The Nightmare Before Christmas: Zero's Journey Book Two is a fun continuation of the first installment where Zero finds himself stranded in Christmas Town.

The art in this comic is very reminiscent of the movie which is a choice I'm glad the illustrators made. I love the movie, so I was happy the art was similar as it makes the comic feel almost like a continuation of the movie. As the entirety of this volume is in Christmas Town, it's quite colorful and expands quite a bit on the small part of Christmas Town we got to see in the movie. The new elements seamlessly blend in with the old and the creators made great choices on what to expand upon.

This volume centers on Lock, Shock, and Barrel journeying to Christmas Town in search of Zero and the chaos that follows in their wake. The citizens of Christmas Town really don't know what to make of Halloween Town's residents. While Lock, Shock, and Barrel are chased about by Christmas Town residents, Zero finds himself dealing with an elf who hates Christmas due to a tragedy that happened on that day. Dialog is limited as Zero can only bark, so most conversations are one-sided with only barks in return. The story does end on a cliffhanger, so I'm interested to see what the next volume holds.

I really enjoyed The Nightmare Before Christmas: Zero's Journey Book Two and will definitely be continuing on. I highly recommend this comic for fans of the movie.

Cute graphic novel about what happens to Jack Skellington's dog Zero when he gets lots in Christmastown. The parts with Zero were adorable, and I loved them. However, there were also a lot of parts featuring Lock, Shock, and Barrel (probably my least favorite Nightmare Before Christmas characters) so I didn't like this volume as a whole nearly as much as I could have.

Total book of fan faction to say the least. I mean tho I’m 100 percent okay with that fact like other people have said in their reviews. I love the nightmare before Xmas so when I saw these I had to read them even tho I knew they would probably be terrible. If you go in knowing it probably won’t be good it helps because if your expecting something all that grand from these then think again and don’t read them. If your thinking fan fiction and not all that good fan fiction then jump right in and enjoy. 😂

I mean the rhymes. The story line. Haha. It made me laugh and I think that was basically the whole intent. I mean it was cute but it wasn’t all that good.

I would read it again for free but I would never pay for it. The 1st one you can’t find anywhere other than to buy and it’s 15.95 for a book that takes maybe 10 minutes to read. No way! There are few and far between actual lines on the pages. I did like the graphics. I do think they were done very well but would have loved to have more content. (I mean I get it. How much can you possible have for the adventures of a dog.) So as you can tell I did not read book 1 but you can pretty much put together what happened in the first book on the recap page.

I did like the character in this book that zero helped. He was the Mr. Scrooge of Christmas town. He just needed someone to care about him. The names...See what they did there...they totally called his dog one. How original. 😂

This is very much fandom trash, and I'm 100% okay with that. It's light, and mostly callbacks and Easter eggs to the film, but that's what you'd expect.
This volume introduces another new character, Mr. Myzer, who gets more depth than Jouelle from the first volume. He despises Christmas and Christmastown itself, for a decent enough reason I won't spoil. Yes, he's basically Scrooge, and Zero helps him, but he feels like a character Burton could've added to a Nightmare sequel.
It's fandom trash, but what's wrong with that?

I’ve been liking this series a lot even though I'm not that into The Nightmare Before Christmas movie. I think this series would be easy to follow if you have not watched the movie before, and I also like how these comics get you thinking about the characters' backstories this particular one made me think of who owned Zero before he died was it the guy in Christmas town that hadn't got over the fact that his dog died when he was younger or was it someone else? Overall I give this book four ⭐’s .

Zero is still lost in Christmas Town and at the mercy of a ruthless gingerbread man. Things only go from bad to worse when a salty elf shows up and promises to end Zero once and for all. Meanwhile, the trick or treaters are getting into all kinds of mischief amongst the candy, games, and toys of the elf town, inciting a mob.

I don't know if nostalgia is enough to hold this one up. Everyone is so awful in this story! I'm worried for the next volume.

Lock, Shock, and Barrel continue to run amok in Christmas Town. Zero is busy trying to get away from a killer gingerbread man. He meets Mister Myzer who hates Christmas because his dog died on that day. Zero reunites the man with his ghost dog. Zero runs into Boogies Boys and they make their escape.

So far I've enjoyed this one the most. Although it did make me a little emotional. I'm reading it at school on my break ( I'm a teacher ) and I had to pause when it got to the scene of the puppy dying. 🐶 I lost a couple dogs a few Years ago and it still breaks my heart when I think about them. So seeing the little graphics definitely hit me in the feels! 😭

-3 stars. cute. definitely childrens book.

contains issues 5-9.

Zero runs into an angry man who turns out to be sad his pup died, and Zero somehow brings the pup back or his ghost or something and the man isnt angry anymore, neither is the gingerbread man. Lock Shock and Barrel wreck havoc in xmastown and fall through a hole to somewhere else.

The second volume in the series, this features fan favorites at its core: Zero himself, alongside the merry pranksters Lock, Shock, and Barrel. With a few false twists and a cliffhanger, it can be hard to follow what is such a short book, but it continues on with Nightmarian joy.

I loved this book so much, for many reasons. The art is amazing in my opinion, I loved to see more of Lock, Shock and Barrel. Zero's journey on this one left me almost in tears, due to me being able to relate to the character Mister Myzer. 😥😢💔💙

Oh all the feels in this one. When Zero remembered he is One and what happened to him in Christmas Town ten years earlier 😭😭😭. I can do without the Lock, Shock and Barrel antics, but the story of Mister Myzer and One/Zero was very sweet.

While still a nightmarish read we follow Zero and the trio prankster but don't know this one had too much for a short page count. Overall, will continue since it did end on a cliffhanger.

It's still a cute story but we start that Christmastown isn't entirely hunky dory.
