It was just a faded old photograph of an unknown young woman... And yet somebody at Stonegrove Hall did know her, and didn't like that she'd surfaced again. Volunteer room steward Lindsay Walton is who was she, and why did her photo provoke such an extreme reaction? A chance encounter leads to stand-up comedian Caroline van Dell getting involved in the search for the mystery woman too, but for very different reasons. As Caroline and Lindsay stagger though their investigations like true amateurs they find that some of the biggest discoveries they make are about themselves and each other. 'Finding Bella' is a story about friendship, perseverance and untold truths, centred on a historic house and country estate in the beautiful Purbeck Hills of Dorset.
Read this in two days. Annette has the ability to take ordinary people and tell their stories in a way that just makes you want to keep reading. Her characters are interesting and believable, definitely recommend
This is my favourite of all Annette Keen's book. I loved the pace, the story and the characters. I really would like a sequel to find out how they are all doing!
