Três Histórias Diferentes para Aprender Português , or “ Three Different Stories to Learn Portuguese” , is a collection of three stories designed in a simple way to help Portuguese language students to learn new vocabulary and sentence construction. The dialect is Brazilian, but it may also be useful for the study of European Portuguese. A Árvore Mágica , “The Magic Tree” , is a story of a boy who travels to the countryside and discovers a magic tree in the forest. O Mistério do Gato , “The Mystery of the Cat” , is a detective story. An old lady calls detective Jorge Rubens to investigate the mysterious disappearance of her belongings and cat. Os Cinco Coelhos do Monge Pitânis , “The Five Rabbits of Pitânis, the Monk” , tells the story of a monk who lives in a mountain with five rabbits. The monk wishes to become fluent in five different languages, so he develops several techniques to achieve his aims.
