It has been said that people have to hit "rock bottom" before they can move forward. That was the case for Benji Kelley. He lost everything, except his life, before he encountered God while incarcerated. God took Benji's wrecked life and redeemed it for his glory. This book is ideal for church leaders or individuals desiring to fulfill the Great Commission. Benji's personal experiences and insights, modeled by Jesus in the Gospel of John, will challenge and equip readers to share the gospel urgently to all of God's children. Read Benji's passionate story of brokenness and redemption, and be filled with hope!
Benji Kelley has written a book that will clearly shake up every Christian. We must realize how wonderful God’s Grace is every day. No matter what society says you’ve done, God can offer hope and redemption. We must recognize that The body of Christ is composed of people from all walks of life, all ethnicities, and from every nation. We need to become a church that brings people to Jesus. We need to welcome the homeless person as much as we invite the business professional. Christians need to realize that Jesus didn’t die for just me. He died for us all. Churches must include and welcome those who are different than us just as Jesus did.
Dr. Kelley’s bold testimony and call to truth is evident in his book. I encourage all Christians to read and reread this book!
Pastor Benji’s moving testimony and description of newhope church’s mission are truly inspirational and important in our current state of “relative truth” in society. I highly recommend this book to anyone struggling with faith or looking for ways to make Jesus the center of their churches and lives.
This book took a while for me to get through but it wasn’t a bad book. The first few chapters are beautiful and inspiring. There is a great word in them. Unfortunately towards the end it got a bit repetitive and seemed like a bit of an advertisement for his church plant which I can understand but wish there would have been more new content in the later half. Great opening discussing transformation and the book of John, just wish it was more focused on just that and not advertising the church.
