In "The Complete Player", Samantha Abrams takes an in-depth look at not only what we do in relationships but also why.

Let me tell you, Abrams knows what she's talking about. After a relationship went awry, she wanted to know exactly what made up this toxic relationship and how it worked. With in-depth psychology and biology research, she gets right to why some people are 'marks' for players.

Abrams keeps it real. She wants you to be careful and realize the best fulfilling relationship you can find should be with yourself first - everything else is just biology - so she is completely honest and up-front about a lot of things in her life and how they affected her. She's been through a lot and so it's good that she wrote a book about love and life that's so honest because I think it can help a lot of people.

There's a lot of technical research for those who are science-minded but it's also very approachable to read and there's a list of terms at the back of the book.

Intelligent, truthful, interesting work.

Real, raw, and hilarious at times. Love the narration and the honesty. Chapter 3 is my absolute favorite. It surveys the biology of the brain, illuminating the human nature of the player and his mark. The author’s insights here can be taken even further if desired. Readers can use this information to assess just about any discord in their relationships (or lack thereof.) Highly recommended for anyone who has a brain and likes to use it.
