Typically I do not listen to many self-help books, but I found this one to be very insightful. Self-compassion is an area that I hadn't thought much of in the past, yet I will view it differently from now on. The narration in this book is straightforward and fitting of the subject matter. One does not want a dramatic narration for a self-help book. I would definitely listen to more books by these authors and narrator. The book is full of common sense and some very good points.

An Interesting Listen If You Get The Chance To Listen To An Audible Version. It Had Helpful Tips That Can Actually Help And Makes A Lot Of Sense. The Narrators Voice Is Good And Not Overpowering Or Sweet For That Matter. It’s Also A Short Listen, So When You Get A Chance Check It Out And Enjoy.

Great book on skills to be kind and compassionate to yourself when you fail or when negative emotions cloud your view. It's about cultivating mental health and self-appreciation, not self-esteem. I've never heard someone define self-esteem as a judgmental comparison of yourself to others. She defines self-appreciation as finding similarities with others, and honoring and accepting ourselves as we are. She encourages appreciating our good points and showing ourselves compassion for our mistakes and darkness.
