Good it was on KU
Too convoluted. The author tried to add twists to the story but it just falls flat. No black woman would tolerate being Chase's secret for almost 10 years nor would her parents allow the disrespect. And, she definitely wouldn't leave her home. Everyone including Chase would be out. Nope not a good read.

Idk what to say
This was a different type of book. I can’t say I loved it but I didn’t hate it. I think the premise was good but I don’t think it was handled well. There were also quite a few editing errors that took away from the story. I think this book would have been better as s whole boom instead a novella. This was my first time reading this author but I would try something else.
