It begins with a writer seeking information from a retired contractor living in his Panamanian off-the-grid home about an undercover US agent involved with many deadly secret missions of questionable character. However, all is not as it seems, as it appears the current US administration is seeking to clean up loose ends with a kill list to keep a top secret history from coming out. For our retired agent, being set up on an assassination list that includes several past friends is not a cool way to be thanked by his country for his service, so it is now his mission to strike first and clean out a corrupt mission within the US and European governments. For readers looking for a well-written spy action suspense thriller, this novel fills the bill. Our hero and his comrades are not perfectly honorable characters, but they do fill a suspense reader’s expectations in going against a hidden villainous operation. In the current political world, some of our protagonist’s political rants may not line up with many readers’ views, but the suspense action thrills are still solid.

Great read

This is a great read. Brings into light just how corrupt governments can be. The author's writing makes you able to visualize what is happening. Very realistic with the happenings of political happenings around us now and the past. Can't wait to read the next two books in this series.
