These books! I have patiently waited for this finale of a book and I must say she didn’t disappoint. So happy that Clara and Elliot got there happy ending! Although I am saddened that Nikki didn’t get to sit upon her dads throne because I feel she has went through so much and has changed for the better throughout the book she deserved as much. Then I wonder of Peter and what happened to him. I am sure we will be seeing Nikki’s happily ever after as well as what Peter is up too in Season 2! Fingers crossed!
Spectacular book that leave one on the edge of their seat, conflicting scene where the blond princess evaporate into ash. What a book, unexpected in every was hoping to see the relation between Nikki and Petter bloom. This book is more engaging that ever will Nikki be destine to be with the human with magic in his blood or the wolf 🐺. Can’t wait for the next book. But would have love to see Nikki seating on her throne as heir to the kingdom her father handed to her. The scene where father and daughter confessed their to each other was lovely.
This one dragged. I'm not a fan of dream sequences, so most of the book being in one made for a frustrating read. It was hard to take the action seriously since it was in a dream. When they're out of the dream and fighting creatures, I didn't understand why. I powered through because I want to be done with it all. I phased out a lot of it, or found things to multitask with while listening just to get it over with. So it's possible I just missed the why. Or the why could have been given when the solution happened.
This one was pretty repetitive. "Remember this thing!" A chapter or two later. "I just realized something I already realized! Remember it!" I lost count of how many times someone says something is impossible or asks how something could be possible, sometimes focusing on their denial about the possibility of something happening in front of their face. It's a common theme throughout all the books, so by now I'm tired of hearing it. There were times things were explained, then explained again with some more details sprinkled in, which looks messy and fills up unnecessary space.
Throughout these books, there's been a similar theme of random descriptiveness, then telling us something is horrible to behold without explaining why or what this horrible thing actually looks like. It's mostly a tell rather than show kind of story.
Another thing that threw me off throughout the books was the common use of first and last names. It made a lot of sections feel unnatural.
Maybe I misunderstood, but the worlds went between six to seven. Perhaps the fist mention meant six worlds besides the one they were on, but it wasn't clear, so it reads like a mistake. Again, I could have simply missed something.
The big reveal was pretty easy to figure out. I'd been suspicious for a few books now. I'm not mad about it. It's fine. The plot is interesting, and the worlds are interesting. It's the characters that are hard to get behind.
I know there's more to come and I don't really want to read on. I have curiosities when it comes to things that weren't complete, and don't know if we do get those loose ends tied up in future books, but I'm not sure I can put myself through more. Maybe one day, It was a decent cliffhanger, but maybe this is just it for me. The whole series felt like a waste of time. Had I not bought the box set I would have stopped by book one or two. I crave a stimulating read that's enjoyable, so that's what I'm going to go in search of for the time being.
While plenty of my reviews of this series are fairly negative, I respect the author for the work they put into this. Writing isn't easy and from what it looks like, a lot of this was written quickly, which is even harder. While this could have benefited from an editor and some developmental feedback, it's better than some other things I've read. There's something here, it's not for me, and that's fine.

"The Witch's Destiny" by Emma Glass stands out as a notable disappointment, especially when compared to the last nine books I’ve read. Although I approached it with high hopes due to its captivating premise, the execution fell short of expectations. Unlike the previous novels, which were rich in character development and plot intricacies, this one felt flat and unconvincing.
The characters were incredibly one-dimensional, lacking the depth and relatability that made the characters in my recent reads memorable. I found it hard to connect with them, as their motivations and choices often seemed contrived. This lack of authenticity made it difficult to invest in their journeys, which was frustrating after I had immersed myself in more dynamic narratives beforehand.
The pacing was another significant flaw; moments that could have been gripping instead dragged on unnecessarily, while pivotal plot developments were rushed or glossed over. This inconsistency disrupted the flow, and rather than feeling engaged, I found myself skimming through sections that felt tedious and repetitive. In contrast to the well-structured narratives of my previous reads, "The Witch's Destiny" missed the mark entirely.
The writing style added to my frustration, at times veering into convoluted and pretentious territory, making it challenging to follow the storyline. This was a stark contrast to the more accessible and engaging prose I had come to appreciate in my recent literary journey.
In summary, "The Witch's Destiny" had fleeting moments of potential, but ultimately it failed to provide a compelling experience. After reading so many enthralling stories, this book left me more bewildered than enchanted, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone seeking a captivating fantasy read.
This is the end of Elliott and Clara's story, and it was bitter sweet. They may have won the war in their world, but not without great loss. During the final battle, it was made clear that there are six other worlds that havoc could be caused on to bring about the end. With this news, Clara and Elliott promise to stop the Sanguine one on any world by any means, although they aren't quite sure how. Nikki is thought to be dead in a heroic sacrifice when, in reality, she was dropped into another world, that of the shifters. Not only did she end up in this new world, but she also had a body! Which is weird because the one on the vampire world turned to dust, so what could this mean? We didn't get to see more of Peter... all we know is that he plans to rise in the company to find a way back to Nikki. I am interested to see how and if these two will be reunited. Although questions are left about Nikki and Peter, this was a good ending to Clara's and Elliott's story that did not leave more questions about the two of them.
The Characters: Main Female Lead is Clara 🪄 Second Female Lead is Niki 🗡️ Main Male Lead is Elliot 👑 Second Male Lead is Peter 💻
What to Expect: Fantasy Politics 🧙♂️ Majestic Beasts 🐦🔥 Battles ⚔️ Magic 💜 Romance 🥰 No Spice 🚫🌶️
My Review: The climax of the story was dragged out so much and never gave one good final punch. In fact the winning factor cost my favorite character 😢. We do get to see the side characters find their romantic start with kisses and love triangles 😉. Ends in the main characters wedding 👰🏻♀️🤵🏻 💍. There are cute comedic breaks, some at the perfect time and other at awkward times. The last chapter has me kicking the air 😝! Anyways. Very happy with my purchase of the box set! I did have to skip through 3 out of the 10 but overall I loved this fantasy story.
Absolutely riveting thrill ride start to finish!! Emma Glass definitely knows how to write spell binding stories you will love!
Wow now that's the way to end one characters journey and open the door to another surely fabulous adventure with Nikki Craven! I devoured the Witch Between Worlds series and loved every minute of them. Vibrant well rounded characters, wild riveting plots with twists and turns galore! Adventures with characters who feel like old friends. Can not wait for the new series to begin!
The series over all was good .. I kept coming back for more (I listened to it on audible - so areas drag and to be honest I don’t think I would have finished half of them if I was reading them in leisure). The final book had more fluff than needed - but stories that involved main characters were solid. The last chapter did make me look for another book which I was disappointed to find none! -1 star for too much fluff a characters that drag -1 star for ending that left you saying “are you serious, that’s the end”!
For the love of all that's holy, hire an editor! The mistakes in this book drove me absolutely crazy and it was by sheer willpower alone that I finished it. Then, having finished it the inconsistencies...what about Peter? What about so many things you left freaking dangling! Yes I know there's a season 2 but hell, that introduces a new dude. Ugh. Good story, q bit repetitive and drawn out but damn. I'm frustrated now.
The series started off decent, and then fell off quickly about halfway through. Book 10 felt forced and unfinished with resolutions were far too quick and illogical. I hate that of all the characters, my favorite died, but did they really? I was left with more questions than conclusions and not in a way that would make me want another book. That is the worst part. I found myself listening to this book with the feeling of "Thank goodness this is the last one."
I believe it was in book 7 it started getting a little spicy for about a paragraph. In book 8 there was more spice. By book 9 there was quite a bit more spice. And finally on book 10. the spice was at a level that I could refer these books to some family that are teenagers. The spice didn’t get above a five as far as spice goes, but I also feel that it could’ve been left out and the story would’ve been just as good. I give the final story 4 1/2 stars.
I enjoyed going through the journey of this book series. Lorelei's death part was written beautifully! The paradox of Nikki's grief and strength was also my favorite. I could feel all that grief. A good book makes you put it aside sometimes to have a good cry. Thank you Emma Glass!
