“God forbid.” He winked at me and continued through the door.
“Can you just stop being Miss I don’t need anybody and allow me to take care of you?” The smile grew wider.

“Can’t help it, doll.”
“I need to go home.”
“My place home? You’d love my bed.”
I chuckled at the comment, giving him credit for not giving up. “My place home, in my bed by myself.”
