Sonia Lazo is a tropical witch from tiny El Salvador. She's happiest when making art and hanging out with her cat-familiar, Dougie.

Just wholesome, inclusive, witchy goodness! The vibrant colour palette, the diversity of subject matters touched upon, and the diversity in the illustrations themselves, all led to this being a delightful, if regretfully quick, read. Sonia Lazo is definitely now an individual I want to be best friends with!
This book is so cute and caring! Definitely a good recommendation if you are behind your reading schedule. The illustrations are gorgeous and colorful, the message is powerful and there is diversity!
This was such a fun and quirky book! I really enjoyed reading this book and seeing all the wonderful illustrations. I wasn't familiar with the author/artist, Sonia Lazo, prior to being sent this book so I was able to view Witch, please! with a fresh and open mind. I was impressed by the various topics and illustrations Sonia Lazo included within her book, showing her support and solidarity for any and all women. The illustrations were bright and beautiful pieces of art I would happily display on my walls! Sonia Lazo is most definitely on my radar now and I would recommend this cute and confident boosting read to any witchy fans!
This book took me by surprise. I think the "musings on life" in the subtitle had me thinking that this was going to be a memoir or made something like a self-help book. But it's more of a sweet and inclusive picture book that centers around witches. In this case, the witches are really just advocating for self-love and equality and supporting one another's craft and community. So even if you know nothing about Wicca, it's a charming vibrant picture book that has good feels.
I didn't find the content to be anything revolutionary or something I didn't know. The artwork was gorgeous and I adored it. Which is the primary reason I gave it four stars. It was just so colorful and magical to look at.
The art is absolutely phenomenal. This is an adorable book. My only gripe is it's a little bit prescriptive. I.e. Witches are [fill in blank] but it's not meant to be a how-to book. It's fun and colourful and I'm really excited to have it on my shelf. ♥
I love both Sonia Lazo's illustrations and witches, so I couldn't not love this small and cute book!
It's full of colours, bright, uplifting, and I think it's a beautiful way to celebrate diversity, witchstory, and the magic of everyday life—and, of course, the magic of art!

The only drawback is that the font and colours used for the text will make this book hard (or even impossible) to read for some people.
Super cute witchy quick read. The illustrations are gorgeous. This was a nice switch from the heavier books I have been reading. It is informative while also being eye pleasing.
I would recommend this for people like me who have no concept of witches and their history
i didn't know this book existed but then it also has been on my tbr since january. magical
this was adorable and unlike some other witchcraft books actually very inclusive. it's a quirky little guide that should build confidence in any witch. baby witch (me!) or experienced witch.
You will fall in love with this stunning book. On each page are lush illustrations with beautiful colours. It’s actually longer than I was expecting and full to the brim with drawings. The book is well worth purchasing for Sonia’s art alone. However, the lovely art is complemented by a sweet narrative explaining a brief history of witches and the place of the modern witch from her point of view. Supportive and very inclusive, Sonia has made the subject very accessible for anyone and everyone. Truely a piece to display with pride.
This was such a great little book on witches. The illustrations were charming and unique, and by the end of the book it leaves you feeling just a bit magical. My only complaint and the reason I had to dock a star was that there were 2-3 pages where the text didn't have enough contrast to the background that I couldn't read it on my e-reader. Overall, I'd highly recommend it as a fun quickie or gift for the witch feminist in your life.
