It was good.. but I was also bored in some parts.
Her Pack was a cute little reverse harem book. In it, you will meet Maia, and she's kind of running for her life right now. It doesn't help that her supposed mate tried to force himself on her. Little did he know, she was not having that happening one bit. It's okay though.. because he was a selfish prick and deserved getting his throat cut. Unfortunately for Maia, that means she has to run away from this pack because she thinks she has killed the upcoming alpha.
While on the run, she gets captured by three hotties. They are in their own little wolf pack.. and they all seemed to have found their mate. There was obvious attraction amongst everyone .. so I was just waiting for them to all do the dirty deed.
Besides romance, this book had it's fair share of drama. Whether it was her on the run or idk her creepy psychotic ex showing up. It was a bit weird and overdramatic. I did still enjoy the book and I'm kind of sad that it was a standalone. Yet, at the same time.. I'm also happy?
Overall, I might dive into another book written by this author.

Boring
Dnf ended at 85%. Surprisingly I'm shocked I made it that far, this book really makes no sense and is boring to death. A lot of repetitive issues and our main heroine is not very likable to be honest.

So...this is interesting and boring at the same time. Seriously, I didn't know what to think. My impatience finally got the best of me and I flipped to the end after 60%. Yeah. Meh. But I loved Roy. And Grimm.
I gave it an extra .5 star because it is a standalone - I really appreciate that.

Her true pack
A quick read. It was a sweet book, pretty fast pace once it started.
The world building wasn’t rushed and easy to be submerged and follow.
Maia is a strong, independent red of a woman. She has the temper and attitude that lives up to the stereotype. She finds herself to be a treasure among her species, but a pawn for a horrible gain. She has to protect herself at all costs until she lands herself with her pack of misfits.
The misfits:
Alaric, the alpha, blonde, strong, and born leader.
Farkas, the beta, brunette, comedy, and the pretty boy
Grimm, the mechanic, broody, tall dark and handsome

I enjoyed this book and it was well written. My only issue was the "conflict", I've read many books where the only conflict was an internal one. I just thought the execution of solving said conflict wasn't delivered as well as it could've been. I felt like if the 3rd party never spilled the beans the H wouldn't have said anything. I do hope there's another book...I liked Roy & Violet (what little we saw).

Candace Wondrak is a new author for me. But I am so fucking glad I’ve discovered her. I didn’t even read the blurb before jumping in so I had no clue what to expect. But I enjoyed it even if it were a bit predictive. Would I recommend it? Yes. If you’re into funny but still fierce (sometimes sarcastic) women with her sexy harem of men then you should read it.

I should have realized this would be darker than the cover/blurb led me to believe based on the authors' other works.
Basically wolves don't have fated mates. Male wolves just see a female "and can't help themselves" essentially the whole of wolf society is a bunch of rapists, traffickers, and lock their women up to force breed them. 🤮
The FMC has body betrayal syndrome right off the bat but starts to like the guys because they don't rape her. Yeah, the bar is in hell. They like her ... Well because she's a female wolf. The lack of chemistry is such that I'm firmly convinced she could have had a walleye, two wooden peg legs and smelled like onion farts and they still would have been over the moon about her.
The males are no prizes. They can barely run a business. You've got the Alpha who is constantly flustered whenever the FMC talks back or even acts like a human with her own thoughts and feelings. Then you've got the other guy a metrosexual who reeks of axe body spray and talks just to hear himself speak and makes really not funny jokes like every other sentence. And then you got the huge quiet guy who says like one word or grunts. Soooo no one is really connecting on a level beyond compatible species and anatomy.
I got to 49% and just skimmed the rest of it to see if it would recover and end up being a romance instead of whatever this is. Shocking to absolutely no one, it didn't

Sweet
This is a stand along shifter RH that explores the inner workings of trust, independence and finding a place you belong. The world and rules are familiar, but just different enough to stand apart and serve as the foundation for a new, expanded universe.
Pros:
- Themes explored are deep, but not thrummed like a drum. You get it without the blatant explanations some novels employ.
- FMC: she’s pretty rocking, and makes a main choice I probably would have too.
- Grimm: Big lug of shifter love. Awww
- Author did not try to drag this out into a series, she knew their tale could be told in one. I love series books, but only if the story supports it. Thank you! 💕
Cons:
- FMC choices later, some felt a bit manipulative and immature
- Main antagonist needed a bit more character building. He’s got reasons, but no substance.

Sexy, shifter alpha hotness! I devoured this book in one sitting so worth the read. Lots of yummy, steamy romance scenes and beautifully described awesome characters that are definitely swoon worthy! The book had a very good base plot which I think is important personally, the way everything was described put you right there in the book with the characters. Everything a romance should need was included, funny and relatable, plus sarcastic main character, gorgeous alpha males and a bad guy you want to punch in the face. I’d definitely recommend reading this book it’s so very worth it.

Ehhh...
I really wanted to give this author a shot, since several of her titles seem pretty interesting. But... This was a hard book to get through.
The characters weren't very compelling/dimensional and the shift in narrative focus just seemed... One note.
A lot of the inner thought was super needless and redundant. If you removed the repeated content, this book would end up being like 100 pages long.
I think the author should learn to trust her audience a little more, as opposed to spelling out every single thought.

Lovely New RH Shifter Standalone!
Really enjoyed the shifter concept and plot by Candace in Her Pack! And I absolutely love a strong FMC! Add in some seriously steamy wolves and you've got yourself a must read! I really hope we get to see more of this intriguing little town though! Not only were the main characters interesting, but Candace made every supporting character interesting too and now I need more 😁
Her Pack is definitely a wonderful addition to the Shifter RH genre!

I am a huge fan of shifter novels and I did like this well enough but I struggled with a lot. The characters each had their own personalities and with RH type novels that is a must of the characters all seem the same. So I’m that aspect the author did an amazing job. The plot was intriguing with a female shifter on the run and what ensures kept me reading.
I struggled a lot with the pace of the book. It wasn’t a novella and while it was enjoyable it just felt like there was so much more that could have been shown. The ending, while finished, could have benefited from being longer. The drama with the bad guy could have also been drawn out to feel more intense. I didn’t feel the connection that these characters were supposed to have.
I had a lot of issues with getting the impact of things. Some scenes seem like they were forced. This is one reason why I struggle so much with 3rd POV. So many times things feel forced rather then happening naturally.
The author was trying to make us feel for Maia, but even though I liked her spirt I wasn’t able to connect with her feelings. I will say that even with that I would be willing to read more from this author. This won’t be a novel that will stay with me but the author has a lot of potential in my eye. I think with more detail in what is going on this author can make a 5 star read. (Atleast for me) 3 stars #2OCCJD

Nice stand alone, third person POV just isn’t my favorite.

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.
2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.
3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.
4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.
5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.

Well to have a strong woman like Maia on the run is a bit shocking, but when she walks into a diner to get something to eat she did not plan on running into wolves! I mean she's on the run from an ex Zak, or atleast for what she did to him... but when Alarick, Farkas, and Grimm now having her in their sights can Maia see them for who they truly are. Alarick being a strong and protective alpha. Farkas being the beta and class clown, (he really loves to talk). And Grimm, mister strong silent type, well until Maia (sorta) lol. Maia is in for a wake up call in this book, I was sucked into the story right from the beginning and on the edge of my seat til I read it all....
And FYI: Alarick is mine!!! No touch! He's been claimed and licked!

Reading is a time to get away hopefully for another book.
Maia is a strong wolf that knows she doesn't want to be just another baby maker. She wants to make her own way in life that makes her happy .
As for the writing is good BUT the main talking comes from the authors of how the characters thoughts or feeling. Sometimes you cannot tell that if is a thoughts of the character of of the authors view of talking . If writing a second book to the series I would suggest her having only females and having the guys watch there daughter grow up and all the trouble that brings in New male characters and start a new kind of pack . Be the first author to put strong woman to look up to into a new world.

Holy mother of wolf.... I find it hard these days to find a shifter rh that I really enjoy but this was too good to put down!!! Those guys... man I could do with 3 handsome sexy wolves too!! And by the way Candace... Alarick, Grimm and Farkas... great names! I've never heard them before in a book which makes reading them easier while I'm not comparing them to other characters with that name! Grimm is just *Italian style finger kiss* mmmm I want....
This book is just so funny with a sassy relatable (well as relatable as a wolf can be anyway) heroine and some hilariously adorable guys! I give it the highest of recommendations!!! Go get it people!

Grimm is my fave
Maia has had a rough go of it. Being born a female shifter makes her more a commodity than a person. When she has to run, she finds that some shifters aren't all that bad. This is a stand alone book. It follows Maia as she tries to stay away from her old pack and manages to run into a whole new pack. The characters are great. Maia is strong enough to do what needs to be done. The guys are all kind. My fave is Grimm. There are several action scenes as well as some steamy scenes. We do get viewpoints from both the FMC and all of the guys. I really enjoyed the relationship building and I'm kind of sad that it is a stand alone. I really do like Grimm. Overall, I would recommend this book.

Good stand alone
This book is a stand alone so it was nice to read a story that had a happy ending rather than a cliff hanger. The storyline was decent and never seemed rushed or sloppy. The characters and their personalities were well described. The beginning had plenty of sexual tension and inner turmoil for Maia which was understandable considering what she was running away from. The steamy scenes were hot and detailed, my favorite ;). Overall, I enjoyed this book and recommend it to readers who love RH, wolf shifters, adult scenes, and happy endings. Great job to the author!

What an entertaining and adventurous run away read!
Maia is incredibly strong and independent and her three mates have just as strong personalities to stand up to and support Maia.
Not only do you get an understanding for how scared Maia is, you also get an feeling for how frustrated and angsty Alarick, Grimm, and Farkas.
This is a great standalone story, that encompasses and embraces the shifter world.

TSTL heroine
This was pretty good. I always enjoy a good shifter RH. I was a bit disappointed in the MFC. She's so adamant that she won't ever trust the guys, then she does an abrupt 180 and thinks they're the best things since sliced bread. It was just really abrupt. Then, after she finally decides they're trustworthy and she want to mate with them, she takes off at the first sign of trouble. Basically, she was just dumb and definitely ticks all the boxes for a TSTL heroine. But I did like the guys and I thought the story was fun so I'd recommend it.

I liked Maia, but I really liked the guys, especially Grimm. I really wanted to know more about him. Most of what happens in the story takes place over about 2 weeks. Maia is on the run from her old pack. Maia at times seemed to completely 180 for very little reason. I didn’t quite get why she’s suddenly decided to run towards things at the end. This seems to be a stand-alone, so a lot was packed into this novel. Overall, the writing was good, and I enjoyed the story.

Soooooooo good!
This book was absolutely fantastic, I loved it. The story line was great and pulled me in, I fell in love with the characters, Maia is a wonderful and strong woman. The men, what can I say, they are strong and kind and perfect. Candace Wondrak has an amazing way for pulling you into the story and not letting you go till the end and leaves you wanting more. I highly recommend this book.

It was really good until Maia decided to go out if character and turned into a seductress. I really enjoyed her standoffish nature and reluctance to join the pack but basically overnight she changed her mind. She used them for sex with barely any emotional connection and that did not sit well for me. And to top it all she then acted as if she was too stupid to live. It ruined the book for me completely.

I love when a character has a chance to blossom and develop into the boss babe they are. Add in 3 men who don't want to change a thing about her and gives her the time and space to be her?? Be still my beating heart. Would recommend for a sweet read. And it's always the quiet ones that steal your heart first.

Enjoyable storyline
I enjoyed the storyline and each of the characters. Maia was great and so were each of her men. The only thing I would have appreciated would have been more of a detailed backstory. It took me awhile to connect with the characters since the book jumps right into the middle of Maia’s story.

Good but rushed
This book felt a little rushed. There could have been more to the story and a stronger plot line. I would have liked to see a little more conflict as well, not just towards the end of the book. We got to learn a little about the characters, but there could have been a little more development on some of them.
