where they are going and really doesn’t know the full depth and breadth of why Parker has come after her. All she knows is that she some how needs to figure out how to escape since that’s her only hope. She figures that if she can convince the accomplice that Parker isn’t the one with a plan to keep even him safe, then she’ll have a chance, but what happens is that Sam, the accomplice, he leaves and that means that Parker and Harley are left alone.
While this is all going on, Jackson is fighting to stay alive. The doctors are having a hard time bringing him back to life, and they even want to call it since they can’t get a pulse. Thank goodness there’s a nurse who won’t give up and they continue to shock him in the hopes that something will happen. Jackson on the other side of things has these dreams, these visions where he’s with Harley again, but she can’t see him or hear him. He knows that he’s basically dead at this point and that’s not something he can cope with in his dreams.
Some how things work out for Jackson and he’s brought back to life, gets his strength back and some how doesn’t have any serious injuries from his accident. He calls Harley’s parents from Montana to come out and help find her since her mom is police, and we see how that dynamic of things changes the trajectory of the story on that end.
There’s so much uncertainty on where Harley is and in what shape she’ll be found if she’ll be found. There’s no real sense of where she is since the police and PIs can’t track her or a vehicle and it’s only once Sam the accomplice is picked up and given a plea deal that they know a town and address of the cabin that she’s being held.
Jackson leaves the hospital and goes rogue to find her and you can imagine that someone that emotionally charged will never have a good end result and everyone tells him that. We can only hope for the best here.
It’s a roller coaster for sure – we were at such a sad place in the last installment watching this couple break apart and just when we thought that they could find their way back to each other, someone takes that all away from them. There’s fear, harm, life is in the balance, but there’s also a glimmer of what could be the future for everyone if things were just a bit different.
We end this installment at a wedding – one that wasn’t expected given what we know of all the relationships in this story, but one that perhaps will be the impetus of something bigger for everyone involved. I can’t wait to see what happens next since we know that a happy ending for our main characters potentially isn’t in the cards.

The suspense, action and relationships make this romance a total MUST-READ!
What a marvelous epilogue to an AMAZING third part of the of Harley and Jackson, and there is more to come in this TANGLED SERIES by author Charlotte Byrd! I’m having difficulty getting my breath as I’ve been so invested in the TANGLED SERIES, that I feel bereft at it ending – along with the happiness, fulfillment and understanding that Byrd presents to her readers. As always, Charlotte Byrd’s prose was easy to read and eloquently descriptive. However, this part of the TANGLED SERIES is so special, perhaps in part because the writer adds some philosophy to the mix as Harley, Jackson, and Harley’s parents talk about life and what they have learned, as individuals as well as what they have learned from each other. Those discussions made up a majority of my interactions as I read – highlighting truths and hoping to learn vicariously through these fictional marvels – who somehow felt more real as a result. In addition to the prose and philosophy were some non-stop, page-turning segments that kept reader tensions high and my attention focused. So focused that I became engrossed in Jackson and Harley’s peril and pleasure right up until the last page was read and I discovered there is one more book in the series! I voluntarily read “TANGLED UP IN LACE” and this is my honest, voluntary review. I STRONGLY recommend that you purchase your copy of “TANGLED UP IN LACE” today! You will be so very glad you did! Fortunately, Tangled Up In Lace, the third book in Charlotte Byrd’s Tangled series, picks up right where Tangled Up In Pain (Book 2) left us. Like the previous installments, it is a quick read that almost feels more like a serial or an episode. I am definitely enjoying the series but I’m really glad that I waited until a few of the books had been released before digging in because, otherwise, that might drive me a little crazy. I actually thought that I had the entire series but after logging on Goodreads, I’m seeing that there will actually be another book in April but I’m too invested to stop now. Anyway, Lace resolves the two major cliffhangers from book 2 and sets our sights on the future for Jackson & Harley. As an added bonus, I learned an incredible amount about the self publishing industry. If I had the patience and commitment to write a book, I’d pick Tangled Up In Lace over one of those “How To” books any day and probably come out just as well informed.

This series is getting more and more ridiculous. The so called love story between Harley and Jackson cannot get anymore far fetched. This book mostly focuses on the kidnapping, which is dreadfully written and unbelievable, especially as during the kidnapping Jackson has a near death car crash only to discharge himself two days later, finds and saves Harley and his injuries are never mentioned again. There is then a section of several chapters which totally waffles on about self publishing her book. The ex wife is still lurking about then runs off with the man who tried to rape Harley and Harley’s parents turn up and get married. I do not know what has happened to this once good author but this is a load of trash. However I am intrigued how she is going to get another 2 books in this series??so will probably flick through them just to see how it all ends as they are free but definitely do not pay for them!

I received this book for an honest review. This story continues with Harley being abducted and beaten by the one person she is afraid of and now finds herself fighting to stay alive. Jackson sees Harley begin thrown into the van, tries to save her but his car gets hit and he is fighting for his life in the hospital. This story has so many twists and turns as well as the deep love, passion, danger and drama that surrounds this amazing couple, that you are kept on edge with each page you read. Jackson is the only one who tries to save her and by chance they come together, but the happiness and love they finally have may not be enough as trouble seems to be on the horizon. Only Charlotte can write a story that will have you waiting with bated breath to see what happens to these two amazing characters in the next book. This is a must read and I highly recommend this to all.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. We are definitely taken on a ride with this book. Jackson and Harley are definitely dealing with obstacles, obviously the big one that she’s been kidnapped by her stalker and Jackson fighting for his own life. All Jackson wants is to find Harley but people continue to get in the way to try and ruin what they are building. Harley has her doubts of Jackson’s love and loyalty towards her, but she can’t think that way, she needs to be smart and figure out a way back to Jackson. Their story is more intense, suspenseful, twisted and full of surprises. I can’t wait for the next book in this series to see what awaits these two. Highly recommend this book!

Lucky enough to receive an arc for a fair and honest review book 3 picks up with stumbling blocks after stumbling blocks thrown at Jackson and Harley. Not that I ever doubted that Jackson was devoted but in this book Harley realizes it too. What no other reviewer touched on was just how timely these books are coming out. When I came to this page to review, this book, amazon was featuring book 25 of The Arrangement...I clicked on it just to read the reviews...frustrated readers complaining about number of books in the series, the cost of these 100 page novelettes and just wanted an ending. Charlotte Byrd, whether it’s her Black series or this Tangled series respects her readers and that’s why she is always a must read for me.

The story continues with Jackson and Harley. The way these two met was full of excitement and is still going on in this third book. This story pulls you in and pulls on your heartstrings. This is a page-turner and I couldn't put this book down till I finished reading this book. I am so hungry for the next book in this series to come out. I have to say that this series is worth a ten-star rating. I love the way Charlotte Byrd writes and I love her series Black and Crown of York. I received an advanced reader copy and have voluntarily chosen to leave a review. This is my honest opinion.

Harley was kidnapped and Jackson is stuck in a hospital bed after being hit by a car. There was so much action in this book that it had me turning pages until I was finished. I liked how strong and creative Harley was when it came to keeping herself safe and alive. I also agree with her assessment of the deal the cops made with one of the kidnappers. The cliffhangers are killing me. What could possibly happen that Jackson feels he needs to leave her in order to keep her safe? Also, where is the psycho who was behind her kidnapping and what will he try the next time.

Wow this series gets better and better as you go further into it . Harley has felt that she has to let Jackson go and when she turn around to leave her life have changed for the worst,because being kidnapped wasn't in her plans. Jackson has felt that if he can't get Harley to see that they belong together what will his life really among to ,and he finds out Harley has been kidnapped he will stop at nothing to save her not even death. I received this book as a arc for a honest review and I can say that it is true charlotte byrd is a great writer and I can't wait to see what will happen next one.

Tragic events rekindle 2 relationships. Jackson is smitten over Harley. He will do anything to find her. All he wants is for her to be safe. Harley fights for her freedom. They both overcome their ordeal. Jackson starts to open up about his past. Aurora moves on in her left, but something still nags at Harley. Will Jackson and Harley take the next step in their relationship? Can Jackson keep her safe after all that’s happened? Will Harley let him? I’m glad this makes them stronger together, but something just doesn’t seem right. You never know what will happen next.

An amazing well written third in the series. Harley and Jackson having doubts because of their pasts. I am on the edge of my seat through their journey of love, lies, twists and turns, heartache, suspense, angst and romance. Harley is doubting Jackson's loyalty and love because people are continuing to get in the way to try and ruin what they are building. Book three of this series continues Jackson and Harley's story. My heart just aches for these two and I think they are just perfect as a couple. An intense blend of deep emotions, drama, twists, surprises, heart melting love and steamy passion pull you into this romance and keep you craving more. I like this couple so much and can't wait to see what happens in book four. Just so you are aware, yes it does end on a cliffhanger. This is my forthright, voluntary review.

Harley and Jackson's story continues in this third book in the series. It does not disappoint. You will be captivated by the first page and not be able to stop until the final page has turned. These two are surrounded by danger, intrigue and love. Will their relationship survive or will the forces against them win? Bring on book 4! Another great book to the series. The author brings strong characters and does a fantastic job building the story ,pulling you in and holding you there right to the end. She brings a dark suspense filled story , throws in a few twists to go along with a hot chemistry. It's a thrilling story and I loved reading it. Highly recommend this book.

There's so much drama, love, and hot steamy sex in these books. I can't wait for book 4. A definite must read and deserves more than 5 stars. This is the third book of this new series by Charlotte Byrd. There is tons of action and emotions run high throughout the book for the characters and the reader. This is a fast paced action with some good steam between the main characters. The book sucks you in from the beginning and keeps you reading. You should definitely read the 1st tow parts prior to this one so you know what is happening. Enjoyable quick read!

Wow this third installment really takes you on a roller coaster of a ride.
Harley and Jackson really have to fight to find each other and happiness.
The plot follows on directly from the cliff hanger of book two. Telling the story from both characters perspectives really gives the depth and detail I relish.
I am really enjoying this tale and I can't wait for the next installment.
I highly recommend this book and series.

Oh to be tangled up in the lace of life. Third book is definitely a charm. Each endeavor that both Jackson and Harley are surely becoming like family.
I am so excited about this series and to see how Jacks and Harls. Their story and chemistry are well written and oh so amazing.

Wow, what an end of the series .. I started and could not put it down, so good .. you just want to know how it ends and when it comes .. then you just want more..😍😍 This book has everything you want from a book as the closing of a series. Charlotte you have surpassed yourself and I can not thank you enough. From me 5 stars .. even more if possible because this series is more than worth reading. I cant whait for the next 3 books.. so keep them coming

I could not believe I'd read the whole triology. I think the reason is to see how awful and f..dup could a story be written. Hero has a social fobia due to PTSD and also the heroin has PTSD with a tragic past. They met and all is healed. I think this written stuf is kind of fantasy about healing, otherwise everybody knows how the healing from past traumas works. Absolutely not with a kind of insta-love bullshit.

This series is expensive and it could be much cheaper and doesn’t warrant the cost. The story is good but 4 of 5 books end at 85%. Would I buy again? Not for price I paid other books are better story content and cheaper.

Jackson and Harleys love story continues. She is becoming her own person, standing up for herself. She is resilient, strong and independent, but still relies on JAckson for emotional support. Both have trauma, complications and difficult times , but thru it all the still find solace in each other. Sexy , steamy, suspense with twists and turns., I can't wait for the next story in this series.

A great continuation of this series. I love Jackson and Harley together, both a little broken, both have had issues regarding their childhood and difficult feelings towards their parents but fit perfectly together even though one is rich and the other not. I love their chemistry. I love the sensual sex scenes. I can't wait to read the next book.
