"Oh come on Granger, don't be such a stick in the mud. Your precious Gryffindor ex isn't hesitating to string your heart out for everyone to see. He doesn't care that you are being humiliated. He doesn't care that everyone is spreading horrible rumors about you. All I'm suggesting is to give him a bit of his own back," he paused then, his voice going softer, suggestive. "I know you have it in you, I've seen you in action. Rita Skeeter, Umbridge, me… you don't hesitate to serve it up when someone's got it coming. And he's got it coming, Granger."
Fanfiction for Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling. Draco Malfoy/Hermione Granger
This is exactly what I want from Dramione fanfic I want Draco realizing Hermione´s value, seeing her for what she is, finding her good and also bad sides, yet highly appreciating her amazing points, realizing the points that they have in common, realizing what bullshit his family fed him with and abandoning the sick ideas that he was taught. I like Draco finding new life path and creating new life removing all the stupid and poisonous things from his family background, while he can also rely on Hermione helping him to be a good man. I want Draco fall in love with Hermione without breaking up with her, without being a sick bastard or making too many mistakes hurting her too deeply. I welcome when their relationship doesnt become toxic. I want to read about passionate, hot love between Draco and Hermione, about them showing their real selves to each other, cherishing and protecting each other. I love to read when they cant keep their hands from each other, when there are sparks in the air even when they just see each other without touching.
Oh, and did that I mentioned that Draco said the right things almost every time when he was pursuing relationship with Hermione.
There are a few reasons why I didnt give 5*. I loved reading this fanfic, it made me feel alive which I adore when reading a fanfic, it was such enjoyable reading, but because it was lighter reading I didnt stumble upon spots that would make me feel that this story is also VERY deep (although I admit that the story conveys a few very good messages) or that something spectactular or very surprising would happen here. I would also welcome if we could get more glimpse at people reacting on Dramione relationship being real. Dont take me wrong, I loved that the story was focused on the relationship from point of view of Draco and Hermione, but I was curious about reactions of other people which were provided but in shorter form and not with many details that I wished for. I also felt that the beginning premise of the plan kind of disappeared which is understandable when they really fell in love, but I thought that starting such a plan would have more implication and would have bigger impact than it was shown. Like certain things resulting from starting the plan were omitten in the story, or better to say that the story didnt cover everything to make it feel 100% compact.
I also had different image of Lucius, because I dont see him as someone who would be OK with Dracos relationship just after one talk with his son. He appeared tobe too easily persuaded. On the other hand the author explained that this OOC can be caused that this was written before HBP. But all these points are only small points that I kind of minded.
It was also surprising that the story covered a little bit more than 1 week, because it felt longer, yet it was masterfully done. And I must praise that I couldnt wait to read more, it was fanfic that I could digest easily and ENJOY a lot.
super cute fic with the classic fake dating trope! wish the ending was a bit more detailed and we found out weather dracos family ended up not joining the death eaters but i loved that this was mostly an angst free fic and they got there happy ending :)

The writing style of this fic reminded me alot of how older fics were written, even though it's fairly new.
The story takes place at Hogwarts but I'm not entirely sure in which year but I think it's the 7th. The war hasn't happened yet and I'm not sure if it's going to since other than the Malfoys mentioning Voldemort and their alliance with him, the trio isn't pressed about it. There is no mention of the war looming and Harry isn't preparing to fight Voldemort. The characters do feel OC but their relationships with eachother, actually stays true to their canon counterparts.
The story is pretty much straight fluff. Hermione wants to take revenge on Ron for dumping her and making her the laugh of Hogwarts. Draco wants to distance himself from his fathers belief system and doesn't want to join Voldemort. He plans to show his father how competent he is to uphold the Malfoy name on his own and he knows exactly how he's going to do that. Draco convinces Hermione that by dating him, she will get back at Ron and he will show his father. In the end, they stop pretending to date and realize that they got all they wanted by getting together.
It was a very fast read and I didn't dislike it but it wasn't a fic that I feel the need to keep or reread.
Short, sweet, & fun read! I like the enemies to lovers part to be a little more drawn out. Draco problem solving and figuring out how to get the sacred Malfoys out of the dark lords clutches early on (before anyone died) was a nice change.
