The "New York Times" called her a "master of horror," and her harrowing, best-selling stories are chilling proof. First time together in a collection sure to shock, three national bestsellers: Weep No More My Lady, A Cry in the Night, and Stillwatch. Even the price is thrilling

Stillwatch and A Cry in the Night are my favorite MHC books so far. Stillwatch made me cross my fingers for a happy ending, but A Cry in the Night was so creepy that I had to finish before going to sleep!!
Three of her best! The characters are believable, the settings are well defined and the plots kept me turning the page. Reading these for the second time did not diminish the thrill.
I enjoyed the first 2 stories but the 3rd was a bit dark for me. All had great who done it & kept me guessing until the end when all the pieces came together.
I actually only read A Cry in the Night from this 3-novel book, but will get to the other two eventually. That said, I really enjoyed this entry from the mistress of suspense, she has the dark foreshadowing down pat! While you will want to yell often to the heroine"Knock knock puddin' head! Wake up and smell the coffee!", it's all part of the devious plan. Just sit back and let it happen, the twists are worth the wait.
