This book, The Shocking Adventures of Lightning Lucy written by Jeremy Strong is the one of my favorite stories which I had read ever. The main character of this story, Lucy, has the special power since she was struck by lightning when she was lying on the pram as baby. She can fly, make things floating and when she gets angry she can also burning around her things. Lucy is filly girl, but she is kind and she quite often helps somebody with using her special powers. For example, Lucy is playing piano but she feels bored, so she looks at outside. Then her brother, Nicholas, is walking the street but at the same time, the big lorry comes and Lucy sudden fries to help Nicholas from the lorry runs over him. Furthermore, she gets profit by helping people. When she goes to market, the cows are rampage the street because of the huge sound of thunder. Lucy leads the violent cows to their home from the streets, and finally she got the ticket of vacation for one month because she rescues the ticket shop by destruction by fierce cows. Thus, I learned the system of give and take after reading this story. It means to supply helping, they might give back the obligation. In this case, Lucy is the young girl but she can help and get benefit such as vacation’s ticket. As people can understand along reading, there have many tales of that Lucy helps people with her unique power and these stories make their feeling tender. It might raise the kind mind inside readers. Moreover, this book has many kinds of jokes. My favorite part is the conversation with her friend Paula. Paula’s uncle works at one of the bakeries and his job is putting the jam into the doughnuts. However, Lucy thinks that her uncle does not work very well because when she eats that doughnut, there is no jam. She thinks his uncle get jam all over his trousers and the floor because of his missing. In this story, they have many jokes kind of this, so people would read with enjoying and it makes people encourage reading. Therefore, I really recommend this book, Jeremy Strong’s The Shocking Adventures of Lightning Lucy, if people want reading with exciting.
