You happen to visit the Lucases, your cousins, the day of the Netherfield Ball. You have the opportunity to attend–the chance of a lifetime! Will you take it?
Be brave, fair Lady. Let your Jane Austen instincts guide you through this perilous journey. You have a 66% chance of survival.
My exposure to Choose Your Own Adventure books came through my son. This version is just delightful and diverting. You are a guest of the Lucases at the Netherfield ball and you mission is to survive the night... choose but choose wisely lest you have to begin again...
This is a create your own ending and I’ve never played this type of story before. What fun. Unfortunately, I died right in my first attempt. Dang. I was hoping that if I chose safe options that I would be… well, safe. Nope, this author was very nefarious and anticipated my choices. This is like walking through a minefield. You never know what you are going to step on. Not having played video games, I was not savvy in the ways of traversing the many levels of a game. The options were very creative and quite entertaining. Many of the options would make a great story that I would enjoy reading. I recommend this fun adventure. It is clean [unless you die] and you move through the play fairly quickly.
A short choose your own adventure story that is pure fun. There are six possible endings, two of which end in death. I survived! What would you do if you were a guest at the Netherfield ball? Try this short story and find out. It can be found at the author’s website: www.northangersoapworks.com
This was SO MUCH FUN to do! I went back and tried to get every possible outcome and had a blast. The writing is creative and the choices perfectly fit in with such a tale! If you love regency, and choose your own adventures, and balls you should already be on your way to participating!
What fun read! Glad I took the time to follow all the story options. Short but well written. Loved the story lines & how she used original P&P characters.
