Fans of Pack of Lies

A conspiracy theorist’s dream

“I'm a fan! This second instalment of Bob Nolan's trials and tribulations is a riveting and fun read. We're getting closer to the ultimate truth of what really happened to MH370, but along the way there's no shortage of unexpected, but entertaining plot twists. Mr. West has crafted a taut novel full of robust, sometimes flawed, but nevertheless intriguing characters. Packed with high stakes adventures, elaborate set-ups, cover-ups and conspiracies, witty exchanges and gritty details, this book will keep you page turning throughout your long haul flight!”

Awesome!

“If you are looking for reads that require your full attention, I urge you to check out Bradley West's Pack of Lies and previous Sea of Lies. Don't even attempt to read if you are looking for something during commercials, pillow talk or to knock out a chapter once a month. Start the fireplace, get a bottle of your favorite beverage, put the mobile phone away, lock the door and sink your teeth in! Clancy X 1000.”

Is the enemy of my enemy, my friend?

“Fast-paced, thinking-person's thriller. Who is the enemy of my enemy ? You'll have many opportunities to think that puzzle through, because the action takes place in China, Iran, Malaysia, Pakistan, Russia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and the USA.

“This sequel - book 2 in the series - outshines the credible first book. Both thumbs-up! Looking forward to book 3.”

John K. Dahlberg, April 2018, Amazon 5-star

I've been blogging and writing full-time since 2014. After the Countless Lies trilogy concluded in 2019 with End of Lies, I took a year off as the sinister activities and mysteries on offer didn’t fuel my conspirator’s imagination. Starting in the second quarter of 2020, Singapore shut down along with most of the rest of the world. The combination of Covid-19’s unclear origins and a hermit’s lifestyle rekindled the writing bug and Dark Cure was the result.

There’s only a single major character overlap between Countless Lies and Dark Cure, so existing readers will have a new set of personalities to sink their teeth into. The timing is July 2020 and the setting is the San Francisco Bay Area. Covid-19 mutates into an even deadlier form, an experimental treatment confers immunity on a dying mother-to-be, mercenaries kidnap the baby to siphon his blood and we’re off to the races. The book takes place over a week and it’s an easy read that delivers plenty of intrigue, family tension, and action sequences against the backdrop of the U.S. in collapse.

The second book Hard Road appeared in the summer of 2021 and The Haven comes out in August 2022

* * * * *

I’m originally from Ohio but after a student stopover in London, I headed East and here I’ve stayed for thirty-nine years. Along the way, I’ve been fortunate enough to live mostly in Singapore but also logged many years in Hong Kong with stops in Kuala Lumpur, Bangalore and Colombo.

My fiction is the culmination of nagging doubts dating back over thirty years. In 1985 a leading Asia newspaper alleged that my housemate was the Singapore CIA chief of station. This came as news to both of us. I have questioned appearances versus reality ever since.

I’m a keen mountain biker, former baseball coach and avid fisherman. I enjoy red wine, dark chocolate and raucous friends around the table. If you’d like to connect, I’m on Twitter @TrueLiesBlog. I’m also on Facebook under Bradley West, Author.

Another humdinger from the author of 'Sea of Lies'. Conspiracies and paranoia abound in this fast-paced thriller. International in its scope, and full of invention, 'Pack of Lies' is a great beach read. Just keep looking behind you.

Fast-paced, thinking-person's thriller. Who is the enemy of my enemy ? You'll have many opportunities to think that puzzle through, because the action takes place in China, Iran, Malaysia, Pakistan, Russia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and the USA.

Good-guys and villains - both genders - are thick on the ground; including from within the same 3-letter-acronym government agencies. All of the (American) CIA, DEA, NSA, Special forces and officers from various Embassies have oars in the water, as do their counter-parts from the Chinese Ministry of State Security, Russia's FSB, Pakistan's ISI, Iran's QUDs Force, Malaysia and Sri Lanka's State Intelligence Services plus the Baluchistan Resistance Army and rogue free-lancers from . . . well, suffice to say the agenda's are many and varied.

Plot-twists will keep you guessing, with deceptions, double- and triple-crosses involving frequent violence, ranging from knives and hand-guns to cruise-missiles and military-gear so cutting-edge that you will probably be learning about it for the first time as you turn the pages.

This sequel - book 2 in the series - outshines the credible first book. Both thumbs-up! Looking forward to book 3.

The book is awesome. Picked up where the last ended and just kept going and going. I wanted to keep on reading. The author certainly turned up the heat compared to the first book, more action, more twists and turns that I didn't see coming.
The author certainly knows how to drag you in to conspiracy theories and make them completely believable.
And the ending, WTF? made me want to reach for the final part of the Trilogy and start reading immediately.

Great read Brad, can't wait to see how the final book unravels.

Grips you by the scruff of your neck and drags you along at a roller coaster pace. A plot worthy of Clancy, as meticulously researched as Forsythe and a complex non-hero worthy of Le Carre, these 337 pages pack a punch like a 0.44 Magnum hollow-point at close range.....

This is an intricate mystery - with lots of action - that builds to an incredibly exciting finish. However, the story ends with a few loose threads - unsolved mysteries - and you feel desperate for a copy of End of Lies, the final book in the Lies trilogy.
