He has published two books on film: 'It (1927) Style, Culture & a Twentieth Century Icon’ and ‘A Reasonable Amount of Trouble… The Films of John Huston & Humphrey Bogart'.

His favourite actor is Humphrey Bogart, favourite actresses Clara Bow, Bette Davis and Marlene Dietrich and favourite directors John Huston, Alfred Hitchcock and Martin Scorsese.

His favourite films are Casablanca, The Maltese Falcon, The Best Years of Our Lives, Easy Rider and The Warriors.

He has currently published three fiction novels: 'Blues for Breakfast', 'The White Glove' and 'Secrets & Lies'.

He is currently working on a fourth, 'Sunset on the Boulevard', scheduled for release later in 2024.
