I heard about this book from a podcast where the author talked about how to utilize the Gospel Library app to improve spiritual learning and personal revelation. He is now a missionary, teaching these principles to both youth and adults. This book helps inspire you to more fully utilize the gospel library in personal and meaningful ways, with the bulk of the book walking us through the app’s functions and capabilities. I'm fairly familiar with the app, but he still taught me many helpful tips (like when searching for a scripture, you don’t need to type out the entire word, just the first letter and numbers--J35 and then tap on Jacob 3:5, James 3:5, etc…). Or how to easily add a variety of content to a notebook for a talk or lesson. Mostly, it motivated me to write more scripture notes in the margins and create notebooks for my questions, impressions, and spiritual thoughts.

Steps for studying the scriptures (p. 8):
1-Pray for understanding, and ask any specific questions you may have.
2-Ask questions as you read.
3-Ponder what you have read.
4-Record your feelings and thoughts.
5-Close with prayer, expressing your gratitude and asking for helps as needed, and then listen.

You can have effective and meaningful scripture study in as little as 7 minutes a day:
Example 1 (p. 9):
• 1 minute of prayer
• 4 minutes of reading/marking text/ raising questions
• 2 minutes of prayer, listening, and recording
Example 2:
• 3 minutes of prayer
• 2 minutes of reading/marking text
• 2 minutes of recording an impression

The first couple of chapters about his purpose in writing this and the principles behind studying were my favorite part. I was already familiar with the gospel library but I still learned new things and if anything now have a stronger purpose behind using all of the features. I love my paper scriptures and still use them while also using helps from the gospel library. I also appreciated his recommendation of other apps that magnify his study and I have enjoyed using those too.
