Ana and Aubrey were high school sweethearts and they wanted to be together forever. But then Aubrey left one night without saying something to her. Ten years go by without Ana hearing or seeing Aubrey, but she has never forgotten him. Ana has become a nurse, but she needs some vacation. She goes to stay at a cabin in the mountains. Ana is shocked when she learns that Aubrey is the owner of that cabin. Aubrey also can’t believe his eyes when he sees Ana. Sparks fly again, but Ana is afraid to get hurt again.
Ana and Aubrey are great characters. Ana is kind, caring, passionate, strong and reliable. She loves being a nurse and she works very hard, but it was time for some vacation. Ana is fascinated by the cabin in the mountains and she looks forward to being there. She loves the cabin and environments. Ana has never forgotten her first love, but she also still remembers how hurt she was when Aubrey left. She isn’t sure what to think about seeing Aubrey again, but her feelings for him are definitely still there.
Aubrey is strong, cold, lonely, hardworking and damaged, but he can be caring and sweet and hot when it’s about Ana. He’s been living in his cabin in the mountains for a long time and he tries to avoid people, but he’s ready to rent out one of his cabins. Aubrey can’t believe his eyes when he sees Ana after so many years. He never expected to ever see her again, but he’s happy about it. Aubrey will to do anything to get another chance with Ana and he will fight for her.
I adored the setting. Two cabins in the mountains, far away from any town. The environment is beautiful. It was really just the two of them and one dog (apart from one day at the beginning), which gave them a lot of time and room to get close again and fall in love again. The progress is great, just like the secondary characters.
I was doubting between 3 and 4 stars. There were some things that I liked a lot. But I can’t believe Aubrey’s reason for leaving Ana and staying away. His reason is only revealed near the end and I expected it to be very horrible, but it wasn’t. He says that he loved her so much, but he doesn’t say what’s happening to Ana and that didn’t make sense to me. I’m sure that Ana would have always supported Aubrey, so he just should have told her.

Sorry i do not like this book at all. This book is meant for adult romance with min angst and min drama. Just a lot of sex. It could be good if the plot and the story van be executed better.
The story nd the plot is dry. The character chemistry is none. The smut scenes are forced and stiff. With all that combination, the whole thing falls flat. I managed to finish it with a great reluctant. At the end i do not like it.

What is up with all these 2nd chance stories all having a 10+ year separation? Why not months - 5 years?
Anyhoo, the Hero & heroine were highschool sweethearts who were in love and making plans for their future to get married & have kids - until that is, during prom night he walked away from her without any explanation and doesn't see her for 10 years.
And when you finally learn the reason at 80-85%% (yep, it took that long!), it was pretty lame excuse (not what happened to his brother, but to the fact he couldn't talk to her & had to stay away).
And then there is the old standard cliche that he was so in love with her that he could easily walk away and stay gone for 10 years (and would have stayed gone for good if heroine had not accidentally rented his cabin). But hey - what's the point of complaining? We should know by now that these Authors cannot stretch their imaginations a bit and be a little more creative in their writing instead of giving us the same old trope over & over again? Now THAT would be asking too much apparently.

This book is set in the world of the Irresistible Bachelors series. 10 years ago Aubrey O'Day and Anabelle Tucker were deeply in love and were high school sweethearts. He was the typical jock and she was the book worm. They generated so much chemistry that you wouldn’t imagine. They had everything planned out together- what college they would attend, their careers, how many children they would have but suddenly something terrible and tragic happened on their prom night and Aubrey disappeared which changed the course of both their lives. Fast forward 10 years- she is a nurse who always works, while he is the broody mountain man. When they end up meeting up again, will they be able to get thru all the misunderstandings, miscommunications and lies to figure a way to find a way back to each other and their hearts or will their HEA forever be denied? I enjoyed this story, getting to figure out where Aubrey has been, what happened to him and just reading how much he loves Ana still. Ana is a great heroine who is sweet, sassy and smart. This is one of those stories that have you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out if this couple will get their HEA and will the past be resolved.

Wow! What a great addition to the Irresistible Bachelors Series! I liked that Ana, Trey's sister received her own story. And what a wonderful story. Full of hope, happiness and a second chance. Ana thought she had it all 10 years ago. She had the man of her dreams; Aubrey and a plan set for a future with him. Then tragedy strikes and Aubrey leaves without an explanation. Now the two are face to face again both with unanswered questions and wondering if they can deal with the past and move forward. What Ana learns in the two weeks she is on vacation is unimaginable and sheds so much light onto why things happened and how no one seemed to hear what became of Aubrey as well as his family. My heart went out to all that Aubrey has endured and how that made him turn from everyone he loved. Ana is a strong woman and proved that she could deal with what happened and still forgive Aubrey for the past. This is one of my favorites in the series. So different from the others and yet like all the other irresistible bachelors, Aubrey was not letting Ana get away. Loved the storyline. Very well written and a great HEA!

Lauren Untamed is a great addition to Irresistible Bachelors Series. This is Ana and Aubrey story they new each other back in school until one call change everything for both of them. Fast forward couple years later and meet again, Plus there chemistry is still as stronger than when they were in school. Want more you just have to ONE-CLICK NOW to read there whole story in full. I total recommend that you read the other Books in the Irresistible Series to under stand all the other characters. A must read, I volunteered to review an advance reader copy.

Untamed is another great book in the Irresistible Bachelor series. It can be read as a standalone but if you haven't already read the bachelors- go read them! All great books.

Aubrey and Ana are high school sweethearts but senior year the night they were both made prom king and queen he disappears. Now ten years later Ana is a nurse and decides she needs a vacation she rents a cabin and is surprised to find none other than Aubrey O'Day up there also.
I loved Ana right away and was upset over the fact that Aubrey had hurt her. I really felt for her and her whirlwind of emotions when it came to him I thought her trying to keep things between them casual was understandable. Aubrey grew on me throughout the book and I really felt for him and everything he had been through.

Not so sure about his name - at first kept confusing it with being a girl.
10 years ago they were high school sweethearts, until prom night when he runs out on her not to be seen or heard from. She’s a nurse and she rents a cabin for two weeks to get away from the pressures at work. It’s his cabin. They fall into lust and her not trusting of him and gradually able to listen to his story. This is all crappy - 10 years - and him just running out… His brother is in the military and is MIA and his brother’s girlfriend loses the baby. It’s traumatic but not so you wouldn’t reach out to the girl you want to marry. He enlists in the military to kind of honor his brother.
He’s very possessive. Some hot 🔥🔥🔥scenes - he marks her a bit.

Very well written, very interesting, completely addictive with a realistic subject and adorable characters who share a crazy chemistry, you will fall under the spell from the first few pages!!! Do not get surprised if you pull an all nighter without even realizing it... Ana and Aubrey have this kind of effect!!!

2nd chances are not easy
Ana was a total different person 10 years ago but since the. She has become a nurse at the local hospital and recently needing a vacation when a former patient told her to live life. When she got to the cabin that reminded her of the man she never got over. she was ready to relax, except this huge man that needed medical help sounded just like the one she instantly hated. The road to each other is not all rainbows.

Untamed by Lauren Landish a five-star read that will have you roaring. This is the ninth book in the Irresistible Batchelors series, but they are all stand-alone, there are pop ups, but they don’t alter the story. If you have ever wanted to run away to a mountain cabin, then this will fill a need in you. Or ever just wanted to climb a mountain (physically like Everest or just the male variety) this will also fill your need and more. The way the author describes everything even down to the wood being chopped is just right, its not overly flowery but has its own place. This is a second chance romance but there is also a great story and characters as well. I have long been a fan of the authors work, but this is one of the best.

Accidentally read book 9 first. Oops.
I didn't like the characters, writing, or (lack of) plot but I will say that Aubrey was actually a decent person for a little bit of the book which is more than most romance novels so I'm giving this book 1.5 stars. I don't know y'all. I need to stop this.

The author really made us root so hard for these characters and I loved how she juxtaposed flashbacks from the past to shed light on the blossoming love and eventual destruction of this beloved couple. These two certainly have their ups and downs but their HEA was absolutely beautiful and yes, in case you’re wondering, sweet Ana eventually tames her beast…except in the bedroom (hee hee!)
This was an audio listen and the NARRATION by Stephen Dexter and Ava Erickson was fantastic! Mr. Dexter’s deep, gravelly, rumbly tone was perfect for growly mountain man Aubrey O’Day. His impassioned performance both SEDUCED me and made my HEART ACHE, and I love how this talented narrator always throws his whole essence into his performances!
As for Ms. Erickson, she was wonderfully cast as Ana! Her soft, feminine voice brought this sweet, stubborn and kind-hearted heroine to life for me, and I loved the vast range of emotions she depicted throughout. Her intonations could shift from soft and sweetly compassionate, to sexy and sultry, to sassy and strong-willed with such finesse. And the manner in which she infused this heroine with an intoxicating blend of strength and empathy and aching vulnerability left me breathless!

This was an awesome second chance romance/ mountain man book. Yum, gotta love a grizzly guy livin in the mountains and chopping wood. Aubrey has some explainin to do when he runs into Ana, about why he broke her heart years ago. These two have delicious chemistry and a lot of heat. I love how her brother and his bf look out for her. Very sweet.
I really enjoyed this. I've enjoyed this whole series, they can be read as stand alones, and it's cool when you see how characters from previous books are doing.

Lauren Landish once again created for us a magnificent story. I gave it five well-earned stars. She created a complete background for both our hero and heroine to build upon. One is isolated out of guilt and grief, while the other throws themselves into their work to such an extent that there is no room for relationships or even rest. The lack of rest is starting to be noticed. A poster in the cafeteria shows an idyllic scene in the mountains overlooking a lake. Vacation is no problem as it was never used. Two weeks should recharge batteries. A lot of rest, reading, watching the sunset and the lake.
Lauren gave our other main character a somewhat OCD-like character. Filling the days with lots of hard work, little time to ponder what might-have-been. A well-meaning cousin of our isolated mountain dweller throws a spanner into the works by creating an advertisement for an unused cottage on the property. The money definitely could be used, but strangers?
What I will take away from this book is that it harms everyone to let the past lie unresolved. Everyone suffers.

The love of his life was Anabelle Tucker, or Ana. They were high school sweethearts starting in their junior year. He asked her to senior prom, and she accepted. Aubrey had never seen her look so gorgeous. Ana thought that they would go to college together and forge a life together filled with love and family. She was just named Prom Queen and took her place on the stage. Aubrey's name was called out as Prom King, but he ran out of the building without a word to her. She tried to reach him by phone that evening and for days, no luck. His family just picked up and moved away without a word to anyone. Ana is devastated. She becomes a nurse to help other people. Neither Ana nor Aubrey could move on with their lives. Ana did not date, and Aubrey isolated himself on a large tract of land in the mountains above their town. He spent his time, chopping wood, hunting, growing a small garden. He's become quite self sufficient, but the tax man needs to be paid, thus the vast quantities of chopped wood that he sells in town.
Ana's brother Trey is all for her taking some time for herself and to rest. He and his boyfriend Brad drive her up the mountain and stay for a couple of days to make sure that she will be fine by herself. They are all surprised that Aubrey is the owner of the guest cabin, and Aubrey is surprised that Ana is his first paying customer. Trey is acting the protective older brother, in spades! The road to full disclosure by Aubrey for what happened is long and difficult. But ,they make it. They both fall in love again.
If you like a mystery, some angst, some steamy sex, an HEA, and a wonderful yarn, then I highly recommend this tale to you. I loved it!

If you don’t mind hunting, this will probably be a 5-star read for you
I was really excited about reading this book, it’s why it pains me to say that I did not finish it. I stopped at 43%, just shy of the end of Chapter 13.
This is only my second book by Lauren Landish, and this one I didn’t choose for the cover but on the strength of her previous book, Scorpio. Can Lauren Landish set the stage for her story! She makes captivating only learning about the characters, without much hint at their past history, which increases the dying-to-know factor tenfold. Aubrey O’Day has become a hermit bordering on caveman; he lives alone on Bear Mountain with his Siberian husky, Rex. He has little interaction with anyone, save his cousin Carlotta Lawson. And he hunts for food. Ana Tucker, is a nurse, she is overtired; it’s time for a vacation. While talking with a patient, she looks at Bear Mountain: that is where she’ll go. But the lake? She’s been there before …
Aubrey comes off as a gruff bear, and Ana is lovely without being a dishrag. I loved seeing her at work as a nurse (yes, she works!). I often have problems with enemies-to-lovers tropes, which are often combined with second chance romance, and Lauren Landish provided me the reason why. Ana still feels something for Aubrey, and how she wishes she didn’t, which made everything believable. There was also Ana’s brother, Trey, and his fabulous significant other Brad, who was absolutely fabulous. And the sex scenes are some of the most sizzling I have ever read, even for me the sex-scene-skimmer.
Now, here is where the problem was. Aubrey’s hunting had been mentioned several times before in passing, and while I disapprove of hunting unless it’s a matter of life or death, and in Aubrey’s case, it wasn’t; he went to the grocery store for other things. What stopped me cold from continuing the book is when Aubrey asks Ana on a date, a “hunting date”, complete with guns and bows and arrows. For the life of me, I could never fathom what is romantic about going on a hike with the sole purpose of killing animals, and what made it worse is that Ana was excited about it. Although I really wanted to know how the story would conclude, this episode turned my stomach, and I couldn’t even finish the chapter. No killing was done – so if you don’t like hunting – skip Chapter 13, but I simply could not go on. It left me feeling apprehensive (what if there was more of that to come, although I doubt it), and honestly, disgusted.
I will be looking forward to more of Lauren Landish’s books, because she is at the moment one of the best contemporary romance authors around – and I’m feeling pretty jaded at the moment. She is a fine writer: eloquent, thorough, insightful, but I simply could not stomach the “hunting date”.

4.25 second chance stars
I actually listened to this book on Audible and really enjoyed it. I honestly thought the narration by Ava Erickson and Stephen Dexter was perfect! Their voices matched up with what my mind thought Ana and Aubrey might truly sound like. Thus, the narration added so much to my enjoyment of this story for me personally.
This is my first Lauren Landish book and I was so pleased! I was able to listen to book 9 of a series and not feel like I was missing out on anything at all that may have taken place in any of the previous books. This was a true standalone in every sense.
Untamed is a second chance romance about high school superstar athlete Aubrey O'Day and his girl Ana. The two young lovers had plans to spend the rest of their lives together until one tragic event changes everything. Aubrey abruptly disappears from Ana's life leaving her heart shattered for the next decade. What Ana does not realize is that Aubrey is just as shattered, and he has pined for her ever since, unable to fully put the pieces of his life back together.
When Ana decides to take a vacation to the mountains, she could not have imagined that after all this time, she would come face to face with the one time love of her life. Aubrey turns out to be the owner of one of the two cabins that are nestled within the remote mountains; one of which has been rented by Ana.
Over the initial sudden and unexpected shock of seeing one another after ten years, Aubrey is determined to set his life back on the course that he always felt was predestined. While Ana is guarded and unsure where her heart is concerned, the caring, considerate, registered nurse part of her demands that she help Aubrey after he sustains an injury. Aubrey was the perfect, gruff, alpha, bad---, mountain man with a heart desperate to love. Ana was selfless, sweet, spirited, and deserved a man who could and would always love her the way Aubrey did.
Their story was sweet and yet intensely passionate, with plenty of heat. Loved that epilogue!
Really enjoyable audiobook that I highly recommend. I definitely plan to read more from this author and look forward to getting to know many more of the irresistible bachelors.

This 9th story in The Irresistible Bachelor series is one emotional journey between high school sweethearts, Ana and Aubrey. He is the big athletic guy and she is the shy book smart beautiful girl that she does not see herself as. They have fallen in love and make plans to attend college together and marry. During prom after Ana is announced Queen and Aubrey King he never makes it to the stage and disappears for 10 years without any explanation! There are many rumors but no one knows what really happened. Ana has made a life for herself as a nurse in her hometown and in need of some time away. Unknown to her the cabin she rents and shares a couple days with her brother Trey and his boyfriend, Brad belongs to Aubrey who lives next door! Aubrey has had more pain and suffering that as any 18 year old should have to deal with and he does not handle those events in a positive way. He blamed himself for the outcome of some life altering events and continued to walk away from Ana and the life he had earned and loved! Aubrey falls and is hurt all Ana sees a hairy mountain man on the ground hurt and she goes into nurse mode and after a few minutes they both realize who the other is! There is some yelling and help but Ana does not want to bring the past to the present and walks away mad. Trey and Brad leave after the weekend and Aubrey takes the time to get Ana to come to him as he knows she is the one who holds his heart and future in her hands. They spend some amazing time together and do not address the past until the end of her vacation and Ana does not know what to think when Aubrey finally explains what occurred all those years ago. Ana can not believe at the end of her 2 weeks she leaves without knowing what’s going on and tries to move forward each days without Aubrey on the other hand Aubrey takes is easy and let’s his ankle heal but he and his dog Rex miss Ana. Will Aubrey allow Ana to walk away a second time without a fight? This is a beautiful love story that you have you feeling heartbreak, fun, sadness and joy! Emotions run high throughout this picturesque mountain getaway as Aubrey and Ana find themselves together after many years apart.
Ten years a multitude of guilt, betrayal, lust, love, and one sprained ankle sprang to the surface- not how either of them expected their day to start. Aubrey wanted to hide away in his cabin as he always did. Ana wanted to begin her relaxing 2-week vacation.
It looks like plans have changed, the past has mixed with the present, and the combination could melt the snow off the polar ice caps!
Holy buckets of feels the ninth book in the Irresistible Bachelors series, and I cannot get enough this one had me up until the light of dawn trying to finish.
I've said it before and I will say it again this series has captivated me with its characters, and storylines I love the down-to-earth feeling of them mixed with the perfect amounts of fiction, creating passionate, heart-mending worlds I can get lost in for a little while, coming out the other side better for it!
Ana and Aubrey's story had me going back and forth on that an emotional rollercoaster high right along with them I couldn't decide whether I agreed with Ana or I agreed with Aubrey more most of the time. I love when stories/authors get me that involved in their lives. (yes I'm aware of how that sounds, humph I'm taking Brads advice*hair flip*.)
Having Brad and Trey along for the ride - the best friends/brothers anyone could ever have as far as I'm concerned added a beautiful bond, weaving humor that was much needed to break up the sadness, making this fantastic story that much more relatable and fun.
Second chances, a mountainous of a man who will stop at nothing to regain her trust, beastly nights * FANS SELF * heartbreak to heart mend, some of the best advice you'll ever get, laughs and love what more can you ask in a romance?

I loved everything about this book. I love mountain men. Wild, rugged, handsome and all alpha male. And I love sweet, fiesty women.
Aubrey O'Day is gruff, handsome, rugged and living in solitude until he rents his other cabin that's on his property and his first guest is not one he thought he'd see again. His highschool sweetheart, Ana.
But all the old feelings come roaring back but can he get her to forgive him for the mistakes he made of their past.
Ana is sweet, loyal and kind. She's a nurse and while caring for a particular paitent, she's told to take a vacation, to relax and unwind. So while on a break she spots a poster with a beautiful photo that is beautiful and familiar and decides to book it. But when she gets there, she's not expecting to see her highschool sweetheart. Old and new feelings arise and also so does the anger.
Sparks fly when these two come together. They still have that chemistry they had in high school. Aubrey wants Ana, completely! But Ana is fighting it all but she can't hold off her lustful thoughts. Plus her nursing instinct kids in when Aubreybhurtsb himself. They get along really well and it comes time when Aubrey has to tell Ana why he left all them years ago but is she ready to hear it. Didn't expect what he said though, came as a complete surprise.
I was rooting for these two from being to end. They were perfect together. I loved them individually and as a couple. i loved Aubrey's filthy mouth, too. I also loved Trey and Brad. Brad made me giggle a few times throughout this book. He was the perfect lightness needed. I'm happy they got all their problems sorted. Another fab book.

Brad made me giggle a few times throughout this book. He was the perfect lightness needed. I'm happy they got all their problems sorted. Another fab book.

I can’t believe I’ve finished this series! What a wonderful set of stories that I’m glad I picked up. I’ve connected with each and every one of these characters and Aubrey and Ana were no exception. I genuinely just enjoyed reading the past stuff both of them went through and I loved how it kept me guessing on what exactly happened to Aubrey and why he disappeared after all these years. It kept me in suspense. Each time I thought I was going to get the story, they delay it a little further and continue my guessing game which I wound up being right about one of them, but the other I never saw coming. Everything Aubrey went through, I can see changed him from the person he was in high school until now. All of that trauma really changes a person and you see a big difference. It was nice to get that side of his story and what happened. It’s what drove me most of book, aside from the insane chemistry, heat and off the charts sexual appetite Ana and Aubrey have for each other which definitely made me fan myself. I also read about how different Ana was in high school compared to now and I enjoyed that aspect of the book too. I love how it was tasteful flashbacks and not a book full of them like I’ve read in the past. When flashbacks become most, if not all of the book then they become meaningless and don’t prove a point. The ones in here, helped the story along and made you understand that time and helped support reasons for the way Aubrey and Ana are in the present. It shows how far they’ve come and what was accomplished. It was a very enjoyable read and I’m happy with the way the series ended but also bittersweet too. Who knows though, Devon and Aubrey’s sister need a story so I guess it can continue since the door is open for that. Overall, much deserved 5.

Narrated by Ava Erickson and Stephen Dexter, the book is an incredible listen. Ava brings every feeling Anna has to life with her wildly passionate and emotional voices. Stephen has a growlie, yet sensual sound for Aubrey that will stir your heart to life. Together the book is phenomenal!
