She’s the teacher at the local preschool, and has almost everything going for her. But when she meets Ava Carlson, Kade’s daughter, all of her past memories that she tried so hard to push down come rushing back. Even worse, Kade wants her back. this book doesn’t make sense. it feels like the author wrote this book in an hour, rushing through everything. I mean, was it a dead fiancé or dead wife? It was confusing.

My take? the hero was an opportunist, the heroine was weak and pushover. and the way too clever three years old? please... come on.

Not my cup of tea of second chance romance. I don't believe hero love heroine. She was his second best because if his fiance wasn't dead he wouldn't be with her.

I don't usually leave reviews, but this book... this book made me soooo angry, I just had to. First, let me say that I love second chance romance novels, and I really wanted to like this one. Sadly, the main characters annoyed me. A lot. I couldn't even finish the book, which is sad because the author's writing style isn't bad. The characterization, however, is dreadful. Even though she annoyed me, the character of Bri deserves so much more than Kade. His reasons for dumping her are laughable, at best. Actually, they might not be, but he can't say that he loved her when his actions showed otherwise. He annoyed me as a teenager, but even worse, he annoyed me as an adult as well. It just seems that no matter what, he mentally stayed in high school. Which brings me back to the reason why he dumped her. It is so silly, even for teenagers. And when the author tried to explain it further, I just had to roll my eyes. He was so insufferable. Bri was, unfortunately, a weak heroine, lacking self-respect. I just wanted to shake her and yell at her: "Love yourself!" The supposed romance between them just wasn't there, in my opinion. Everything felt really forced. Like I said, I couldn't even finish the book because almost everything about it annoyed me. I did get pretty far into it, and then I skipped to the last chapter to see if the author would surprise me and improve Bri's character (Kade's, unfortunately, couldn't be improved), but nope...

Cade Carlson's fiancee was dead in a car accident. He was left with a three year old daughter. He knew nothing about raising a child. So he returned to his home town so his mother could help him with this lively and curious three year old.

Bria hayworth was a pre -school teacher. She loved teaching the children. She was happy. Then she saw that Cade's three year old was going to be in her class. This brought u many old memories and hurts. You see, Bria and Cade used to be high school sweethearts.

Buy this book and see what Cade and Bria experienced as they worked together with his daughter. This is an excellent clean story. Very well written.

Second Chances

In true second chance romance this couple were once high school sweethearts. But he, in typical teen male fashion, got his head turned by another woman and he broke up with her right before prom. Now ten years later he is back in town, with his daughter. Will they get their second chance? Or will she kick him to the curb like he did her years ago?

My Review

There seems to be two separate stories going on through out this one book. A little editing would be helpful.
