What a wonderful book! Communication is so important, and this book presents common and frequently used words and phrases so that the child can use them on a regular basis. Most kids love to learn, and this book helps them so that they feel positive about the experience and want to continue learning Spanish. If you are like me where you have never been able to really learn a language then by going through this book with your child you can learn Spanish along side them, thereby making the whole experience so much more enjoyable! I love when kids can pick up a bit of language that is not their home language. Spanish is one of the best because it is so commonly spoken. I read this with some students from the younger grades (than mine) and they had a good time. Now they want me to tell them what other words are in Spanish. Love their enthusiasm and I've recommended that the school librarian consider these books for the kids in the younger grades.

This is a cute little book for young kids to learn basic Spanish. The words are easy and presented in a fun way. The phrases chosen are the most basic and common used in the elementary aged children. I believe this is a great book for beginning kids.

Great for the youngest

I found excellent this book for the youngest to learn some basic words of Spanish and English.
The whole is clear, it may be just a pity that the illustrations are not more varied.
It's really geared to the little ones, maybe up to about 8 years old, but beyond that, it's really too simple.

3 1/2 stars Good in theory but didn’t format properly on my kindle to read with full effects. Looks to be a good quick reference to learn some basic Spanish words.
