Rate this book
Book 1: The Holy Grail

Fresh from his success with the search and rescue of the USS Omega Deep, Sam Reilly was looking forward to some much-needed rest.

Not everyone had the same idea though.

When a panicked man with purple eyes grabs him at gunpoint and takes him hostage, Sam knows that this is more than a mere ransom opportunity; this man is scared of something...

And Sam is going to have to find what it is if he wants to get out of this alive.

Book 2: The Phoenix Sanction

On board Phoenix Airlines Flight 318, Andrew Goddard awakens to discover the cockpit empty and all the passengers unconscious.

In the Colorado Monarch Mountains, an old gold miner discovers a fiendish stone mask sealed inside an obsidian chamber.

Sam Reilly has just three weeks to find out how the two unlikely events are connected, and the secret behind it might change everything we thought we knew about humanity.

Book 3: Habitat Zero

In the Pacific Ocean, a Silicon Valley magnate vacationing on his luxury motor yacht Carpe Diem, stumbles across a floating island of pumice.

Two weeks later, the motor yacht returns to its home port in San Diego on autopilot – but when it arrives, nobody disembarks.

Sam Reilly and his team are called in to investigate what happened on board Carpe Diem. But what at first appears to be a simple boating accident soon turns into a deadly game of international intrigue – sending America and Russia racing toward each other on an unavoidable collision course.

Great books, but there’s a hole the size of an aircraft carrier at the end of the last book!

Reviewing three books is a pleasure

Sam Reilly does get himself in some predicaments but his skill is he seems to understand humanity and work out each scenario as to their actions. The holy Grail once again USA experiments on humans goes way over board as usual, a man with funny coloured eyes goes to give blood to help a friend who had been on an accident only to be taken away and have more blood tests than expected Sam is in the same place at the same time and is taken hostage. This story is about that escape and another yet big mistake the USA could make.
The Phoenix Sanctions, man awakes on a plane to find every one asleep meanwhile Sam has had word about a mask in a gold mine, Sam has just three weeks to find the answers and save humanity
Habitat Zero this story is one that ties others together, Sam and Tom go to explore the 8th continent and meets a very unusual lady, mean while a large pumice island appears to be radioactive a small group of fishermen dive for their catch and find something unexpected. And once again the USA experiment is brought before the world and the Russians want their piece of the cake
Three books that tell of greed madness and secrets that put more lives in danger than any one knows. Throughly enjoyable story telling is fantastic as usual highly recommended

I have enjoyed all the Sam Reilly books so far. It's beginning to feel like Mr. Cartwright is filling pages with repetitive descriptions. I think if I read "fear rose in his throat like bile", or "cerulean skies", or Sam's "insouciance", again I'm going to close the books and stop reading. But I want to know what will happen in the long saga of the Master Builders, and who is the bad guy.

Sam Reilly strikes again

Couldn't put the books down. Always something new. I like the use of describing various types of weapons and vehicles. It helps in understanding the story line.
