Michelle Mercer was brutally and violently murdered. Her husband, former SAS operative Julian Mercer, has never come to grips with the loss. How could he? After all, he was the prime suspect. Years have passed, but Mercer maintains his innocence. And now that he's home in London for an extended stay, he has nothing but time to review the clues, search for suspects, and plan his revenge. There's only one problem. The killer has set his sights on Mercer.
With little left to lose, Julian will do just about anything to get justice for his wife. So the hunted will become the hunter. But when the killer targets Mercer's team, Julian must make some tough decisions. Is revenge more important than saving innocent lives or the lives of his brothers-in-arms?
How far will one man go to stop his wife's killer?

This is pure fear, adrenaline and stubborn, heroic men chasing a sadistic killer around London. The K & R team of Mercer, Bastian, Donovan and Hans are the hunters and the hunted as Mercer, with the help of Alex, uncovers clues to the tragic murder of his wife, Michelle. You're ahead in understanding the make-up and purpose of this team if you have been reading the Alexis Parker series and definitely begin with book one of this series. Once you get involved in this intense story you won't be able to put it down. Be ready for anything !
At long last, it’s time for Julian to find his wife’s killer. With Hans recovering from a wound and the others on a break, Julian pursues all the clues the police missed.
Alex is of some help in the States, and Jules begins to believe it’s likely someone from his larger team. At the same time, a pattern is forming, with other operatives’ loved ones being killed. In the end, it turns out to be someone who was in close competition with Mercer in training, a real psychopath who’s playing with Julian.
Lots of suspense and adventure as the team chases after the killer, great story of true justice.
The rest time for everyone to heal gives Mercer time to find his wife's murderer since they're stuck in London for 6 months. The killer gave he and the police a merry chase. HD has murdered many people and the fact come together with vague description and his ghost like and bombing talents. One of the things Parker told him was it sounded like Michelle knew him and that he was looking for one of his own, meaning SAS. In the end he showed himself and Julian was able to identify him and put an end to the terror but not before the guy killed all of his own team members. Julian was almost killed in the confrontation and Hans recovery was set back 2 months.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Great knowing who killed Michelle. Lots of excitement. Looking forward to the next book. I just love Julian and the team
Following on from previous three books, The killer of Mercer's wife is finally identified & a cat & mouse game continues until there is only one winner. Totally engrossing.
