I’m a husband and author, and I may be a little religious about both. I like writing hot sex and encapsulating it in the delicate white silk of devotion, commitment, and psychotic obsession.

Right from the beginning, I was caught deep in the dark and twisted mind of Mordecai. At once he encouraged depravity and evoked sympathy. He wove quite a web for me to get tangled in. And I'm not the only one. Poor Miriam. She had no clue what she got herself involved in. Or with who.

"Because I have within me every manner of psychosis that exists in psychopaths. I'm considered... a ticking time-bomb. Perhaps with age, or the right situation, I will come into my full, lethal potentials and gifts." - Mordecai

Now normally, when someone confronts you with these facts, you'd run away. Right? But Mordecai checks every box that Miriam has. She was looking for the perfect subject for her thesis and, like a miracle, Mordecai appeared. Little does she know that what she deems to be fate is just one of many of his manipulations. Yippee ki yay!! His stalking and quirks only make him more interesting.

Once again, Lucian Bane has made a mess of my mind and created a story that has most definitely captured my attention. I'm just happy that by the time I got to the end of this duet that the next part of the story was already available. I wonder what other dark pieces make up this wonderful character named Mordecai.

I’m hooked!

I am fascinated by this story.. the mind of two different people that come together to research each other. You can feel the slow burn between them and can’t help but wonder.. Who will break first, the psychopath or the good girl? How will these “sadistic games” play out...
I love this authors works.. he has a way of making you think.. a way that pulls you in but never knowing which direction he will take you. Yeah, I’m hooked.

Sadistic Games Book 1 & 2 by Lucian Bane
Mordecai has watched Miriam and patiently waited to set his plan in motion. When Miriam received an eviction notice, she immediately turns to the ads to look for a new place to live. One advert jumps out at her and she phones to inquire. Mordecai is pleased with how the plan is coming together. After explaining his rules and expectations, they agree to the terms. Miriam is in awe of the house as well as Mordecai. She is a fully fledged Christian with strong beliefs; Mordecai has ulterior motives where Miriam is concerned. Can Miriam survive the games of a psychopath? Mr Bane has a way of drawing you in with his talented storytelling. He has set the foundation down, giving us the crucial elements of each character and yet you know that Mordecai is not being 100% honest. I have a feeling he is going to be playing some mind games to bend the rules and beliefs of Miriam.
Miriam has prayed to God to keep her strong. She is attracted to Mordecai, that she cannot deny, but knows, that she has to be strong to help him as well as herself. Mordecai is the hunter and Miriam is the hunted. He usually gets his thrill from this and has only ever hunted animals so this is something new for him. When they sit down to do their first interviews he answers all her questions without hesitation. When she questions his sexual history, he becomes agitated by her non-belief in his answers. When the tables are turned, he for the first time feels a stirring that he has never felt before. He does not allow her to get out of answering the questions and all the while he cannot deny how her answers are affecting him. On completion of their first session, he has offered to teach Miriam to swim. Is this just another game that Mordecai is playing, or will this be the catalyst that will spark more between them? The story just keeps building and while Mordecai does not show emotion he cannot deny how his body is reacting. Miriam will be forced to look at her religious beliefs through the eyes of Mordecai. Is she ready for these sadistic games? Once again Mr Bane shows us how talented he is when it comes to writing a story that pushes your boundaries.

Sadistic Games: Book 1 & 2 by Lucian Bane is a Boxset of 2 engaging tales of seduction & redemption ...the story of
Mordecai is a psychopath... a certified sadist...Miriam is a Christian with an insatiable need to be a savior ...once they engage as it were...and circle each other looking for chunks in the other’s armor...the stage is set...let the “games” begin....in a battle as old as time. Is it even possible for Miriam to pull Mordecai into the light...OR will he drag her into his world of external shadows ...where the light is shunned and the darkness is ever deepening ?!? Is it even possible to consider that the two are not really that different after all...once attraction has begun...and the third party of Love commands the field?!? Read Lucian Bane’s enthralling new work...and decide for yourself. Much enjoyed and Highly Recommended. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Copy of this book.

Intriguing at the beginning
I really liked this rather particular beginning, while manipulation by a young man who asserts psychopath and wants to be the subject of study of the young woman that he will try to manipulate. the subject of her thesis is the possibility of treating psychopaths, and his own, about the influence of man on a situation or situation on man. But her goal seems to go beyond this intellectual battle, especially since she is very religious, and God would be her explanation for any argument.
He manages to make her live at home for this study and begins his exchanges that seem to be scientific, but maybe not that much.
I just found it unfortunate that the story is broken up into 6 books. This first opus seems too short.

Definitely Different

In the beginning, Mordecai stalks Miriam every move. Setting her up to take his bait/offer. Miriam finds herself being evicted then, sees a place to rent in the paper. But they don't want money for the rent, they want, in return, to study. She calls and finds out that she would be the one he would be studying. She takes Mordecai up on this strange offer believing God has put Mordecai in her path. Or the devil.

I gave it 4 stars because I , myself, wouldn't move into someone's home and I don't know any friends that would put their self in a position like this. BUT,,, I love this author, so I'm hoping for the best because Mr Bane is an amazing author. On to book 3.

The two characters in these 2 stories are an odd couple, they are complete opposites and that makes the plot an intriguing one from the get-go. What happens when a staunch Christian meets a psychopath? Well, read this set of 2 books and you may just find out! I felt an instant connection when reading this book and it’s one that made it difficult at times to continue reading. Yet, as soon as I had finished reading the book I wanted more and am eagerly waiting to read the next installment from this author. This is the first time I have read anything by this author, and I am in love with his writing technique and his wonderful word usage.

I am always very happy when Lucian Bane creates new works for us to read. His latest series Sadistic Games is truly a mind teaser. Mordecai is the perfect psychopath. He personifies calm and controlled. He truly has evil tendencies yet I believe somewhere deep down we will see a dare I say more human side to Mordecai evolve. Miriam, she is the type of character I just want to go up to and grab slap her and tell her to “snap out of it.” Miriam acts all innocent and prim but I truly think there is a vixen in there just waiting to get out. Things between the two of these characters are already intensifying. I cannot wait to see what Lucian has in store as this series unfolds.

Review The stories of Lucian Bane never disappoint. He always takes you on a wild ride. A ride you may think you know but like a roller coaster climbing to the top you have no idea whats really around the corner.
I always get nervous and excited when it comes to reading his stories. This one is a slow ride into one I will enjoy. Already this book gives you the curiosity to want maybe even need more. I know I'm trapped in this world of Sadistic Games and looking forward with anticipation of how the story unfolds.
xo Book two is the true beginnings of the games. In the first half there are questions and answers and things start to heat up.

"The second he knew he couldn't and shouldn't pursue what he planned, he then knew he must and would."

The first book in the series, which is highly addictive and very explosive.

Mordecai, is the shrewd, cold, calculating psychopath who is on a mission to prove his thesis at all costs.

Miriam, with her quirky nature and unwaivering faith that she will always be where she needs to be, and the path she treads is the right one, faces a tough time going toe to toe with Mordecai in a battle of wills.

A story that hooks you from the start. I just cant wait for the next installment.

Dark and sadistic is exactly what you get when Mordecai and Miriam meet! I told myself I'd wait for the entire series to finish before I started reading this, but I couldn't help myself. I took a peek and I was a goner! Mordecai is all about logic and calculated chances. I could Venn diagram him all day long. Sweet Miriam is strong in her faith but believes she can fix Mordecai. This cat and mouse game is so thrilling, and the series is freaking amazing! Nobody does sarcastic wit and sadistic intent like Mr. Bane! I cannot wait for the next installment!

Lucian Bane introduces us to Modercai, smart, focused and a bit unusual. Under the guise of completing his psychological thesis he welcomes a young woman to live in his home to study the human condition.

As Miriam is tasked with having to complete her thesis as well, the arrangement seems too good to be true. When they sit down and lay their plans out on the line it becomes apparent that diving into the psyche of a psychopath may be more than what Miriam bargained for.

This a serial series that will be continue in episodes.

Again, another fantastic story from this author. The story of Mordecai and Miriam is such a contrast in characters, that seems to be a story in and of itself. Just wondering how it's going to play out when one is a God-fearing Christian, and the other...a "sadistic psychopath" is a page turner right there! But exploring the minds of these two does not prepare you for the kind of games that are going on...or, that are about to be discovered.

All I know is that I can't wait to get to the next installment of this couple...Lucian Bane has won me over...yet again!!!

Wow! I think I held my breathe the entire time!

Because I just exhaled and I couldn’t stop the angst, suspense and intensity of these two characters as they use one another to test their theories. These two stories are eloquently written and the wording is superior that I feel smart reading such high quality reading. And the plot and overall story phenomenal. Wow. It jumps right in and you don’t feel lost and confused so reading along you follow each of Mordecai and Miriam’s thoughts as they traverse these trials. I am eager to read the next installment.

These 2 books are a great start. Giving us information and background on Mordecai who is a diagnosed sadistic psychopath, And Miriam who is a bubbly over talkative young Christian lady who has strong believe. Both need each other to complete their studies but there is something stronger going on. I don't think I took a breath the whole time they were asking their questions. Cant wait for the next book BRING IT ON!!!!!

Sadistic Games is about two people who wouldn't normally find each other in the "normal" world, but not in "Lucian Bane's world" and I have to say I am loving Lucian Bane's world! Mordecai and Miriam move in together and study each other while both are working on their thesis. This is one of those books that you definitely have to read to understand how a psychopath and a Christian end up together under the same roof. Great writing, intriguing characters and a cliffhanger that left me wanting more make this a 5 star read. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Strange, twisted series.

This is a strange series. It's intriguing and suspenseful, I'm just not sure where it's going. I am however very interested in finding out. From what I've read so far I am quite intrigued to see where this strange relationship between Mordecai and Miriam is heading. Definitely looking forward to reading more in Sadistic Games: Book 3 & 4.

The dark and mind twisting, psychological game is such a mind f*ck. Mordecai has a plan in which he has set his psychotic self on stalking Miriam and getting to know his prey. He has it all figured out down to getting her to move in.

But remember it's called SADISTIC GAMES. A start to a twisted mind blowing experience. I'm going to jump into the rest of the series.

So much going on right out panther gate

These two books have set the foundation in place for what is looking to be an incredible battle of inner strength between two very different people with a strong mutual attraction. I can't wait to read the next in the series to see how this has out.

Book 1 & 2 combined - It was a very interesting read that garnered my interests and I am relishing in this story line! My love for God, Science, and sadism are what pulled me into these books. Knowing Lucian's pension of these genres have always put me on a high after reading excerpts and tidbits of all books he has written thus far. I am learning that his books will have me a mess, both in good way and bad way, after finishing his books! I am giving these first 2 books a 4 steaming javas, ☕☕☕☕, which I feel will end with 5 cups of piping hot javas as I read into the rest of the series! This story started out in innocence and scientific research which is morphing into sexual sadistic findings for Mordacai scientifically, however, emotionally and physically he is craving to break Miriam to his sadism. As for Miriam, this was leading, in her mind, a test of her resolve in her faiths and beliefs but it seems while she's fighting to hold onto her scientific and internal belief in finding help for him while at the same time unconsciously truly craving for his sadism. I look forward to delving deeper into both characters' psyches, their emotional and sexual reactions of the hunter and the hunted to see how their story ends.

Well, I am on my way to read books 3 & 4. Be sure to read Lucian Bane books, you will not disappoint - guaranteed.

Mordecai is a psychopath and Miriam is a Christian, both are virgins and get together to write their thesis papers for college. Mordecai is controlling and has been watching Miriam for quite some time, manipulating her world to get Miriam to a place where she moves into his home. He controls all aspects of her life.

The whole of these two books felt like introduction. None of it was overly interesting. I had some anticipation of what Mordecai might do, but nothing came to fruition. I was surprised at the point where this ended because there was no anticipation between the characters, and they hadn’t even touched each other. Overall, I found these two books to be bland. They barely held my attention. Considering how much I have liked Lucian Bane’s other books, I was disappointed with these.

★ Intriguing set-up for their proposals - challenges accepted ★

—>>> A very controlled, thrice-diagnosed psychopath, Mordecai Riddler gains good-Christian-girl Miriam as a housemate, with an agreement for her to become his study subject. Stepping into his web, Miriam acquaints herself with his strict peculiarities, which are quite unconventional for such a young and attractive man his age. But it seems that he is also the perfect candidate for her chaos-theory-based thesis.

These two installments are very slow-building to establish preliminary guidelines for their graduate studies as they get to know the personal histories which contributed to their fundamental and present selves.

Lucian Bane has done it again. You're super blessed, definitely a talented writer.

I love this book, I knew I was going to love this book. The plot, the concept, the idea is always intriguing. I enjoyed every minute of this book, it was easy to read and easy to understand.

The author nailed the inner struggles of the main characters, it gave a perception of how a Christian and an unbeliever view similar situations. The chemistry and the connection between the two main characters was also magical.

This book is amazing. I need to read the remaining series.
