Christmas at the Aquarium: A Salinia Christmas Novella

Rate this book
It’s Christmas 2009, and the annual Christmas at the Aquarium is about to begin. Cameron Turner and the rest of the Aquarium team are preparing to welcome visitors to the Aquarium and the Grotto.

Whilst we all expect a few kisses under the mistletoe over the festive season, there is more romance than normal when a failed elopement leaves two days to plan a Christmas wedding, can the Aquarium team save the day?

This 31,000 novella is a second epilogue to A Count Undercover, but also stands alone.

Kathryn Bullivant - a new author to me... This was my first novel by Ms. Bullivant. I chose this book, as it was a Christmas story and I wanted something to read that fell into the spirit of Christmas. I typically love stories set around British royalty. This story-line being set in present day, prompted my interest.

I originally was going to rate this book a 3, but chose to change my rating, as I fell into the story-line with all the characters. There were so many characters in this short story that is was hard to follow where the author was going with the story-line. Since reading this short story, I have learned the author offered a Preface with a list of characters in her first novel, Fulton's Daughters. This will definitely help with understanding where the many characters fit in the story-line, when reading future novels in this series. Written in first person as opposed to third person was also challenging due to the number of characters and trying to follow along the story-line.

Focused around two cousins Cameron Turner and Adam, Lord Spudworth of Leighwell Hall and their love interests and friends. The story, "Christmas at the Aquarium" is about friendship, family, forgiveness and honor. If you choose to read this story, I'd recommend reading the first two before this one. It would flow much better, thus, rendering a better understanding of the story-line.
