Rate this book
Lily Bellator is living a normal life. Well, normal for a young woman living in ancient Roman times until her father is killed right in front of her by the ruthless Centurion Atticus. She is taken into captivity to be sold to a slave master as a gladiator. Lily can’t lose her father and her family’s honor all in one night, can she? And the other Centurion, Markum, is he really who he says he is?On the hills of being thrust into the Colosseum and fighting for her life, Lily learns she can’t stay the same. She has to change to survive, especially now that some things are coming to light. Was her father’s death really just an accident? Did the spear really hit an unintended target…or was there something deeper going on?Lily is determined to find out, no matter the cost, and reclaim her family’s honor. Though, how will she, a girl of no importance, go about doing that, especially when the only person who seems to be able to help is Markum?

The word of the author herself can hardly be taken into account without seeing it as a pat on the back. But, I will try my best not to sound arrogant.

Personally, I know this book is rough around the edges. I was 17 when I published the book. Hardly old enough for life experience, sheltered and protected as I was.

Rough, but it is a step in the right direction, I hope. I have come a long way in my writing. You can see the clear and obvious progression from The FBI Chronicles to this novel here. Grammar, puncuation, plot and characterization are immensely better.

Would I recommend this book? Yes, merely to show how far I have progressed and hope to continue progressing.
