Learn about the history and practice of the Wiccan tradition, discover the incredible power of spellcasting for health, wealth and happiness, and explore the magickal side of herbs & plants to connect with nature, as the earliest shamans did in the ancient world.
The world we live in today seems wholly distant from the one our ancestors lived in—a world where humans and Nature were at one, their existence intertwined in the natural cycles of life. Wicca teaches us to appreciate the Earth, celebrating the intricate changes in the seasons and everything they bring.
As you’ll discover in this book, Wicca is a reincarnation of the very earliest religions, practiced for millennia before the advent of Christianity. Wiccans celebrate and share many of the same beliefs our ancestors held, with practices that honor the old ways while being compatible with contemporary life.
For thousands of years, our ancestors believed that the Elements — Earth, Air, Fire, and Water — were the building blocks of the Universe, and their inherent properties and energies could be directed to manifest particular outcomes. Through ritual and magic, Wiccans interact with the primal forces of the Elements in a variety of ways, calling upon them for assistance in the transformation of their realities.
Interest in Wicca, Witchcraft, and contemporary magic has increased exponentially over the past few decades. The dramatic rise of this Nature-based religion is due at least in part to the Internet—just twenty years ago, people curious about these subjects often had little access to credible information, especially those without a good New Age or Occult bookstore nearby. But the appeal of Wicca is also growing in tandem with the increasing complexities of our modern, high-pressured mainstream society.
You will discover:
• The origins and history of Wicca and Witchcraft • The Wiccan holidays of the Wheel of the Year: the Sabbats and the Esbats • Core elements of Wiccan ritual • Principles of magic—both ancient and modern • Choosing your Wiccan path • An overview of Wiccan covens, circles, and solitary practice • Magickal tools & how to use them • Tips & guidelines for successful spellcasting • The phases of the moon & their importance • Spells for abundance, wealth, health, love and happiness • And much more!
Whether you're just looking to learn more about the Wiccan way of life, or you want to start practicing Wicca yourself, you will have a solid understanding of the essence of Wicca after reading this book.

This is a begginer-friendly guide for new Wiccans and those who are looking forward to practice within a coven.
However, the title is misleading. Wiccans & Witches differ in several ways and this is by no means a book for the Witches. The title should only be in regards to Wiccans & especially Wiccans practicing the craft in Covens. As there is very less regarding the Solitary Wiccan.
this book is incredibly basic and talks more about covens, with hardly any mention on how these things work as a solitary wiccan or witch. other basic information here isn’t even that good. you’re better off buying another book if you truly want to learn about wicca or witchcraft because this book will teach you nothing
I want it to be know that the only reason I rounded this up was because I can imagine this book would be excellent for a coven. As an individual it didn't so much for me (and can we talk about that mention to homosexuality?!?!). I'm not sure this book was more or less informative than others I have read so far, but the author is pretty damn confident for sure. Sometimes they'll preface things with the acknowledgement that the ritual can be performed a different way, but there are plenty of times where they do not. Also, it's fascinating to me that they're so confident when there are so many typos.
Very introductory in nature. Very basic. Witchcraft from the pov of strict wiccan ways which the books promises ofcourse. I was not particularly looking for this book. Infact there are separate books that dives deeper in themes this book just touches on like love magic, sex magic. I was looking forward to read more about the philosophy of The Wiccans and less of rituals/ spells. But satisfactory in terms of what it dealt with.
It was cool and quite informative also. I think as the name states you do get an understanding of the culture or religion. For those who want to understand the craft should start with this one. It's short and simple. It does favour the religion than the craft but still it gives you good start. 😊
A good overview of Wiccan basics and rituals. Although the title mentions solitary witches, the book was definitely written from the perspective of being part of a coven, especially when it came to the steps of the various rituals.
