Trent is spending the summer with his grandma and he gets to learn how to take care of a horse named Elvis. He is excited to ride in a horse show. He wants to prove he is a good horseman and knows what to do, but first, he must learn a lesson in patience.
When I was a child my mother said I had such a habit of creating imaginative untruths, that I should be a writer when I grew up. Not wishing to disappoint my wise mother, I decided to take her advice!
After raising our children and having a go at several interesting careers, I decided I finally had time to write. I enrolled in several writing courses and found a little site called BookRix. I spread my writing wings there. Two years later Windswept Hearts, a romance based on the contemporary west, was written, edited and published.
I have always loved books, reading all the classics as a child. Then I discovered fantasy, sci fi, mysteries and finally romances. In this day and age of the Internet I've found it easier than ever to get my 'fix' on reading material.
I live in Wyoming now, and write about the life and characters I've met through the years. You can find a sampling of some of my work for free at http://www.bookrix.com/-rgabel.
Currently I have a blog on Wordpress called 'Common Sense' where I cover a variety of daily happenings that could use a dose of common sense.
I invite you to join me in my writing journey, where you can determine whether or not my mother was correct about my story telling abilities!
