"A beautifully crafted, thrilling red-hot romantic suspense." Goodreads reviewer.

He protected me from danger and became my biggest threat.

He’s my defender. My savior.
A brutally determined man with a cocky smirk and an equally cocky attitude.

Broad. Strong. Focused.
He seduces me with his flirtation.
Warms me with his care.

But he’s hiding something.
There are ulterior motives beyond his concern for my security.
A thirst for more than my safe keeping.

I can’t fall for him.
Can’t be tempted by his touch.
Not when he can’t be trusted.
But questioning my protector means I’ve now become his target.

ARC received from author for an honest review

Oh Ms Summers, what have you done to me.

I have been waiting for Decker since I read Hunter, and I have not been disappointed. This romantic suspense story has had me on the edge of my seat (well, couch) for the entire read.

Decker and Keira's story was dark and full of secrets and lies - yet through it all they find each other, they are the order to each other's chaos.

At times I didn't know who I could trust, who I should like, who I should shank (yes, it did bring out some violent tendencies at times). What I did know was that I needed to turn the next page to find out what was happening.

And then just when I thought I could take a breath, Ms Summers had it ending in a way that had me screaming what the heck!

I need the next book. Now. I don't want to wait. Please don't keep me waiting too long.

Mystery and intrigue, secrets and lies!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💚🖤💙💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍
Character development: 😚🙂😁😍

The heroine: Keira Torian - younger sister to Cole Torian, mafia kingpin and the bad guy from Hunter, book one in this series. She works at her family’s restaurant. She sees threats everywhere and hates the people in her life, all the lies, deceit and danger.

The Hero: Decker - best friend to Hunter, they work together while Hunter was a contract based assassin for Torian. Now due to the events at the end of Hunter, both Decker and Hunter work for Torian all the time, not on a contract basis.

The Story: Decker meets Keira at Torian’s house and he is immediately attracted to both her strength and her vulnerability. Decker was a good guy and a great friend to both Hunter and Sarah in the first book and is a strong character. Kira is attracted to Decker from the beginning as well, though she knows getting mixed up with him isn’t smart.

Though many of the characters were introduced in the first book, this book can be read as a stand-alone. The characters are re-introduced at the beginning of this book and it is about a different couple and has a completely different storyline. I really enjoyed the mystery and intrigue in the first book so was looking forward to Decker’s story in this one.

The book was told in dual points of view via dual narration. The narration was done by Laura Jennings and D.C. Cole. I really liked Laura’s voice it was soft and feminine with strength behind it just like Kira. D.C. Cole has a nice voice but it isn’t as deep as I would have liked for Decker. Though overall the narration was good.

I enjoyed the story in this one, Decker was protecting Keira after a drive by shot up her family restaurant. There was mystery and intrigue, secrets and lies happening with both of them, much like in the first book. However, I didn’t feel the chemistry between these two like I did in Hunter and Sarah’s story. I am not quite sure why, but I liked the story much more than the romance in this one.

What a ride!
Decker has it all - witty banter, sex appeal, emotional pull, and incredible sex appeal. And that’s just from the man himself!
Decker picks up right where Hunter left off, but it can easily be read as a stand-alone, with no confusion to the reader.
Ms Summers has this amazing way of pulling you into a story, holding you captive until the very end, and leaving you wanting more. Decker is no exception and I cannot wait to see what comes next.

Decker is certainly got my attention. The story is not just a bodyguard romance but blend into a mafia romance with many interesting twist on the plot.
Miss Summers certainly wanting to bring a new twist into her story.

The trust between Decker and Keira is delicate. I was holding my breath when these two attacking each other with so much emotion. The banter, the tension and the conversation is nicely build.

Overall a very very enjoyable book.

Decker by Eden Summers

What can you say when you have read a story that could very nearly top the list of best reads for the year? You could probably wax lyrically on the brilliance of the characterisation, the gritty storyline, the touching emotion, the sizzling hot passion, the page turning intrigue!
But you know what...read Decker yourself and come back to me and lets compare notes. I am not going to spoil this one for you in ANY way.
What I will say is that Eden Summers has delivered a humdinger of a story with this one.
Just so damn good.
5 huge stars!!!

Eden Summers writes amazing flawed characters. The main characters have connections to the Torian mob family -- he works for them, she is part of the family. Her uncle was run down and is gravely injured in the hospital, a drive by shooting at an engagement party puts them together when he throws her to the floor and covers her with his body. They escape the shooting scene and the story begins. His sister died in the slave trafficking led by Keira's father and uncle. Keira's first sexual experience came as a young teen at the hands of her uncle. There is a lot of violence and some steamy love scenes, but the part of the book that grabs you and won't let you go is the relationship that develops between two characters who have trouble trusting and being truthful.
This is the second book featuring people connected to this mob family. I hesitate to call it a series because this book could certainly stand alone.

This standalone, romantic suspense is a fast-paced book that keeps you entertained until the very end. Keira is the youngest daughter of a man who heads up a crime-ridden family. Her brother tries to keep her in the dark, but she is a strong, cunning heroine who fights her own battles. Decker works for her brother, Cole Torian, and is tasked with keeping Keira safe from the family’s enemies. I loved Decker. He is the sexy alpha male with a hidden secret. He is the perfect balance of toughness, mixed with sarcastic wit and a soft spot for Keira. Keira also has secrets and what happens when the two discover what each other are hiding? There are betrayals, lies, action, suspense, some good twists and turns throughout the book that keep the story entertaining. I also really enjoyed seeing more of Hunter and Sarah as well as learning a little bit more about Cole Torian. Decker, takes place after Hunter, but it can be read as a standalone. Overall, I enjoyed this book as it had a great storyline, good suspense, and likable characters. I am looking forward to this author’s next book. I received this book as an ARC.

I don't have words for how AMAZING this book is.

First of all, I had several "I was not expecting THAT" moments. I LOVE those. Eden certainly threw me some curve balls and it made this book SO exciting, wondering what else I didn't know.

Nextly, this is a romantic suspense in every sense. For as on-the-edge-of-your-seat it is, it's as equally holy-smokes-these-two-have-sizzling-chemistry.

But the best part of all (aside from the flawless storytelling) was the descriptions of everything. I had no trouble seeing in my imagination everything Eden wanted me to. Yes, it was very graphic at times, but it was so brilliantly done!

Though each book has featured a different couple, the underlying story in Decker built off of the story introduced in Hunter. While I don't think it's absolutely necessary to have read Hunter first, you will want to read Hunter. It's just that good :)

I am DYING for the next book, and I think I just might go back and re-read the previous one. I LOVE this series!!!

Decker is a man on a mission. Being part of the mafia has its problems, especially when he is assigned to protect Torian's sister Keira. The way she moves the way she fears nothing not even the head of the mafia family himself. Decker finds himself torn between his best friend Hunter and his objective. This is a action packed adventure filled steamy sexual tension between Decker and Kiera that leave them both exposed betrayed battered and broken confused on what to do next. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the series to continue. It is a must read. Highly recommended.

5 Stars!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has suspense, running, secrets, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Hunter by Eden Summers

This is Keira and Decker’s story. After Keira is put in danger Decker is assigned to protect his boss’s sister. As they fall into a sort of relationship secrets and lies come out. Will they be able to handle all the fallout, or will it destroy everything they worked hard to build? Can either of them trust what they feel, or will the danger make sure they never get a chance to be together? Get ready for an edge of your seat suspenseful ride.

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

Wow! What an adventure! This book features Sebastian Decker and Keira Torian. Their love is real and sizzling hot. The twists and turns are fantastic. The trust and lack of trust are enough to make you want to scream. The lengths these two will go to, to protect each other is almost heartbreaking. It’s a testament to their love that the big bad alpha man, Decker, would profess his undying love in front of the other big bad alpha men, Hunter and Lucas. It actually made me laugh out loud.

This is such a well put together storyline. The growth and flow of this storyline was super smooth. The surprises are shocking and believe me, there’s more than one. The characters are brilliant and very well thought out. I love that we got to spend so much time with Hunter and Sarah. I can’t wait for the next book.

I could not put this book down until I finished it ..I just had to know what happened. We were first introduced to Decker in Hunter’s book and his story did not disappoint! Decker’s sole focus has been getting revenge and nothing was supposed to get in his way until he sets eyes on Keira. When they are thrown together unexpectedly they need to learn to trust each other. Lies, betrayals, uncertainty and a sizzling chemistry make this book hard to put down. I was holding my breath a few times as i read it. I loved the continual changing of Decker’s nicknames for Keira... and the one time she tried to do it back was hilariously awkward! I would highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next addition in this series

Love, love, loved it! Decker is a tough guy working for a crime lord and he gets stuck protecting his boss's baby sister after a shooting. They don't see eye to eye on very many things, but the attraction is there and sparks begin to fly! They both have secrets, which kept me wondering if they would ever get together. This book drew me in and I couldn't put it down. There is everything in this book - romance, adventure, and suspense, with a little bit of comedy thrown in. I wish it was longer because I would have loved to read more! Luckily Decker is part of series and I know I'll be seeing him more!

I am totally in love with the latest Eden Summers book, Decker.
Decker is the follow up story from Eden’s romantic suspense foray with Hunter and this is another page-turner that draws you deeply into a world full of fast paced action, mystery and suspense with a liberal amount of hot and steamy romance as well.
Sebastian Decker has many deep secrets to hide, as does Keira Torian, so theirs is a turbulent relationship and the potential for everything to end badly is genuine. Without giving too much away, there is one character in particular in this story that had me say I so did not see that coming!
Through many twists and turns you are kept guessing and desperately wanting Sebastian and Keira to get to their happily ever after. I loved seeing more of Hunter and Sarah in this story and hearing more about Cole Torian has me eagerly waiting for the next installment of this enthralling series.
Eden Summers has written a wonderful story that’s wrapped around characters we get to know and love as if they are real people. I highly recommend this book and this author!

Wow. Where do I start with this book?

This book follows on immediately from Hunter, which was Eden Summers first foray into romantic suspense. I was blown away by that book; Decker just raises the bar even higher.

This is a well thought out, intense, mafia-style thriller. It has brooding, calculating men, kickass women, double-crossing, risk-taking, heart-in-the -mouth moments. You are never sure just who is playing who.

Decker and Keira are one hell of a couple. He’s the sarcastic, wise-cracking suit who’s working for the Torian family. She’s the supposedly clueless mafia princess, unaware of the extent of her family’s dealings.

Both of these characters turn out to be so much more. Their strength, passion and determination just oozes from the pages. Their attraction to each other is as hot as hell; they can’t stay away from each other despite everything going to hell around them.

Decker’s determination to protect Keira at all costs left me in tears towards the end. It was a beautiful thing to read. And her fierce defence of him was just as powerful.

This truly is shaping up to be an epic series. I can’t wait for the next book, Torian, which will give the perspective of Keira’s brother, the kingpin of the whole saga.

This was my first book by this author. Apparently it's connected to a prior book, Hunter, though it is a complete standalone. I feel I would've been a little more informed on all the players here if I had read that one, but I caught up fairly quickly.

Decker is a bit of an enigma. He works for the local Portland crime family, but he seems to hold himself above the fray somehow. He's always quick with a sarcastic quip, or an inappropriate joke, and he mostly keeps to himself, other than his best friend and "co-worker", Hunter, and Hunter's fiance, Sarah. He's also become a little obsessed with the sister of his boss, Cole Torian. Keira is a beautiful, innocent princess stuck in this world, and he wants to save her. But, he's got his own reasons why he's stuck in that world himself, and there's no changing them.

Keira Torian is beautiful, smart, and a pretty great actress. She's constantly putting on the face people want to see when she's representing her family, like at the restaurant they own. She plays the innocent, in-the-dark princess better than anyone. She wants to trust Decker, when they are forced to go underground together, but she's not sure if she can. How deep are they in trouble? Can Decker keep her safe until they figure a way out? Or will they all end up dead?

Decker and Keira had constantly humming chemistry, and watching them fight off their attraction was fun, and it was especially entertaining when they were cracking sarcastic jokes all throughout. I enjoyed their senses of humor, and it made me laugh during some pretty dark situations. I wasn't sure if I could trust either of them really, as the story revealed itself. Neither of them were very reliable, as they were both lying liars.

The suspense plot was fairly dark and dangerous, and it was exciting to watch it all unfold. Each character had their own ideas about getting to the bottom of the issue, and no one was listening to each other, so it made for some fairly hare-brained schemes that could've ended in disaster. This story was darker than I typically like, but I really enjoyed the author's writing style, and pacing. I wasn't sure I'd end up liking either of the main characters ultimately, as neither could be trusted to tell the truth. But, they both managed to endear themselves to me, each in their own way. They were both fighting to trust each other, but each of them were in a very precarious position. They both had huge skeletons in their closet, and both were morally ambiguous, to say the least. But I enjoyed getting to know them, and the whole Torian crew.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story, and getting to know this world. I would be interested in the next book, as it'll be about Cole Torian, Keira's brother, and the boss of the family. I'm so curious how the author can make that anti-hero a hero, and I'd love to find out.

Wow. I didn’t see that coming at all. Decker is an amazing, suspenseful, unexpected, surprising ride. A drive-by shooting puts Decker as Keira’s protector. From the moment these two met, both of them have been battling a connection and working to deny that they feel anything. As they hide out, will they keep denying those feelings? Then there is Keira’s family, they are a mob family with so many secrets about what they do. I don’t want to reveal all the amazing twists and turns. Decker and Keira are fabulous together but can this really work with all the secrets that will be revealed. I loved every heart pounding moment. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

This book was ridiculously good! Hot sexy time, great story line, including sex, death, murder, more sex, secrets, character follow up from Hunter, Angry sex, betrayal, revenge and then some more sex.

I sat down to read this book between Xmas parties and was late getting to dinner because I couldn’t put it down!
If you loved Hunter you will love Decker. If you haven’t read Hunter, READ IT!

This dark romance was a fast paced quick read that will have you on the edge of your seat, second guessing who to trust. Eden Summers knows how to draw you in and keep you emotionally invested in the characters and the storyline. Both Decker and Keira have secrets that could destroy their chance at a future. Is the need for revenge worth sacrificing that chance at happiness? This story is a cliffhanger that will leave you wanting to know what will happen next. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

Second book in the series follows on from Hunter, What happens when a family restaurant is targeted with a fly by shooting, and when they find out that one of there own might be working for someone else.

And on top of that the passion between Decker and Keria hot.

He's hot. He's cocky. He's funny and flirtatious. He works for my family as one of my protectors. I can't be interested in him but I am. Is Hunter feeling the same way or is it just part of his job? In my family, I've learned not to trust anyone.

She's hot, really hot. Funny and over the top the perfect daughter in this crime family. She's mine to protect. I can't help feeling I wish she were just mine. I have to keep my hands (and other body parts) off. Not sure I can. She doesn't belong in this family.

Secrets. Loyalty. Vendettas. So much going on. This book will keep you reading even when there are a million other things to do. Guessing what going on, who is the good guy and who isn't will be a challenge. If you've read book one Hunter, you'll see Hunter and Sarah and they will play a big part in this one too. (although each book does stand alone)

If you like romance, intrigue, and unforgettable characters this one is for you.

Decker... I don’t even know what to say! He was the last thing I expected, but also so much better. His relationship and protectiveness of Kiera is heart-wrenching, and I still can’t rap my head around how the book ended. I think Cole’s book needs to be released ASAP because anything else I read is going to be hard to trump this one.

Decker finds himself having to choose between going on the run or working for the mafia. He's about to go on the run when he meets Keira, the mafia boss's sister. He decides there and then to stay and work for the mafia so that he can protect Keira.
Great story, with twists and turns, building the anticipation page after page. Secrets, betrayal, suspense, love and forgiveness. Excellent read!!
