Cassidy was my first. My sweet genius. My love. Now, he's lost to me, trapped in his own mind by dark magic. It's up to me and the rest of my boys to bring him back to us. What will I do to save him? Who will I kill?
An ancient book, warded with powerful dragon magic, has torn my love away from me. Cassidy lies in a coma, and even my empathic powers can’t reach him.
Someone sent him that book. The Elder Council? My new allies in Alpha Squad? I don’t know who to trust anymore. But I refuse to let my mate be a pawn in the dragons’ games of power. Not as his lover, and not as his Queen.
I’m holding my mates and my McKinnett’s family closer than ever, and we’re going to fight to get Cassidy back.
Even if it kills us.
Shadow in the Ether is a very steamy reverse harem romance with intense scenes, strong language, and potentially triggering content. It is the fourth book in the Arysia Bellmont series.
I am still loving this series. The drama that keeps coming with the council and Sia is enough to keep me guessing about what could happen next. This story had plenty of politics, betrayal, little mysteries, and heartbreak.
The revelation about the Great Serpent is actually something I had expected. I knew there would be a significant relationship between dragons and the great serpent.
I love how the author is portraying Sia while she is taking on the Shadow Queen role. Sia hasn’t forgotten who she is and who helped shape her into the woman she is today. She has deviated from her own beliefs and virtues even though she’s being pressured to do differently because of Shadow Queen status.
Another great book in this series. Loving seeing the alpha teams personality come out more. This has got a fantastic combination of love and action. Looking forward to the next book.
I find the story progressing well. I just wish there was a bit more character growth for Arysia (personality wise) but I guess there really hasn't been much time. I'm happy to continue to read the serious just not anxious too.
Eh, there is a danger in finishing a book almost two years after you start it. I will give this book a faithful five star because I don't know where the errors in my taste and memory are.
I recommend for YA jumpers looking for their first New Adult Urban Fantasy.
Another great book in the series. Finally, getting some answers to the mysteries that have been hinted at in the preceding books. No idea how it’s all going to be resolved so looking forward to the next book!
