Death Sung Softly (Book 2) Love and War (Book 3) Framed (Book 4) The Kill List (Book 5)

Sam opens his practice as a Private Investigator, and gets his first real case almost instantly: Find Barry Wallace, a local rock singer who was on the verge of making it big, and vanished suddenly! When Barry's body turns up minus his head and hands, the case becomes ominous, and now he has to find a killer, instead!

The evidence comes together, and leads to the discovery of the missing body parts on the estate of a well known talent agent, who stood to gain a lot of wealth if Barry had only agreed to sign the contract he had arranged, and the man is arrested for murder. But Sam gets a bigger surprise when that same man hires him to prove his innocence, and Sam follows a convoluted trail of clues to discover who really killed Barry, and wanted to frame the agent for the crime!

Meanwhile, Sam has blundered into taking a job as the new lead singer for Barry's band, and may be on the edge of a whole new career for himself! Come along for the ride, and you'll get to hear Sam Prichard sing his heart out!

Box Set 4-6

Like the previous set (books 1-3), the plot in each book is unique and highly entertaining. However. I cannot read any more as the extremely irritating attention to minutiae has driven me to my limits.
As a reader I don’t need to know that Sam walked up the stairs, opened the bedroom door and three steps to the baby crib to cuddly his baby with equally mundane details about changing his diaper!! Ugh! Or that who sat where. I am convinced the author is a twenty year old college girl with all the grinning and chuckling, - there’s never a snarl, a snarky remark and everything about Sam, his investigator skills, his marriage is perfect, his team at Windlass is perfect, everyone in the world has high regard. When does anyone NOT think they’re all perfect?

Further to this, there are glaring omissions or overlooked details. Book 1 - (can’t remember its name) they go to lengths to identify a body with no face, no fingerprints, and dental is so badly damaged yet the author completely overlooked DNA.
It’s these kind of absent solutions and the gushy love every character has for Sam and each other that just ruins what otherwise could be highly riveting stories

David Archer is the first author of crime novels that has me completely hooked. Usually, I find crime fiction to be relatively dull reading, and often quite confusing because of poor plot structure. David Archer writes each of his books as if they were three act plays. Each has a setup followed by the main action and finally, concluded with a resolution, often with some surprises near the end.

Great reading. I've now read three of his Sam and Idie series and then went back to starting the Sam Prichard series. I can hardly wait until tomorrow to get into book 5 in the Sam series.

An author who understands people and events that he puts into great reading.

Fantastic read!

I started with Sam and Indiana about half way through the series. Fell in love with those books, finished them and decided to start from the beginning. I gotta say, they are extremely well written and edited. That goes for all of the Sam and Indy books. If you like great plots, wonderfully deep characters, read these. I wish I had started at number 1 and moved forward... But, it has been fun getting to know these characters, it fills in some questions I never realized I had!
Enjoy, I certainly have.

Sam Pritchard Series Books 1-4

Didn't think I would like this series of books but I love Sam and Indie, his wife. He's a medically retired cop turned PI and she is a computer whiz. He marries her and her 4 year old daughter, their mother's hit it off and hers moved in with his and they are both characters. Sam is so lucky horse shoes fall out of his rear.

Sam Prichard Box set 1

I just finished the first box set, and I am very pleased with them all so far. You need to read the first book about Sam before reading this set. This is an exciting character who is constantly being put in dangerous situations.

Outstanding!

I don't give five star reviews to many books, but all four of these David Archer's Sam Prichard books are amazing. Including the songs and lyrics was original and ingenious.

As always a good read

Sam is a good hero. He has many things going for him, including writing and singing with a band. Indie, his wife, is a great computer hacker and they make a perfect couple.

Thrillers All

Thank you for these four thrillers. The storylines were fast-moving and sometimes a little gory and the bad characters were really evil. I enjoy your books--it's hard to put them down because you're interested in what's going to happen next.
