I have read books 1&4 of this series previously. This is just as good. The target audience for this is those children who are just advancing on to longer chapter books and this will suit that category of reader.

The plot has some nice touches and goes into the main character's emotions which can be rare in books aimed at this age group. It has minor peril but isn't scary. The series is a new take on good versus evil and I will try to read the books I haven't in the series eventually.

Part 2 in the series about Zoe and her magical unicorn friend Astra. We find out more in this, about the bad guy Nightwing and a bit about his plans. And that Astra gets more magic when together with Zoe. It's still pretty basic little kid fantasy. Not the best, not the worst. And kid got even more obsessed, I think.

"I like how the unicorns beat the bad guys. My favorite character is Zoe because I think she's nice and she helps the good unicorns. I want to read the next book!"

These books are amazing! I love them as an adult and also feel that if I'd had them as kid I would have read and reread them. The illustrations are perfect too.

My daughter and I love reading Zanna Davidson's Fairy Unicorns series!
The stories are action-packed with a great formula for young girls: unicorns and magic, a secret world that a little girl can enter, an evil pony to overcome. There are positive, useful themes, revolving around making friends and being brave and being true to yourself to overcome negative forces.
The illustrations are beautiful and the book format is gorgeous: hardcover with a ribbon bookmark. I taught my daughter how to open the book using the ribbon bookmark and she was delighted to learn this trick.
Great quality reading for six-year-olds. We are reading the Fairy Ponies series next!

The series is good so far for a younger audience. The plot twists in this were pretty predictable but it didn't make the story less enjoyable for my daughter. BUT....are we just going to pretend that Holly wasn't a part of the first book and that that story was never explained or followed up on? I don't understand. My daughter and I were both a little confused by that at the end. We feel that that story needs to go somewhere and just forgetting about it is frustrating.

I Love this series. Can't wait to read the others. I bought the 1st book as a trial read aloud for my 1st grader. She and my 4 year old loved it! In addition, it was so much fun to read aloud! Suspenseful with a touch of magic. Can't get better then that for a 6 year old girl! I found myself reading the book after my kids went to bed just so I could see what happened!

My daughter really enjoyed this book. It has a very original story line. It wasn’t easy to predict, as many children’s books are. The wording can be a bit challenging for my almost 7-yo, but the book is very well-written. My daughter loves this series.

Ungen syntes den var ok, men den var forglemmelig og blotta for noe som helst av dybde. Greit egnet for høytlesning.

That was a good book, and I loved it very much. And there was a cute little bunny at the end.

I would recommend this book to people who love fairies & unicorns.
In this book there is another adventure I think this book is better then the last!
It all starts at the midsummer festival... That's all I can tell you otherwise I'll spoil the surprise!

I read the first one to my daughter and she enjoyed it. I do look forward to getting back to this series with her. It continues on from the first book with a new adventure. This time the clouds are missing and Unicorn Island is much hotter than it should be.  While the older unicorns are off doing what they can, Zoe and Astra working together saves them. It is a fun magical story, about believing in yourself and not always relying on magic. (Though having magic does come in hand!)
