A Man Burning: A collection of thrillers

Rate this book
a horror anthology

There is a man in the rural town of Jonesburg, burned from head to toe. He is seldom seen among the residents but when two of the local pastors are murdered back to back, the mysterious "burned man" becomes the primary suspect. Pastor Evan Givens and his wife arrive into town, inheriting the church and home from the murdered preacher. While doing some rummaging around the church, Givens finds a box of letters which detail the strange goings on in the town from years ago; tales of demon possession and cult sacrifices. Can the new pastor figure out who the burning man is before he becomes his next victim?

Well written and enthralling. This is what writing is about. I enjoyed reading these stories. Exciting happenings and unusual circumstances made these a must read for real readers.

This was a very decent collection of scary stories by different authors. The second story Premonitions is my favorite. It had a strong story line, lots of apprehension and in the end a very valuable lesson. The only thing about the ebook (and for all i know it can be the same with most ebooks) were all the typos, while it didn't take away from the enjoyment, it did get annoying. Otherwise this is a good read, each story diverse and well worth a recommend.
