Every day had many interesting facts that occurred on that day. Some were about common subjects and some were unknown names and places. Years include far BC and went up to very recent. I even remembered some of them to share.

A fun collection of historical facts. Each is just a paragraph long--not enough to get the full context, but enough to get the reader curious enough to follow up and learn more about some of them. It does seem to be a bit centered on the United States at times, discussing events that surely have parallels in many other countries. It could also use a bit of proofreading, as there as some misspellings, confusing phrases, and even stray characters at times. A few events also don't line up with the majority of historical accounts. Then there are some confusing points, like how Cyrus the Great captured Babylon--this is given on both October 12 and 29. Overall, quite enjoyable, but could use a bit more polish in the execution.

3 years and 3 months later finally finished. Is not a book that you just sit and read for hours. There is not plot or story line, just 632 pages of facts. But I got it done. Am I any smarter? Probably not.

I found this book interesting! It did focus a lot on the US, though. I would have liked to have read more about different countries as well.
