Ugh! This story started out so well with book one. Book two felt like filler material and this book, although it wrapped things up neatly, just felt like it was about sex with other bits thrown it. Somewhat disappointed that Luc was ‘soft’ and didn’t exhibit what I would consider traits of a mobster. Granted, his wants changed in book two, but his brother Claudius seemed to be the real badass in this story.

This book was so hard to get through and by far my least favorite of the trilogy. There were so many mistakes throughout the whole book that I could never get a good reading flow. I liked the first book in the series, but things went downhill from there.

Also, what happened to the strong woman from the first book? She just magically became a soft, damsel in distress as soon as she returned to Chicago?

So the conclusion of the trilogy....

I honestly couldn't give it more than 2.5 stars.

This is mainly because I was left with just a "huh" and "meh" feeling at the end. Yes, all lose ends seemed to be tied off but again that same feeling of something missing was abundant but it had morphed into a "was that it?" Feeling of disappointment.

Kind of like when Stewie ate the artichoke in Family Guy (S14E08) and retorts "Good Lord! I ate nothing and I'm soaking wet for some reason..."
That's how I felt left here...i read he trilogy but I felt like my time could have been better spent elsewhere with books that would have left a better expression on me..

I'm really sorry to Ms Gray. I wish I liked it! I know reviews are important to you. I'll be trying or her books of yours as I don't think this is the constant throughout them!

To potential readers...i know my review isn't sparkling but as you can probably see tgere are mixed reviews on thus! As always only you can say if you will like the book or not!!

I actually read this weeks ago but can't find that I reviewed it! This was book 3 and the end to the trilogy of the Accidental Mafia Queen. I thought this was a great little series overall - 3 quick reads and a nice little soft mafia world thriller. I thought the narrators were so good and credit them to my extra enjoyment of the whole thing

Awesome conclusion to this wonderful mafia romance series!

Just a note: This is book three in this series, be sure to read Mafia Boss and Mafia Scars before reading this book.

After all the crap that Luc and Amelia have been through this book has even more in store for them. They still have to worry about Victor and the games he has in store for them. This is an excellent series and I highly recommend it!

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date February 16, 2019

Luc
The hour of reckoning was upon us…
Amelia’s life was in danger.
Amelia, my goddess.
The time to watch the situation had long passed.
Now, it was time to change things up.
Time for me to change.
Love made me go soft and allow the image and handle I had on things to slip out of my grasp.
I needed to find myself. Now more than ever.
All the secrets were jumping straight out of the closet. Right into the open for all to see.
We weren’t playing games anymore.
It was time for war. It was time to become the devil I was.

Amelia
No more games, no more lies.
No more running from the past.
No more running from who I used to be.
I knew I would lose my soul when I fell for Luc.
I was a cop, and he was a mobster. Love lured me to the dark side.
We could pretend to be whoever we wanted to be, but truth was truth.
The games were over and right now I couldn’t see past the darkness that waited for me.

REVIEW: MAFIA LOVE is the third and final instalment in Khardine Gray’s contemporary, adult THE ACCODENTAL MAFIA QUEEN mafia, erotic romance trilogy focusing on twenty-eight year old, LAPD Detective Amelia ‘Taylor’ Rossi, and thirty-five year old, Rossi Family mobster Lucian Morientz. MAFIA LOVE should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events and cliff hanger of book two MAFIA SCARS.

SOME BACKGROUND: Approximately eleven years earlier Amelia Rossi ran from Chicago after discovering the truth about her father Don Raphael Rossi. A dedicated police detective with the LAPD, Amelia will face her future in the guise of Lucian Morientz, the new heir to her father’s crime family, and the man sent to bring the prodigal daughter, back home.

NOTE: MAFIA LOVE contains scenes of graphic and implied violence that may not be suitable for more sensitive readers.

Told from three first person points of view (Raphael, Luc, Amelia) MAFIA LOVE follows Luc and Amelia as they find themselves in Chicago in an attempt to take down the people bent on revenge. Years earlier Don Raphael Rossi destroyed the life of a man he once trusted; a friend he once loved, and now his daughter is paying for sins of the past. With both Luc and Amelia targeted by a sick and psychotic mind, one-time co-workers, family and dedicated friends make it their mission to protect the people they love. What ensues is an action-packed, free for all between the baddest of the bad, a free for all where not everyone will survive.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters. Khardine Gray has plans for a new spin-off series GANGSTERS AND DOLLS focusing on Lucian’s brother Claudius, and his men, The Four, as well as a story featuring Brad Sinclaire, Amelia’s former LAPD partner. I am hoping for a more detailed account of Gigi (Amelia’s BFF) and Maurice’s romance.

MAFIA LOVE is a story of family, hatred, vengeance and betrayal. The requisite evil is unhinged and insane; the violence and brutality is psychotic and deranged. Don Raphael Rossi will hand over leadership of the Rossi Crime Syndicate; Lucian’s right hand man will find love; and it becomes difficult to separate the good from the bad. The fast paced premise is intriguing and entertaining; the characters are numerous, aggressive and powerful; the romance is spicy and moving. If you love mafia-style romance then give THE ACCIDENTAL MAFIA QUEEN a try-the building story line become more intriguing and entertaining with each successive instalment.

Man oh man what a conclusion to Luc and Amelia’s story that had my heart pounding and racing as the two try to stay one step ahead of a psycho. The race is on to see who will come out on top and who will survive the final showdown between all the players. Amelia accepts she is a Rossi and now knows all that happened years ago, all the secrets are out and Luc is standing by Amelia, not letting go with everything they are facing head on.
What an ending that did not disappoint, traitors are revealed, memories from the past come to light, the love that Luc and Amelia never dies or dims between them, nor does the steamy sensual scenes and at times heartbreaking scenes between them, as Luc tries to hold onto his sanity and Amelia shows her strength. There are plenty of twists and turns with an ending I did not see coming, with players that surprised me and loved every page of it.
There’s steam, action, suspense, danger, gore, blood, twists and turns, betrayals, surprises, true friendships, tears, heartbreak, heartache, death, sacrifices, love and family....it’s all there and a finale not to be missed in this amazing series from book 1 to 3. A page turner right from the beginning, with amazing characters, amazing story line that flowed beautifully throughout it all. What I LOVED LOVED LOVED the most was Luc and Amelia, how they stood by each other, not letting anything come between them, fighting for each other and never once wanting to let go of what they have together....a true true true romance in my eyes.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Mafia series...can’t wait for more from this cast of amazing characters. 10 ++++++ stars

AN ENTICING and entertaining Mafia Romance! STEAMY and PHENOMENALLY well-written MUST-BUY!
“MAFIA LOVE” by Khardine Gray is the outstanding second installment of her ACCIDENTAL MAFIA QUEEN Trilogy. A romance that readers SHOULD NOT MISS! The characters readers met in “MAFIA BOSS” and “MAFIA SCARS” continue and are just as incredible, realistic and richly developed. I love it when I hate to leave treasured book-friends at a novel’s end, but I love it when they remain true to memory in the next installment! Even better, this third part to Gray’s ACCIDENTAL MAFIA QUEEN story came quickly enough that I remembered the cast of characters completely. While the blurb does a fabulous job of describing some of the plot, it does not convey the richness of author Gray’s descriptive prose. The story author Gray weaves within the pages of “MAFIA LOVE” not only captivated my imagination but had me feeling even more emotionally bereft as the novel ended. I became so deeply invested in the characters and in the storyline, that when it ended, even with a stellar happy ending, it still meant the loss of some wonderful book friends! As I read, know that I laughed, cried, jumped for joy and deeply felt all of the characters’ emotions as if they were my own. Not as eloquent as this author, I am finding it difficult to find the words that could possibly pay homage to this work of art. So, I will STRONGLY suggest that anyone who likes to read romance and is looking for a great read, “MAFIA LOVE” is the MUST-BUY for you! Doesn’t matter if you like bad boys or the Mafia trope, Khardine Gray’s “MAFIA LOVE” is the novel to buy. I voluntarily read a copy of “MAFIA LOVE” and this is my honest and voluntary 5+STAR review. Get your copy of “MAFIA LOVE” today! Happy pages! 😉

Typos again😑
So many things I found ridiculous in this one. Here are my thoughts as I read this one:

Why would they kill Jefferson and Holloway? Makes no sense that they wouldn’t keep one guy alive to get information from. I get that Amelia’s father shot to protect his daughter but after, wouldn’t Luc have been able to subdue the other one? But whatever.

Amelia claims she has never told anyone she loves them except her parents. I call bullshit. Her last boyfriend, Jordon, who she still says she loved. Gigi? Max?

Luc, the Italian mobster boss has a cliche kanji character on his elbow. Really!?

A squirrel- wtf? Go to the store, have groceries delivered. How would a squirrel be more nutritious than just buying protein at the store!?

Seriously she trusted Sinclaire “wholeheartedly,” even more than Max and Gigi?!? wtf! This was not in the first book. Why is the author trying to create nonexistent drama?

Luc is begging Victor - it’s pathetic. And only makes Victor stronger. And how do they not have some type of tracker on Amelia by this point!?

“Seventh” sense? What is his sixth sense?

Yeah, Millicent loving Amelia and saving her makes no sense. If you did, why not tell them in the first place? Not like Tag had her husband.

🙄yah right. I guess the miraculous last strength kicked in for Raphael.

Prison, really!? And pregnancy test took that long. And the baby is conveniently going to wait until after Luc gets out.

I wish it had been better.

My feelings:

I grabbed book 1 on stuff your kindle day and loved it so much I grabbed the next 2 to finish the series off.

“Don’t you dare cry. I don’t know what the hell to do with a crying woman, and you don’t look like the crying-type princess. I was assured there would be no tears.”

Omg I cried so hard when Amelia dad saved her! Seriously its like he was waiting for a moment to makes it all up to her in the end.

“I dream, always of being with you Lucian. I need you.” She pulled in a labored breath. “We need you,” she added. Her voice was on the edge of a breath.

As for the traitor, I knew it was the lady from the second we found out there was a rat. It was very easy to work it out. But I did like the trip to find it out anyway.

“And I will be there. I will be there for you both, Amelia Rossi, because you are mine.”

Luc is sooooooooo my type of man! What a dam hottie! I need a story for his brother now!

“I did. I promise you this will never happen to us again. I swear it.”

Highly Recommend.

Crazy Amazing Series! This is book 3 and concludes the series in a wonderful end as any recent series I have read. Wow!! Where to begin...Amelia and Luc have a love that can not be touched by others and only seems to grow stronger as they become more involved in those out to hurt them. Luc falls in love for the first time and does what is necessary to keep Amelia safe and opens her up to wanting to dance again. I understand the love her father has for her and how he has always been there for her even up to the very end! Each Amelia, a cop and Luc, a mobster never expect the other to change and stand by one another. I loved seeing Ameila’s co-workers/friends make an appearance in this story and do right by both Amelia and Luc! All the supporting characters help create a wonderful storyline and the villains are definitely some of the worst criminals to cause mayhem. This series will give you mafia stories with criminals of the worst kind, family, police, mobsters, friends, betrayal, love, kidnapping and some hot scenes. I am looking forward to reading the next set of stories from this series!! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

ONE THRILLING ADVENTURE!!!
Wow! Khardine never ceases to amaze me. This is one exciting, action packed, fast paced, heart pounding, pulse racing, hard hitting, page turning dynamo that captivates from start to finish. Your heart is in deep once you pick up this bad boy. All the ups and downs, ins and outs, a few glitches and grinds make for an unpredictable experience. Talk about some crazy events but this one really got to me. Khardine totally nailed this bad boy with such realism it rocked my world. Her characters and scenes are so realistic and believable. She writes with such passion that's weaved into every page throughout the entirety. All the drama and suspense keeps you focused on the pages and frozen to your seat waiting for the next shoe to drop. Drop it did. She uses such graphically detailed descriptions it really pulls this little treasure together beautifully. Khardine did a remarkable job bringing this read to life. Fantastic job Khardine, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.

Edge of your seat nail biter from beginning to end

Mafia Love by Khardine Gray is yet another exceptionally well written book by this author. I can’t really pinpoint just a few things to like about it because I absolutely loved it!
These characters, Luc and Amelia, go through so much strife. I love how they persevered and never lose their loving hold of one another.
As with the previous two books, it’s written with urgency, tons of suspense and a diabolical plot. It seemed like their path should even out, yet this author wasn’t afraid to throw more obstacles and danger their way. An exciting story that I didn’t want to stop reading until it was done!
My absolute favorite part is the wonderful epilogue that details not only Luc and Amelia’s HEA, but other important characters to this book and series. So despite a little sadness that the series for Luc and Amelia has ended, the ending was indeed very happy and satisfying.
I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.

Full of action

Book #3 was the best one of the series. It was full of action and tense scenery. We find out who the moles were in the L.A. Police department. I did not figure that one out though. We also find out who the inside rat was in the Rossi household. I figured that one out. Both Luc and Amelia are dealing with their past lives in addition to keeping Amelia safe. I was hoping the Victor would leave Gigi alone but that did not pan out. Lucien would do anything for Amelia, his goddess, his doll, including going straight and leaving the mafia life behind. I was surprised to see that Sinclair was willing to help the couple out when Victor played his last card. At least in the end, Amelia was able to spend some makeup time with her father Raphael, who sacrificed everything for his mia amore, his little girl. Even Claudius seemed to want to change his ways too. At lease Gigi and Maurice got to have their HEA as well as Amelia and Luc. Amelia got to leave Amelia Taylor behind and become who she was always meant to be Amelia Rossi, the dancer.

Light of Heaven! Give me a minute. Maybe give me a bunch of them. It’s going to take me a while to recover from the story hangover this book left me with. I loved this! And I’m still recovering from it. If you’ve been following their story in the two previous books, you already know what Amelia and Luc are facing. Well, this book takes the drama and chaos up several more notches. I’m still in shock over everything these two go through in this book. And let me tell you, I was in tears before this story was over. I simply don’t know what else to say that doesn’t give it all away. I am so very grateful to know that there are still more stories coming from this world in the future. I’m not ready to let these characters go just yet.

This book is the third and last in the series and it does not disappoint. Without saying too much and giving away the plot, there is a series of heart-pounding, thrilling chapters when Amelia and her friend Gigi are up against the 'bad guys', and her lover Luc and his men, along with Amelia's father Raphael, arrive on the scene. You will not be able to put the book down - the action is riveting, and at times quite emotional. I like the fact that not everything in Luc and Amelia's lives goes to plan - a lot goes wrong, and they pay the consequences. But with the love and support of their friends and colleagues, they make progress and sometimes turn the odds to their favour. This is a well written and edited series - Khardine Gray does it again!

Luc & Amelia
This one really drags and I ended up skipping huge chunks just to keep the story moving. The flashbacks weren’t really structured well, quite erratic in their appearance. They certainly could have been more brief.
Have to say, the whole cannibal thing is not something I really expect or want in this genre, that stuff has a platform of its own I think. The themes around Victor are very graphic and somewhat inappropriate for this read IMO.

However, the sx is still off the charts and Luc is still absolute Alpha-perfection. Amelia still rocks and she takes charge of the family business perfectly in this 3rd instalment. Once I finally got there, the ending was super-sweet and a real treat for their love to blossom more in Italy.
A really enjoyable series with great characters 👌🏼🥰❤️💥💋

I was worried this story would never end. After the numerous debacles it was frustrating.
How did the don who "owned" Chicago not know what was going on in his own town or house for that matter. It was so obvious that Millicent was the rat. She was the only one who was there for all of the events, even the death of Raphael's wife. It was obvious to me that Jefferson was the rat on the police force. I wasn't sure about Holcombe but it makes sense since no backup showed up when they were set up.
I constant "guilt" over others actions got old. Amelia actually said that Jefferson and Holcombe were dead because of her...huh? That is so self serving and stupid.
How does the head of the largest crime family in Chicago not have armed guards at the front gate their estate? People just showed up and wondered around the house TWICE...how? Even Luc had a gate at his mansion.
I did appreciate how Claudis took out Victor. Bullets for victims - I concur!

This is the last installment to this series and doesn't disappoint.

Amelia's father ends up protecting her at his own cost. After all the conflicts in the first two books its now time to fgure out what they will do next. Also is the danger over enough for them to revist Chicago and see her father. Luc wants to make sure Amelia is save and worries that her love has changed him to much to be able to do that. Can they get the happily ever after that they want? Is all the bad guys taken down?

This is a great story the will have you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

If you thought the first two books had drama, this one cranks everything up to war mode.

Luc is done playing nice. Love made him let his guard down, but now that Amelia’s life is on the line, the ruthless mafia boss in him is fully unleashed. He’s ready to burn down anything—and anyone—who threatens his goddess. Meanwhile, Amelia has finally stopped running. She’s no longer just a cop trying to escape her past; she’s a woman caught between the love that changed her and the darkness that might destroy her.

Secrets? Exposed. Lines? Crossed. Blood? Definitely spilled. This book is all about love, loyalty, and the cost of choosing a life you never thought you’d want. Luc and Amelia’s chemistry is still fire, but this time, the stakes are everything.

Another fabulous addition to this series. Amelia finds out who the moles were in LA and unfortunately she thought they were her friends. Money can make people do many things and turning on your friend/coworker is one of them. Can they take down the people who are trying to kidnap and kill her for the diamonds? Her father is very ill, how much longer will he last and can he help put these beasts to bed?? So much going on within this book and it is so good. The book is well written and you get a bit more characters within this one and I look forward to reading more about them in books to come. Enjoy.

**Read series in order** Its a race against the clock as their enemies close in around them. Will Amelia and Luc make it out okay and get their Happy Ever After?

Have to say that this series had everything that I look for in a Mafia Romance. It included blood, enemies, and love between the characters. I loved how Luc was determined to do whatever it took to protect Amelia. I loved how Amelia was determined to protect those around her and how strong she was when some people would have broken down. Great read and cannot wait for the next series that includes these characters!

“Mafia Love” is the fantastic conclusion to a most outstanding trilogy. What a roller-coaster ride of non-stop action, suspense, heart-break, death, betrayal, revenge, scorching hot chemistry and sizzling romance in this addictive page-turner! The obstacles that Luc and Amelia must overcome on the road to true love will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. I definitely recommend this riveting Mafia romance and can't wait to read more from Khardine Gray.

*Sigh* Author Khardine Gray brings Luc and Amelia's love story to a stunning conclusion, with the third book in The Accidental Mafia Queen trilogy, "Mafia Love." It is a mafia romance, with the most seemingly, unlikely couple; Luc is a mobster and Amelia is a cop. Lots of twists, surprises, and menacing figures throughout this trilogy, and Gray wraps it up, in a very satisfying finale. Thrills, excitement, danger, betrayal, suspense, sexiness, and romance. An amazing read! Looking forward to more by Khardine Gray. I received this book as an ARC and I volunteered this review.

This is a new author to me and I read this series on Kindle Unlimited. I would give the whole series 3.5.

Whilst I enjoyed the story and the love between the couple, I would have loved to see Amelia taken on her role as the so called "Mafia Queen". She did not act like a Mafia Queen not even a reluctant one. There was not enough action for a mafia story. It was romantic but I do not think the content was strong enough to be spread over 3 books. Just my personal opinion. I hated Sinclair and his role in Amelia life. Worth a read.

Wow!!💙💙💙

Khardine Gray has done it again!!!! Luc & Amelia have now traveled to Chicago which is home to them both. Although Amelia has been gone for ten plus years, she returns with Claudius, Luc's brother for her safety and to see her father who is dying. You must read the series in order to get the whole experience. I will not give too much away but suffice to say, this story has many twists and turns.
Couldn''t stop reading until I finished... Must Read!!!!
