Rate this book
Ike Sloan is dying in his home.
His wife is nowhere to be found.
And he is not alone.

At death's door, a troubled soldier lies tangled in memories of a war-torn past.

With each slow drip leaving his veins, the lines of reality blur and Ike returns to his darkest hour. To Luna, and to the choices he made that day in loyal service to a ruthless military power.

But in the twilight of death's embrace, not everything is as it seems.

What if Ike were given another chance? What if this time, he were to throw it all away to protect a beautiful stranger?

Returned to an echo of his shattered world, Ike is determined to find out: what trials await a traitor fighting for love?

And can he hope to find clarity before it's too late?

I won this book in a goodreads giveaway. Personally I'm glad I didn't pay for it. I like the premise a quite a bit. However the writing is too dense - too many adjectives. Too mired in the details and thereby destroys, for me, the story line. It is a good premise. It makes good points. However, the experience of reading it, for me, was a bit of drudgery and I ended up skipping parts and skimming large sections.

This book is something different. Once you get your head around it, it is very enjoyable. It is dark and gritty and not afraid to tackle the awfulness that can reside in human beings. The way the time lines or 'memories' are done is clever, despite the fact it took me a while to 'get it'. Definitely worth a read.

I was drawn into this book quickly. The language grabs you and the way the author describes the setting makes you feel as though you are in it. I liked to read something really different that is not just a straight forward novel.

An Arrow for Luna is a book that will challenge you but it is very engaging and I really enjoyed making it to the end. The only (mild) criticism I would have is that the dialogue is a bit stilted at times. Otherwise a great story and well written.

Just the kind of book I like. Short, lots of action, short chapters and easy to read. A little hard to follow in places but that's OK. I received this book for free from the Goodreads first-reads giveaway.

I liked the challenge of this book. It is not straight forward and you have to use your brain. The writing is great and overall a great first novel.
