House of Secrets

Shy and geeky Mark Atkins has been moving from house to house all of his life. His father buys, fixes, and then sells houses for a living. Mark has never stayed long enough in one home to build roots and make friends.

He hopes that he’ll finally be able to do that when his father buys an old, run down house on a beach. But once they move in, he finds out this house isn’t like any of the other houses he’s lived in. This house has scary secrets. Ones that involve ghosts and a paranormal world. Can he solve the mystery shrouding it before what is haunting the house finds him?

There is something in the woods that couldn’t care less about the prank Nick and his friends have set. It has plans of its own and that is to hunt and kill. When it sets its eyes on Nick and Lizzie, the bickering twins have to join forces to keep one step ahead of the mystical creature that can’t be stopped.

It's ok.. Spoiler!

That wendigo story is really stupid and contradicts itself. Main character is DEATHLY afraid his friends will be in mortal danger when the wendigo sees a costume and assumes it will automatically know its a costume, then when his friends are in trouble he suddenly knows it's the perfect way to save them and even insists that the wendigo will never even know it's a costume... That story should have even made it past ANY publisher.
