Wow!!! Get the tissues ready. I want to know what happened a year ago. Who is Khloe talking to at the end? I need to read the next book.

This is one of those books that is really hard to rate.... It deserves 5 stars because it is so well written and hooked me into the story from the very beginning. However, I felt frustrated a bit with the time jumps and all the mystery. And, I have to wait for the next book for a conclusion. Even so, I am convinced that the story will be worth it.

So if you have been reading the series you know that American Prince picks up Khloe and Damon's story. Told from dual POV, the story picks up a year from when we left off last. There have been a LOT of changes going on since Damon showed up at Khloe's house and whisked her off her feet.
American Prince flips back and forth between past and present. In the present, you can tell that there is something going on and things with Khloe and Damon are a lot different than when we left them last.
When it flashes back to the past we get to see what all we've missed between the two of them... but there are still a few secrets we are left in the dark about...
I have been hooked on this whole family since the very first book between Chrissy & Allen. Every single book has just gotten better and better. I have had American Prince preordered since the first-day preorder went live, and since the day it released it's sat on my kindle until today when I finally couldn't take it anymore and had to start reading.
I sooo don't want this story to end, and NOW after reading American Prince... I am sooo scared what I'm going to find when the next book, American Princess, comes!
American Prince leaves off on a HUGE cliffhanger and OMG... if what I am thinking is happening or has happened... AGHHH I'm going to cry sooo many ugly tears! That ending... GOD American Princess can't come soon enough!

A fabulous book
Why did I give this book a five star rating? I am telling you this is a fabulous book, with the proviso that you need to read the series. This book is a middle section, doesn’t do well on its own, has a cliffhanger ending, and despite the title, in this book, the royal part is tangential. It also switches POV and from Past to Present frequently. Very little backstory is included. STILL fabulous. One more book in this series in May. So you have time to catch up.
This is the 3rd book in Khloe and Damon’s story in the (9 books so far) Sand and Fog series. Start with The Last Girl if you just want to read this story, but I advise reading the whole Sand and Fog series (which I obviously have).
In fact, there is no excuse not to have read all of Susan Ward’s books. They are well-written, have characters that you will fall in love with, and they are inexpensive, plus available on KU. I started with The Manny (yum!), and was swiftly addicted.
I highly recommend Susan Ward. Her books are angst-y, sexy, and heart-stoppingly real.

Suspense is driving me crazy
The book goes back and forth between the past and present. It gives little here and there that something major happened to drive them apart. Every time I think I have it figured out, something else happens. When it is during the present time, Damon is trying to win Khloe back. He wants her back but yet he won't let anyone else near him for their safety. When it goes to the past, Damon and Khloe are so happily in love. They are living on a ranch in Wyoming and Khloe finally feels completely happy and at home. When something happens to her health, she fights everyone because she is tired of having her choices taken away. When they manage to get over that hurdle, something major happens to both of them. The love and the passion between them is strong and at times very sweet. The way the book ended has me all tied up in knots because I want to know what happens next, both in the present and in the past.

Susan Ward has me wrapped around her finger when it comes to the Parker/Manzone family. I have been in love with this series since the first book where Chrissie met Alan and the love affair between Damon and Khloe is one to rival her parent's love.
In the last book Damon and Khloe were married and seemed on a path to happily ever after. In this book we go back to Damon coming to Khloe in Pacific Palisades and see how their journey actually happened. We see the struggles with Khloe's health and Damon's family and the effects that they have on this couple.
I honestly can't wait until the next book comes out. I want a happy ever after for the youngest Manzone badly.
If you haven't read about this family, go start the series immediately. And don't forget the books about Grandpa Jackson and Linda. This is one of my favorite book families and I can't wait to share them with you.

Wow...just wow! I love all of Susan’s books about the Manzone’s but Khloe and Damon are hands down my favorite.
This book had me hooked from the beginning (it is part of a series and is best read in order or at least all of Khloe and Damon’s story books 7-9 and soon to be 10). Susan keeps you guessing all the way to the end and beyond...I’m still not sure I understand all that happened - my mind is reeling and my heart is pounding - but I know I want more, hurry up May 22nd!!
This book picks up where book 8 leaves off and ties Susan’s novella, A Very Damon Holiday, right in. I love that we got to see Khloe and Damon’s relationship before and after their wedding.

Wow! Talk about extreme measures. One intriguing tale that hooks you from the start and reels you in for the duration. All the drama, uncertainty and suspense make for one exciting experience. A whirlwind of mishaps, surprise and events that bring all of your emotions bursting to life. Drawing you in so deep until nothing else exists. The characters are authentic and relatable with on point personalities that bend and flow. The scenes are vivid and breathtaking in the realistic true to life form. Twists and turns abound with unexpected circumstances that thursts this bad boy to life beautifully. Fantastic job Susan, thanks for sharing this awesome gem with us.

I received an ARC from Susan Ward for a promise of an honest review.
I havr loved these series since Christy and Alan got together but this book I think it the best in the series. When we last saw Khole and Damon they were happy and married but this book we learned that all wasn't well. You could say it is a second-chance romance but yet it doesn't truly fit that category. It is full of emotional angst. I did hate the ending because it was building up my emotions and then it ends in a cliffhanger. I cannot wait until American Princess to find out how it concludes.

This is the continuation of Khloe and Damon's story. The book give multiple points of View (Khloe's and Damon's) and goes from the past to the present. It fills in many of the gaps as to what happened in the last few years though it does end in a cliffhanger and there are quite a few susprises. Can't wait to see how it ultimately ends. This is a second and third chance love story with tons of emotion, well developed characters and a story that keeps you reading well into the evening.

I’m a confused mess.
I have followed Khloe’s saga from the beginning. Heck I’ve followed Chrissie’s as well.
Although I loved it and I loved seeing a side to Damon. Especially in really testing times. There was a lot of inner monologues that made everything drag. Not once has a Susan Ward book dragged for me.
It was all too much information yet not enough time or explanation. The end, yeah it just frustrated me more. It’s hard to be anxious for the next book when I’m very confused. I do hope Khloe gets her HEA. This was not a HFN.

Khloe and Damon - OMG - I don't know where to start this review. This story is so complicated - full of love, passion, hurt, twists and turns, laughter - There are not enough words to describe the feelings you will experience as you continue with Khloe and Damon's story. Beautifully written, intriguing story that grabs you from the first page and leaves you breathless at the end. I received an advanced readers copy of this book, but purchased it for my collection.

I am so vested in this series. I feel as if I am part of the Manzone family. Damon is so easy to love completely. Khloe is fiery, first and so much more than meets the eye. I need to see how This story plays out because anything is possible in the Manzone clan!!!!

Omg the angst in this book is so thick you could cut it with a knife!! This series of the Manzone family has been a fabulous saga of love, angst, and family. Damon and Khloe are a whirlwind of emotion and romance, and so much angst. This story is a cliffhanger, but the next part will be out soon. I can’t wait to find out where this story goes from here!!! So excited!!

OH my! LOVE this story - These two cannot seem to get it together and find their HEA - Their story continues in American Prince and their love for each other is as strong as ever, however there always seems to be something in their way. This book ends in a cliffhanger - so hang on and enjoy this installment! I received an advanced readers copy of this book and am gladly leaving my review.

I have no words! I can never predict where Susan Ward is going to take her stories and I love that! The connection Khloe and Damon have is everything. You have to love watching 2 great people try to do the right thing but still find their way together! I can't wait until May 19th!!!!

That ending! I must read the next book immediately! American Prince is another winner from Susan Ward, and takes place during the tumultuous year after the end of the previous book, The Last Guy. You should read these books in order, starting with The Last Girl (but really, read all the Parker saga books because they are fabulous!) as they form part of one continuous story. And it is soooo goood!

Khloe and Damon's story has been a mixture of friendship, love, and drama that tears them apart but they always seem to find their way back to each other. This story is so much more. It goes back and forth from present to past. It gives you hope for their future.
The ending left me wanting more. I am excited to read the next book to see what happens next.

I really liked this read. Damon and Khloe’s story are intense with loads of drama and plenty of twists and turns. Will they finally get their happily ever after? A fast-paced entertaining read. I liked it.

This is a very good read that is well-written, has drama, intrigue, dual POV and defined characters. I would recommend that the full series be read before starting somewhere in the middle as I did. That said, I still liked the story. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
