Will their relationship survive? Or will it end before it really began?
I’ve been waiting for this book. Undone, the third and final book in Ann Montgomery’s Unhinged series. The story continues with Caleb and Alex. Their love began back when he was her professor, and she the student. Forbidden love and all the risks that come with it. Life is not easy for them though because Caleb is no ordinary man. He’s an Earl and with family traditions instilled over the years, his family has expectations of him. He’d been married, but his wife had perished in a house fire. It left him a broken man for a while. Unable to truly feel or care, until Alex. Now, in Undone, with Caleb and Alex so close to finally sealing their love for one another by marrying, something happens that destroys their happiness. Something they never saw coming. Caleb is thrown into confusion. Feeling obligated due to his position and expectations of his family. Alex, heartbroken and unable to stay around, goes off to the place where they were supposed to spend their honeymoon, so she can think and wallow in the pain of losing the man she adores and who completes her. I had a feeling about the person who turned up and destroyed Alex and Caleb’s marriage before they even got to say “I do” and I was anxiously waiting to see if I was proved right. Which I was. This book catches up with the characters from previous books, and like the first two, it has enough mystery and intrigue to keep you on the edge of your seat. Through it all, I held my breath, hoping that Caleb and Alex would finally get their happily ever after. Thoroughly enjoyed this book and the series.
