Let’s get that money

Six-Figure Pet Sitting is a quick read but includes a lot of excellent advice and action steps to start or grow a pet-sitting business. I already run a pet-sitting and dog-walking business but am on the prowl for new ideas to become less side hustle money and more financially solvent money. Kristin Morrison’s advice seems great, and I am already working on implementing it in my day-to-day operations and marketing schemes. My one hang-up that is more of a side note is that she puts a lot of emphasis on having a nice website, but when you go to hers, sfpsa.com, it is clearly still the one she had built in the early 2000s and NEVER updated. I feel like her website is the opposite of her book’s advice.

Excellent book for owners of new or existing pet sitting businesses. The author looks at all aspects of a pet sitting or dog walking business and offers solid, common sense advice on how to make more money, run your business more efficiently, as well as working with clients and employees/contractors. Most of us who run a pet sitting service are very passionate about taking care of pets but often we are lacking when it comes to actually running the business. This book offers lots of help and you will probably find yourself picking it up over and over to help you stay on track and keep expanding your business. Definitely a keeper!
