A fun hyper self aware about tabling at comics conventions. Silly journal comics dashed off by Mai when the events happened are presented really lovingly. It’s a cool autobio artifact of the late 2010’s. It’s beautiful trash.

My only complaint is that the embarrassing part in this book is not that embarrassing. The section that deals with this is done in a fun, over the top stylized way that overrides this. This is even addressed in the last section, so not a big deal.

Mai has top notch humor, sequencing and drawing chops that are all on full display here. This makes for a yummy little morsel of tongue in cheek + sincere con-focused autobio comics.

This book is a gift, especially if you work in comic publishing. Is that a specific niche? Yes. Yes it is. But the book is f*ing hilarious regardless.I guess you might not like it if you don’t think funny things are very funny... but I wept with laughter at the “is this bio terrorism?!” bit in a Swedish bathroom.

Fun brief autobio. Two-thirds messy hourly comic day lookin' stuff [complimentary], really funny with shaky panel outlines and handwritten overflowing text. Last bit is a longform story, still autobio, but with more polished manga art and ever-so-slightly more thematic weight. Still funny though! Good stuff.

The drawings are a little too rough to be understood, it was hard telling characters apart. Usually, diary comics are one of my favorite genres, but the humor just didn't do it for me here. Don't think I'll be purchasing PEOW 2

A fun collection of comics about tabling at cons. The last one is hilarious and my favorite. It's the perfect balance of cringe and relatable.
