Interesting but too many name-drops

Interesting book, but, as a UK-based Methodist, there was far too much name dropping for me personally (relentless throughout) and for names/organisations that I simply have not heard of. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to read but it read far more like a regular autobiography than guidance for would-be Apostles, which was a shame.

This book is in many ways a repackaging of Peter Wagner's writings on the office and ministry of apostle in modern times. It was helpful for me to understand the mainstream NAR perspective on apostleship. Ahn presents a defensible theology for the continuation of 'small a' apostles, though his strong points are intermingled with worthless points (e.g. the number of times the NT mentions the word 'apostle' vs the word 'pastor'). I was also glad to see him distance himself from both the hyper grace movement as well as the extremes of prosperity gospel.

Mandate

This book is an ostokic mandate made plan through scripture and power along with the many years of experience and reading. This book is a must read for any church pastor, apostle or anyone who studies church leadership. Check lays out the mandate so clearly. It's one of those can't put down books.

Excellent read on New Testament Apostles

One of the best informative books on Modern Day Apostles. A charge to true Apostles called of God. You shall know them by their fruits. Not just a title.
Recommend this for all those that accept and believe there are Apostles today.

Well written and a fairly quick read. Interesting points made, but I felt it was a tad subjective. I gave this 5 stars because I believed Dr. Ché Ahn made a good argument, overall, for his position. This book does make one think about what could be for us, as Apostleship goes in this present day. We do need greater number of followers of Christ standing up for moral standards, stop cowtowing down for those who want their ears tickled.
