I am determined to write a review for every book I read this year so here we go!
My view of this book is probably different than most because I am friends with the woman who wrote it. It was fascinating seeing her view on things through her perspective and that or Serama. This isn't a typically romance or adventure. It is more of a glimpse behind the curtain of main events, following a character who only lightly skirts through main events. It is an interesting take and while this type of storytelling might not be for everyone I enjoyed it.
The conflict and friendship between Ene and Serama is also something a lot of readers will relate to. We have all have had some degree of 'friend' like Ene.
