Loosely inspired by the similarly titled Penny Marshall-Tom Hanks movie, Bigly exposes the real causes behind the ascent of Donald Trump from a relatively harmless buffoon to Presidential fiasco.
Amid the rubble of the recently fallen Soviet Empire, Vladimir Putin vows to make Russia great again. Adhering to a unique strategy that Putin believes will help Mother Russia rise once more, he sets his sights on his country’s sworn enemy. With the aid of a machine known as “Zoltariskov” plus a surprising secret agent, Putin establishes the useful idiot Trump as U.S. President. Naturally, chaos ensues. But when an obstacle no one could have anticipated—the Constitution—impedes Trump, he makes a decision that leaves an indelible mark on the planet...or at least a nearby celestial body.

Is he the love child of J. K. Rowling and Stephen King? Or is it a pseudonym for the Watson supercomputer? Or perhaps he's an attention-starved, thin-skinned alcoholic (but aren't all authors?)? Find out by e-mailing seth.levens@gmail.com!
Meh? I dunno. This had a lot of potential to be really funny, but I really did not care for the art at all, and some of the jokes fell a bit flat for me.
On the other hand, I did chuckle a couple of times, and I love that all profits benefit Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
So, down the middle for me. 2.5 stars rounded up to 3.
Thank you to NetGalley and BookBuzz for providing me with a DRC of this book.
I felt like this missed the mark. It had the potential to be really funny, but most of the jokes fell flat for me. But any chance to make fun of our buffoon of a president and I'm all in.
Received a review copy from Bookbuzz and NetGalley. All thoughts are my own and in no way influenced by the aforementioned.
This is a funny way to look at how and why Trump became president of the U.S. Is Russia behind it so they can get control? Would they be able to do it? A funny tale
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book did not live up to my expectations. It wasn't particularly well drawn or even very funny. There is plenty to critique and satirise Donald Trump about, but the story here was bizarre and didn't feel very relevant.
While the comic was funny for the times, it felt as though it was missing something. The illustrations could have been better and the humor aspect were 50/50 shot.
