Bloody Hell Addicting!!!!! That's right, I am addicted to this series. Lauren Smith has me hooked. I didn't expect to get addicted to this forbidden romance so fast but I am and I can't help it. Maybe I can blame Lauren for her swoony hero, Tristan, who happens to be British. Yes, who doesn't love a hot British man whispering dirty and sweet nothings in your ear.
Seduction picks off where it last left off in Forbidden so you would definitely need to read the first book in order to understand the tangible and palpable bond that Tristan Kingsley and Katherine Roberts have for one other. So what makes this book so bloody hell addicting? Well, the answer is simple. Lauren Smith has perfectly composed and written a story that has depth, heat, sensuality, and a romance that leaves you with that warm fuzzy feeling.
“Because five minutes ago, Katherine Roberts had walked through the door with her father, Clayton. My Kat. The girl he’d ruthlessly pursued and sweetly seduced until she’d succumbed and let him take her to bed. The girl he’d fucked so hard she’d had trouble walking the next morning. The story of Tristan and Kat continues with their sudden surprise and dismay that they could be future step-siblings. As much as they both love their parents, this connection that Tristan and Kat is something that can't be easily extinguish. After the whole revelation of learning that their parents are engaged, Kat tries so hard to distance herself from Tristan because she knows that the further she continues to be around him, she might fall hard and get her heart broken.

Confused and a bit irritated that Kat is distancing herself from him, Tristan tries his best to stay away. But like a moth to a flame, he can't help it. The possibility of what if this girl is the one lingers in Tristan's head and that is one what if that he doesn't want to take a chance of losing. So as Tristan breaks down Kat's guarded walls, they continue to embark on this new found connection and secret relationship. But what happens when a photo of Tristan and Kat is leaked to the press and made of a media spectacle? How will Kat and Tristan face their parents when they discover that these two have been having a secret relationship? And what will Tristan's father do in light of the recent scandal?

So if you read my previous review, you would understand my hesitation on reading another "stepbrother romance" but in all honesty, Lauren Smith went beyond that generalized trope and gave her readers a romance that can steal your hearts. She didn't just generalized that Tristan and Kat could be future step-siblings but she allowed readers like myself to see an honest and raw relationship of two fated strangers, who met and fell in love but had a sheer bad luck of coincidence when they discovered that their parents are engaged. What has me addicted to this series is this connection of Tristan and Kat. I love Tristan. He didn't come off an as an arrogant rich Brit but a simple ordinary lad who didn't find the right person that is until this beautiful and innocent American girl found a way into his heart. I adore the relationship of Tristan and Kat. It's complicated but in the end, it's beautiful. It is the kind of relationship that you can't simply extinguish because this bond that they have for each other is so deep.They too can't even put into words of how strong this magnetic pull is.

Seduction definitely did turn up the notch in the SEXY department. Ms. Smith had the alarms blazing because Tristan and Kat were scorching HOT!!! I swear that man can only make taking a shower oh so entertaining and dirty!!! What is left to say but GO READ THIS SERIES!!!!!!! I am so glad that I took a chance on this series because I am definitely going to check out more works from Lauren Smith while I TRY to be patient for the release of the final installment. Well, the KEY word is TRY. So if you are looking for a story that is layered with steamy scenes, raw emotions, and a forbidden love then go give this series a READ!!!!

As you would expect Seduction pretty much picks up from where Forbidden left off, and after the revelations at the end of the first book, Lauren really ramps up the sexual tension between Tristan and Kat in this installment.
I think what really brings everything from simmering to scorching levels on the sexual tension front and keeps it on the burner the whole way through, is the approach Lauren uses to this couples romance, she teases you with the connection that has already been forged between them, and adds depth to their emotional ties with each new revelation.
Adding into the mix the fact that Kat’s father is now marrying Tristan’s mother, just makes every touch, glance and sexy moment that they share with each other from that point onwards even more important to the bond that is growing between them.
"Someday you will fall in love and it will change you forever."
Although Kat’s repeated attempts at distancing herself from Tristan in light of the new developments fail pretty quickly, you can also see the internal struggle the pair have with continuing their relationship, at the possible detriment to their parent’s happiness if they are found out. But unwittingly their parents succeed in pushing them further together and deepening their emotional connection even more over the course of the time they all spend under the same roof over Christmas.

This story is far from over, and once again I must reiterate that don’t let the whole 'Step-brother' theme put you off. It is a part of the story, but it isn’t added for titillation or shock value, although their relationship is perceived as forbidden and carried out in secret, this couple are both fully aware of what they are doing, the connection between them is formed from mutual attraction and an emotional understanding of the others deepest wants and desires, and not just because they find themselves living under the same roof as each other, and their hormones are in charge.
"It’s more than that. And it scares the bloody hell out of me, but we have to find out where this goes."
Not too long to wait for the final part of Tristan and Kat’s story; Climax is due for release early April, and I cannot wait to see how Lauren ties all the loose threads of the story up.

Part 2 of the story has Tristan and Kat struggling to come to grips with the dilemma of their parents' engagement. Both must confront the fact that, in a very short time, their feelings have deepened and stepping away cannot be the only solution.
Fortunately, the issues that plagued me in the first story weren't quite as prevalent here, though I did a fair amount of skimming over repetitious ruminating, past and present. I enjoyed getting more about the personalities of these two, still remaining a bit cool about the playboy Tristan who can be overbearing at times.
Looking forward to the final conclusion.

'Seduction' by Lauren Smith is book two in the "Her British Stepbrother " series. This continues the story of Kat and Tristan. This book just as the last one ends in a Cliffhanger to continue their story. I would say it is better to read the books in order to truly enjoy their story. We pick up Kat and Tristan story where they find out that their parents (Kat father and Tristan mother) are getting married. This set Kat off that they cannot continue any type of relationship as this would hurt their parents relationship. But Tristan does not want to end it and thinks they can keep it a secret. In this book we see how they are trying to deal with their budding relationship along with their parents relationship. I could not put this book down and cannot get enough of their story!

I will admit, I love just about anything British, but there is just something about Tristian that is to die for. I devoured this book I can't wait for the last installment.
SEDUCTION picks up where Forbidden ended, with Tristian and Kat heading home for the holidays. What they didn't expect was to discover that their divorced parents were dating and now engaged. Their parents relationship now throws their relationship into turmoil, as Tristian tries to figure out a way from them to secretly still see each other and Kat does her best to keep her future step-brother to just that...step-brother.
Tristian gives readers, even more, reasons to fall in love with him with this installment. He wrestles with the spot he and Kat find themselves in. He wants Kat like he's wanted no other, needs to be around her just as much as he needs to bed her. He tries to understand where Kat is coming from while at the same time pushing her to realize what they have and fight for it. Then there is Kat. She's absolutely torn between her father's happiness and her own. And I could completely understand her willingness to let her father finally have his. Plus there was the knowledge that she was not the kind of woman the future Earl of Pembrook would be allowed to marry. Each time she pushed Tristian away, it was two-fold: protect her heart from the heartbreak she knew was coming and ensure her father finally found happiness. It was heartbreaking, especially since readers know the chemistry Tristan and Kat have together is something that won't be ignored...no matter who much one or both of them wants to.
I can't wait for the final installment in this series. I have a feeling Tristan's father is going to make things much worse before our couple can find their HEA.

Tristan oh Tristan. Why are guys like you a dime a dozen? Can’t you duplicate yourself about, ten thousand times and spread yourself across the world? Sigh…Oh, that’s right, I have to write a review…
Well, we were left with quite the cliffhanger in Forbidden and this picks up exactly where it left off. The “grenade” has officially been thrown and is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, read Forbidden before you read this one. You will understand the dynamics between the two so much better than reading this as a standalone. Not to mention the relationship isn’t as “creepy” as it may seem.
What in the world are Tristan and Kat going to do now that they’ve learned that they will become stepsiblings? Ignore each other, that’s what. Well, at least “try” to ignore each other. Too bad the chemistry between the two of them is so intense they can’t seem to keep their hands off each other. Not easily done when you’re parents are under the same roof. Don’t worry. Tristan has a plan.
Kat is so torn between letting her heart feel and making sure that her Dad is happy. Which one is more important, or right? The longer she tries to push Tristan away, the more she realizes that their chemistry is more than just awesome sex. Does Tristan feel the same way? After a trip to London and an unexpected turn of events, sealing off her heart seems impossible. Now the question becomes, is she good enough for him?
Red Alert. Red Alert. Yes, there is another cliffhanger. It’s not as “shocking” as the first one in Forbidden, but it definitely leads us into the third installment. So now what happens when their secret isn’t a secret anymore? I guess we’ll have to wait to find out.

Forbidden left off with Kat and Tristan realizing their parents were engaged to one another and soon Kat and Tristan would be step siblings. Now the two must try to hide their relationship not only from the media but from their own families as well. Kat soon realizes that even though they are so much alike, they come from two very different worlds. She knows she could never fit into that life and Tristan knows if he disobeys his father, he'll likely lose everything. Pursuing this relationship will be the biggest risk either has ever taken. Are they brave enough to go for what they want? Lauren Smith continues to suck me into this story. Kat and Tristan are perfect for one another but their circumstances are the worst! I just want to step into this story and fix it all for them! I can't wait to see how it is all resolved in the third book. And I'm hoping that Carter's story will follow as well.

Book 2 doesn’t disappoint! Neither does Tristan!
Lauren has done it again. Book two continues where it left off. Tristan and Kat find out that they’re soon to be step siblings. Can it get any worse? When Kat tells Tristan to leave her alone he doesn’t believe that she can just turn off the feelings between them. There is something much more than between them than just a one night.
Since our British bad boy doesn’t give up easily, he tries his hardest to make Kat see they’re meant to be together. When they have a fight, he leaves, ending up at a pub. Brianna finds him drowning his sorrows, worse for wear he decides to spill the beans. That he’s slept with his future step sister. After a few pints, and a little bit of meddling by Brianna, she calls Carter for some help to get him home. Little does Tristan know what is going on.
There are some scorching scenes with our bad boy and Kat. After a short tour in London the pair go off in search of a Christmas tree when they get stopped and asked to take part in a photo shoot for charity. Thinking nothing of it, Tristan agrees, after a promise from the photographer that the pictures are private. Once they get home, they find out the Tristan’s father has ‘summoned’ him, with no other choice, he packs a bag and tells Kat that once she’s decided what she wants, all she has to say is one word. “Yes”. With that he leaves.
I don’t want to say much more, since it will spoil the ending, but Lauren has once again left us with a cliff hanger that has left me pulling my hair out! I cannot wait for the next book!

Book 2 of the 3 book series Her British Step Brother.
Forbidden ended off with Kat and Tristan finding out that they are to be Step siblings now they have to figure out if they are still willing to try to keep their fledgling affair alive.
I absolutely loved this book Kat is willing to sacrifice anything for her father to be happy even her own happiness. And that is what drags you into this book. The emotions and turmoil that these two characters go through makes it so you don't want to put the short story down. I can't wait to read the final short story about how these two work out their problems.
You will not want to miss this book, I guarantee you that.

Another fantastic installment in this unique twist on the stepbrother theme. If anything, I'm loving the way Lauren set the storyline up more than most stepbrother books because of the additional conflict/emotional strain that comes from the couples' scenario.
Definitely looking forward to the final installment. No doubt, I'll blaze through that one as fast as the first two.

After the photo shoot, Tristan is summoned to his father’s estate and tells Kat goodbye. It's the best thing for them considering they are now step siblings. He also tells Kat, if she changes her mind to let him know and he will be back.
One night / early morning Kat and Tristan's life is about to come crashing down on them. While watching TV Tristan see the photographer on a news program. Her photo was chosen as the fairy-tale campaign winner and the photos will be displayed all of London for over 2 months.
This book ends in a cliffhanger.

Oh my goodness! The story between Tristan and Kat continues in Seduction and I could not put it down! This story had me sitting on the edge of my seat biting my nails in anticipation for what was going to happen. I felt my heart being ripped and stepped on throughout this entire book and I could not put down this book even if I had to. I cannot wait to find out what happens next. Each character extracts an emotion from me, whether it's Tristan and Kat, Lizzy and Clayton, Carter and Celia, and even Brianna. It will be great to see what happens to each character that I have came to love. Cannot wait to see what happens next.

This is the second installment of the Her British Stepbrother Series. This is so scorching and heartfelt that my fingers were sweating. Kat and Tristin are trying to figure out how to make this relationship work. Their ardent feelings towards each other have them clinched. Their fierce fiery attraction can not be denied. What to do and how to keep it a secret from their parents. This series is really getting good. I can't wait to read the next book. Please hurry. Kat and Tristan are playing a very dangerous game , needing to be together , physically and emotionally, but because they are to be step siblings ,now feeling that’s impossible.
Added with the fact his father want him to marry another , let’s say things aren’t looking good .
Kats pushing him away and he doesn’t want to go , how will things work out , can’t they ever be together .
This is such and emotional book, if I mention butterflies and showers , when you read the book you’ll know what I mean

The story that readers find in this, the second installment of the Her British Stepbrother series, is one that is built on the expectation of something great. Great sex, high drama, and lots of wtf?
And for the most part, that is indeed what we get.
With Kat, Tristan, and their unchecked desire forced to spend the holidays with their newly engaged, and blessedly clueless parents. You can bet that things can and do get more than a little toasty between Girl A and Boy B.
Although, much to her credit. Kat is doing her best to keep things "hands off".
At first anyway.
But let's face it...when being bad can feel as good as it does with Tristan, who really wants to be good?

Seduction, unlike its predecessor, has no problem in living up to its title. Because seduction is first and foremost Tristan's mind, and he spends his every waking hour making sure that both Kat and their readers are fully aware of that fact.
Where the last book was a great deal more talk than action on the part of our luscious leading man.
This time things are considerably more "hands on."
Well...hands, mouths, bodies, etc.
The thing that makes this story so great is the fact that everything that these two are doing is so very close to the surface. Just beneath a table, behind a door, or barely out of earshot.
Forcing the reader into the role of voyeuristic lookout.
That is of course, after you finish biting your nails down to the quick because of the emotional turmoil that Kat's guilt is causing.
Guilt for the pleasure. Guilt over the secrecy. Guilt over the fact that her happiness could destroy the one man that she loves most. Her father.
This book is a fun and oh so sexy read. A true one sitting wonder. Because the deepening of Tristan and Kat's relationship coincides with the rather inconvenient development of one between the two people that they love the most. There is no way that readers can put this book down until its climactic end.

An excellent, emotional continuation…
This is the second book in the Her British Stepbrother series, part two of a three part serial.
The story continues from where the last one left off, Tristan and Kat are shocked and dealing with the repercussions of their parents’ actions. Neither was prepared for finding out they will be step-siblings and they both knew to pretend that they didn’t know each other. Ending what had begun between them was the politic thing to do but not what their hearts desire. Tristan wants to continue things between them secretly but Kat fearful of her own emotions tries to keep things platonic.
But it’s not just a physical attraction between these two, the more time they spend together at the behest of their parents to get to know one another the more the emotional connection between them grows. The time they spend around London is sweet, romantic. They see each other, they understand each other’s deepest desires making them want each other more. What they have is rare, they need to find out where it can go or they’ll always regret the not knowing what could have been. Even obsession needs to run its course. What they feel for each other is changing them, Tristan wants more for himself than what has been planned and to be a better man than he has been and Kat wants to overcome her fears. Sometimes it truly is best to have loved and lost than to never know such a love at all.

Kat and Tristan continue to dance toward some kind of happy-ever-after in book number two. Despite the differences in their background their attraction is mutual and sizzling hot. I found their struggles and emotional reactions to a delicate situation -their parent's engagement- believable.
Lauren took me through several ups and downs and made me wonder how these two could ever be together with all of the obstacles in their way. Yet she still managed to give me just enough hope to think it could be possible. (Personally, I'm voting to have a house dropped on Tristan's dear-old-dad.)
I thoroughly enjoyed SEDUCTION and cannot wait for book three to be released!

Lust and denial. Tristan and Kat do a whole lot of lusting, but despite the situation they are in, there is very little denial. The fight against their mutual attraction makes things interesting. A lot of push and pull, but when it comes down to it lust wins.

Wow! This is a thoroughly engrossing and emotional love story, a roller coaster of uncertainty and one obstacle after another. There is something invigorating about reading a story of a first love so intense that the thought of these two being apart causes stress for the reader. There's a sense that these two are actual soulmates, the missing pieces to each other's hearts, and though difficulties are to be expected, nothing will truly keep them apart. I can't wait to read book 3!
