Rate this book
It has never been a more challenging time for managers and leaders to maintain a happy, healthy workforce. The pace of change and increasing uncertainty in most industries has resulted in a rapid increase in stress and anxiety in the workplace, and most organizations are poorly equipped to respond to these challenges in a meaningful and supportive way.

Penguin Business Experts: Coaching is a practical guide for leaders who want to foster a culture where everyone has a chance to flourish, create and innovate while being happy and more resilient. It draws on cutting-edge, evidence-based techniques in coaching that focus on developing mindfulness and compassion in leaders, their employees and throughout their organisation with case studies of best practice from around the world. It covers everything you need to know to develop your own approach to coaching starting with learning how to coach yourself through to techniques to foster a coaching culture rooted in mindfulness and compassion within your team, and ultimately your organization.

I read in English but this review is being written in Bahasa Indonesia

Coaching can be a 'just-in-time' intervention, helping employee avoid becoming depressed and taking time off from work.

Menurut International Coach Federation, "Coaching is partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential."

Dalam buku Coach Your Team, Liz Hall menuliskan bagaimanakah sebaiknya sebuah proses "coaching" dilakukan.

In coaching and leadership, showing appreciation helps create trust and openness. We can always find something to appreciate.

This book feels like the highlights or notes version of a deeper, more thorough textbook. It brushes the tops of all the trees, but never gets into the forest. If you've had significant coaching training, it may be enough to remind you of your strategies, but it does not give enough detail (aside from "start with meditation" every. single. time.) for anyone to start coaching, even poorly, their team. I found nothing to take away from the book and incorporate into my own coaching practice. It's too general.

Some good, if not very novel ideas about incorporating coaching and mindfulness to everyday teamwork. As a book, though, I felt Coach Your Team was a bit repetitive and not very deep — I do get the feeling, though, that the author could be great as a speaker or as a guest in a podcast…
