Caramel Canvas, Donut 39 in the New York Times Bestselling Mystery Series by Jessica Beck! When Suzanne Hart returns to April Springs after being away, she learns that one of her good friends, artist Annabeth Kline, has died by accident in her studio, but as Suzanne looks deeper into the situation, it quickly becomes clear to her that Annabeth’s death was no accident! "Suzanne Hart has been away from April Springs for a while, recovering from the traumatic assault that concluded her last investigation. When she returns, she's just looking for a little peace and quiet as she gets back into the routine of running her donut shop. But when a friend dies in mysterious circumstances, she puts her detective hat back on as well. Surrounded by the people and places she loves, she sets out to get justice for her friend. Readers are assured of a sweet ending in more ways than one, as the donut recipes at the back of the book are as much a treat for the taste buds as the mystery is for the mind." Kim H., Proofreader, Red Adept Editing “Was artist Annabeth Kline's death really an accident? Suzanne Hart, donut-maker and amateur sleuth, believes her friend was murdered, so the investigation begins by following the clues in a coded message sent by the victim herself. The suspects, motives, and possible near-misses keep us guessing until the very end. Plus donut recipes!” Linda S., Proofreader, Red Adept Editing

Jessica Beck is a pseudonym used by
Tim Myers.
Jessica Beck is the penname of an author who has been nominated for the Agatha Award and named an Independent Mystery Booksellers Association national bestseller nearly a dozen times.

Jessica Beck loves donuts, and has the figure to prove it. It's amazing what people can convince themselves is all in the name of research! For each recipe featured in the donut mysteries, a dozen more are tried and tested.

When not concocting delicious treats, Beck enjoys the rare snowfalls near her home in the foothills of North Carolina.

After reading the first 39 books in this series during the past 4 months I have encountered an impasse.
Due to staggering medical bills I borrow books from libraries instead of purchasing them. I am a member of four different libraries that usually are able to provide the books in series that I read. Alas! I am now unable to continue to the finish line with this fun, enjoyable, relaxing series.

A special thank you to those readers that took time to peruse my reviews- many from the Scottsdale Public Library. Even those that only left a like encouraged me to continue with my reviews. I tried to omit as many spoilers as possible and sometimes only related how the stories meant something in my life.

I now sadly must leave April Springs and the tasty Donut Hearts shop.

If you know of a library that has digital copies of volumes #40-58 of this series and allows out of state members please contact me.

Loved it.

Another great story that kept me wondering who do it. The family community is very encouraging and up building. I can hardly wait for her next book.

Different from the others, even more complex and less donuts.
